Zoe is going to camp GlumbleGlibble and hopes she has everything she needs. Whilst at camp all the activities are very different to what she expected, she also meets a new human friend Charlotte who she has a lot in common with. But her GlumbleGlibble Zoomi becomes jealous, upset and angry that she is being left out.
What an imaginative and creative story, early readers will really enjoy this book, its full of imagination and its so very creative, giving us this whole different world through a pineapple portal to get to the GlumbleGlibble world. The characters were really funny and creative and I loved that each one was unique and so inclusive aswell.
I had a fun time reading it, it was a great story on friendship and the difficulties of seeing your friend play with another and feeling left out. It had such fun activities that they were doing and also a great way to show about stay away camp but in a more easy and fun way.
The illustrations were cute, seeing all the different characters, their best friends, the activities they were doing and the whimsical land that they were living at. I think readers will have a wonderful time with this, it’s really funny and creative, funny in places, has a sweet story and a good lesson on frienship.

There is something that I just love so much about the Zoomi and Zoe series. Each book really highlights something that children struggle with and lays it out in a way that is identifiable, and digestible for a kid. This series just really makes me happy as a parent. I love that there are books that show these types of feelings are not just singular, they can be something that a lot of people struggle with. This book beautifully lays out Zoomi and Zoe being excited about going to camp together, for them to realize that they have different ideas on how certain activities should be done. As camp goes along Zoe starts to make new connections and friends and this causes Zoomi to get sad. This book beautifully navigates how just because your best friend meets someone new, it doesn’t mean they aren’t still your best friend.

A lovely illustrated children’s book that my daughter and I enjoyed. My daughter read this to myself and had no issue or difficulty with any of the text. We particularly enjoyed the illustrations doing a fantastic job of bringing Zoomi & Zoe to life. Excellent moral values, especially the value of friendship that are shown throughout the book. A fantastic story for early readers, highly recommended.

I great addition to the series. Young readers will learning valuable life lessons while exploring an imaginative and creative world. I wish I could watch a talent show sitting on a comfy tulip chair!

Zoomi and Zoe and the Camp Catastrophe by Corey Ann Haydu continues the story of friends Zoomi and Zoe, this time at Camp GlumbleGlibble, where Zoe and Zoomi both have to change their way of thinking how things are done. These are fun books with a good message for kids and adults both.
