One in a Million: A Small Town Romance by Blakely Adams is a closed-door romance, the kind of romance that sneaks up on you. Soft at first, then suddenly you’re fully invested, heart wide open, rooting for Sophie Winters, who is a hot mess, and Jake Callwell. They feel so achingly real you could swear you’ve met them at the local café. The small-town setting is cozy without being syrupy, full of familiar rhythms and side characters. It’s the kind of world you slip into easily and don’t want to leave. What I loved most was how Adams balances sweetness with depth. There’s warmth, yes, but also healing. There’s flirtation, but also vulnerability. When the romantic payoff arrives, it feels earned. This book has all the feels. It’s the kind of story that makes you close the book and just breathe it in. It makes you realize that second chances are worth the effort. If you’re craving a romance that wraps around you like a soft blanket and reminds you that love often finds us when we least expect it, One in a Million delivers exactly that.
This book was cute and sweet! The characters are likeable, the small town vibe is perfect and it was a great length. Not too drawn out or repetitive. It felt like a romance movie that you put on when you’re looking for something cozy and comforting.
