I honestly don’t even know where to start with this one.
House of Lies put me through every possible emotion — grief, anger, confusion, heartbreak, and that constant feeling of wait… what did I just read? From the beginning, the story pulls you in and never gives you a moment to breathe.
Chiara absolutely broke my heart. She is a character who loves deeply and gives everything she has, even when it destroys her in the process. Her grief, trauma, and need to be loved feel painfully real, and I found myself wanting to both protect her and scream at her to run. Grief changes people, and this book shows just how messy and consuming that can be.
Liar is… complicated. One moment I hated him with everything in me, the next I caught myself questioning whether he actually cared. He’s the kind of character who keeps you emotionally off-balance, and I never knew what to believe when it came to him. Their dynamic is intense, dark, and impossible to ignore — full of tension, obsession, and emotional chaos.
Nothing in this book is what it seems. The twists had me questioning reality, the lies blurred into truth, and I constantly felt like I was missing something just beneath the surface. There were moments that made me gasp, moments that made me angry, and moments that had me staring at the page in disbelief.
And that ending… absolutely cruel. The cliffhanger left me sitting there thinking WTF just happened?! I’m so glad this is part of a trilogy, because I need answers — immediately.
⚠️ Please read the trigger warnings. This book does not hold back, and your mental health matters.
Dark, emotional, twisted, and completely addictive. I’m fully invested and counting down the days until the next book. 🖤
