Only You: A Slow Burn Second Chance Romance Book

Rate this book
"Only You" is a bestseller second chance romance book about losing and finding yourself.

It was love at first sight.

But, this isn’t about first love. It’s about the only love... love that breaks you, heals you, and dares you to believe again.

Neeranjana Bajaj

A rebel heiress born with a silver spoon. A daughter too cherished, a sister too protected.

I believed in fairy tales and happily-ever-afters. And then, I met him... my prince charming. He stormed into my very being, until he was all I could breathe, until he became the only story my heart wanted to tell.

But fate conspired to strip away every illusion I ever held.

It crushed my spirit and shattered me beyond repair.

So I rebuilt myself, and now I am the Bajaj heiress who runs boardrooms like battlefields. I never, ever let my heart feel anything but… pain. And yet…

'Though pain has carved its deepest lines, and nights have bled me blue,

Through every scar, through every tear, my heart beats for only you.'

Samar Singh Rathore

Being the youngest prince of Jodhpur came with a rule book. Every smile rehearsed, every bow calculated, every breath monitored.

And then I saw her on the night of the masquerade.

Neera wasn’t royalty, wasn’t protocol, wasn’t duty. She was freedom wrapped in silk, fire disguised as laughter. She made me want more—more laughter, more madness, more… her.

She was my escape. My Cinderella.

She wasn’t just a girl I wanted. She was the only girl I would ever want.

And then, destiny tore us apart.

Now… I’m back to find her, to claim her, to beg the universe for one last chance.

But this Neera isn’t the dreamer I lost. She’s sharper, harder and untouchable. She can hate me. She can slam doors. She can throw every blade of her fury at me.

I’ll bleed for her if I have to.

Because I’m still hers and she’s still mine.

‘I’d burn my crown, defy every law, beg the stars to rewrite fate too,

To find you, hold you, make us whole again…. to love only you.’

This isn’t just a love story. It's a story about losing and finding yourself. It’s about love, heartbreak, friendship, family, and the courage to rise again.

It’s for everyone who’s ever fallen apart and put themselves back together.

Tropes you’ll find
Royal Romance, Slow Burn, Second Chance, Office Romance, Forbidden Love.Only You is the third book in the Intertwined Series but can be read as standalone.

This book is the longest book I have ever read. I have read books with 500-plus pages and even books with 600-plus pages, but this one has 790 pages. When I first opened it and saw the number of pages, I wasn’t sure whether I would be able to complete it or not—whether I would finish it or just put it on hold—but curiosity got the better of me. I pulled an all-nighter and finished it in a single day. It was that addictive.

It’s a second-chance romance, a royal romance where he is the royal heir and she is a commoner, a business heir. They first met at a masquerade and, like Cinderella, she disappeared—but unlike Cinderella, she didn’t leave behind a shoe or anything to help him find her. They met again in college. He was her senior, and she and her friend created quite a ruckus on their first day.

During those college years, they were the picture-perfect couple—the kind of couple we all wish to be one day. Samar was the dream boyfriend turned into reality, while Neera was the perfect rebel, a strong female lead. Her sarcasm, her thoughts, her opinions—OHH MYY GODD, she was fire. Samar, on the other hand, was the sunshine boy, weighed down by family responsibilities. She was chaos; he was her calm. They fit together completely. But of course, destiny tested their love. A misunderstanding broke them apart. Years later, they met again—or rather, he hunted her down, found her, and begged for forgiveness. But it wasn’t a smooth ride where she instantly forgave him. Instead, it was a whole rollercoaster of emotions.

Neera didn’t open up easily. It took nearly 30 chapters before she even allowed herself to consider that something could happen again. Her emotional journey, her mental health struggles, her healing—it all felt so real, so relatable. My heart broke for her. When the truth of her struggles and the pain she faced alone was revealed, it shattered me. I was furious at Samar, unwilling to even think of giving him another chance. For most of the book, my scowl and frown mirrored Neera’s.

But Samar didn’t give up. He admitted his mistake—not intentional, but still devastating—and vowed to pay for it. We didn’t get a deep dive into his struggles, but we felt them. His loneliness, his life wrapped in lies and chandeliers and family façades—it was palpable.

What I loved most was that this book didn’t drag drama unnecessarily. Yes, there was drama, but it wasn’t stretched out with endless push-pull or dragged-out truths. It was simple and impactful, and I’m so thankful for that. Their hate in the first few chapters was already heartbreaking—I couldn’t have taken more.

The supporting characters were amazing. Neera and Samar were blessed with such a strong chosen family—friends who protected, guided, and anchored them. Kanika wasn’t wrong when she said Samar was the perfect boyfriend back in college—the secret rendezvous, the little acts of service, him cooking, him gifting, him always doing something meaningful for her. Those small things blew me away. Neera and Samar were so adorable—pieces of my heart I’m not ready to let go of.

And then came Manan Bajaj, this guy *heart emoji* People may want a boyfriend like Samar, but I want a guy like Manan. His protectiveness, his calmness, his anchoring presence for Neera—it was wholesome and heartwarming. I sighed, swooned, melted—all of it while reading his scenes. I cannot wait for his book.

Aarav and Ryan — these two idiots are the perfect best friends a girl could ask for. They are bestie material. I also loved how mental health was given so much importance—therapy, healing, breaking stigmas. It added depth and realism.

I would definitely recommend this book. If you love second-chance romances, reverse grumpy x sunshine, raw emotions with found-family vibes—then this book is definitely for you.

I finished reading this captivating desi romance novel 3 days ago and I'm still reeling from the emotional rollercoaster! The story follows a prince who hides his royal identity while pursuing his MBA at a community college, where he meets his junior, a multi-millionaire's daughter who's also hiding her true identity.

Their chemistry is undeniable, and their love story is a beautiful blend of romance, drama, and humor. However, their happiness is short-lived, as family problems and misunderstandings drive them apart for three long years. The author masterfully conveys the pain and struggle of their separation, and I felt invested in their journey.

The supporting cast, particularly the heroine's friends and the hero's friends, add a delightful touch to the story. Their friendships are authentic, relatable, and often hilarious.

What I loved most about this book is the way it explores themes of identity, love, and growth. The characters' development is remarkable, especially the hero's journey from a carefree prince to a mature, determined individual.

The second-chance romance is expertly handled, and the happily-ever-after ending feels earned. If you're a fan of romance, drama, and found family, you'll love this book!

Only You is one of those stories that quietly steals your heart and refuses to let go. The kind of book that makes you cry, smile, and heal all at once.
Neera and Samar’s story felt so real and grounded — not a dreamy fairytale, but a love that’s messy, complicated, and full of second chances. Their pain, guilt, and longing were written so honestly that I could feel every emotion right through the pages. The side characters — Nishi, Kanika, Arav, and Ryan — brought so much warmth and comfort, making the story even more special — the friendships, the family bonds, the heartbreak, and the healing.
This isn’t just a romance; it’s a story about losing yourself, finding forgiveness, and learning to love again with all your heart. If you enjoy emotional, slow-burn romances that break you a little before piecing you back together, Only You is the perfect read for you ❤️

This book is one of the best reads I have ever done. I don't know where to start writing about this review. I was so hooked on it that I finished reading it in 2 days. The emotions I felt while reading is what I crave to read. The thing which I looked for in a book, it had everything in it.
The book is about Samar Singh Rathore and Neeranjana Bajaj. Both of them come from different family backgrounds. Samar being from the Royal family has certain duties and responsibilities he has to fulfill whereas Neeranjana aka Neera is the pampered child in her family she has not been in the spotlight. Her family had hidden her identity to protect her. Samar and Neera both met in college and fell in love with each other but one incident changed their life forever. The promise of forever was just destroyed. But after four years he saw her and for the first time he felt that he wanted her again in her life but little did he know that the reason for their state will be person whom he least expected and also the person he loves the most His Neera has changed in these four years she is not the same person she is changed and she doesn't want him in her life at all. Him being him will not stop at anything once he sets his mind. Now the question arises will they get their happily ever after?

I'm in love with this book. Where do I start from? Samar Singh Rathore is a green flag, the way he loves her unconditionally and without any reason is what makes him such a green flag. I fell in love with him so much. The way he did so many things for her in the past, the way he showered his love to her(Where do I get this guy who is head over heels over her)

Neeranjana Bajaj is the lady boss of the book. The strong FMC is what I like in a book when any author shows that a female character doesn't need any pity and this book shows that Neera is such a strong woman. The way she endured so much in her life shattered my moment still she stood strong.

There are so many great things in the book. Where do I start from? Firstly, the quotes before each chapter were so so good that reading some of them made me cry. Secondly, the character's bonding is one of the things which stand out. Each and every character was so supportive of their love and did everything for them. And specially devil's angel scenes in the start(even I want such type of friends). Thirdly, the love the have for each other 😩, how do we find this type of love, yearning, agnst, passion. The way he loves her so much and the way she even after denies still loved him(even I want Samar).

If you ask me if I recommend this book to you then it's a big YES from my side. Do give this book a chance it will break you but as well as heal you🥹.

At times there exists stories which keep you hooked , this was one of them , the book ain't your ridy rosy romance but rather a more real picture of how a were meant to be couple also gets estranged and given second chances life is also kind , the main characters were indeed whom I loved but the side characters had my heart , they are the once I felt who made the story more believable , the way the story goes through all the levels of human life be it childhood , youth and adult life you will feel super engaged with the book .

The perfect couple who are meant to be together the golden boy samar the buisness heiress neera , the banter the cozy couple movements they share feel like the couple's you see in colleges, and this they feel relatable , but when the misunderstanding years them apart boy my heart was broken . Later they meet as adults and trust me I had so much anguish towards samar.

Neera has grown evil ed has her own standing she the powerful FMC we need , not a princess in distress rather she is the queen , but knowing how she is gonna struggle with her mental health and how her past still weighs her down despite nothing being her fault had me crying.

Samar grovels and guys grovelling is too good to miss out on spanning 30 chapters even before coming into thoughts of the FMC I loved how it isn't " okey I forgive you " in two days but rather " you should know better and grovel even more "

Loved the book and looking forward for more reads from the author

Only You is a second-chance romance, and royal heir-meets-rebellious commoner vibe.
Samar Singh Rathore is calm, responsible, golden-boy energy, carrying all these family burdens on his shoulders.
Neeranjana Bajaj—Neera—is chaos, fire, sarcasm, and strength all rolled into one. Their dynamic was anbsolute perfection. He’s her calm and she’s his storm.
They fall in love in college, and honestly, they were the couple everyone dreams about. But life wasn’t kind to them, and a huge misunderstanding tore them apart. Years later, Samar tracks her down, desperate to make things right but Neera isn’t the same girl anymore. She’s stronger, guarded, and broken in ways he can’t even imagine.
I love how the emotional part was real. It shows all her journey of her mental health struggles, her healing, her walls and everyth I was furious at Samar at points, cheering for him at others, and completely invested in every little step of their relationship. And yes, it took time for Neera to forgive him, which made it so much more believable and satisfying.
The friends, the found family—they were everything. Kanika, Nishi, Aarav, Ryan… all of them added so much heart and humor. And then there’s Manan Bajaj—calm, protective, steady—seriously, I melted every time he appeared. Honestly, everyone may swoon over Samar, but I’m obsessed with Manan.
By the end, I was completely attached. Their love isn’t perfect, but it’s real, raw, and earned. I laughed, I cried, I yelled at them, and I loved every second.

Only You completely pulled me in. From the very first chapter, I felt for Neeranjana—Neera—this rebel heiress who’s strong, smart, and yet heartbreakingly vulnerable. Her journey from being shattered to finding herself again is honestly inspiring. And then there’s Samar, the prince who isn’t just charming on the outside, but has this deep, unwavering love that makes your heart ache and hope at the same time.

I loved how the author showed both of them struggling, hurting, and trying to rebuild themselves while still being drawn to each other. The slow-burn romance, the friends-to-lovers tension, and the second-chance love… it all hit me right in the feels. There were moments that made me swoon, moments that made me tear up, and moments where I just wanted to yell at the characters because of all the obstacles in their way.

The book has it all: heartbreak, healing, family, friendship, and that royal/glamorous backdrop that makes everything feel larger than life. I really connected with Neera’s growth and Samar’s determination to fight for her, no matter the odds.

My only gripe? It’s a long read—790 pages—but honestly, the story and the emotions make it worth sticking with.

Overall, Only You is one of those romances that makes you laugh, cry, and swoon all at once. It’s perfect if you love emotional slow-burn romances, second chances, and characters who feel real, messy, and unforgettable. I genuinely enjoyed every moment of it.

I just finished Only You by Neha Chenani Khanagwal, and my heart is completely full! If you love a good second chance romance, this book is an absolute must-read. It’s got all the emotional you could ask for, with a slow burn that is so incredibly worth the wait.

The story follows two childhood sweethearts who are given another chance at love years after a painful separation. I was immediately pulled into their world, and I felt every bit of their history, their unresolved emotions, and the incredible tension between them. Neha Chenani Khanagwal is a master at building that kind of palpable chemistry. She doesn't rush anything instead, she lets the characters and their relationship grow, making every small moment of reconnection feel truly earned and incredibly satisfying.

What I loved most was how real the characters felt. They weren't perfect they had baggage, doubts, and past wounds that made their journey to each other so much more powerful. I found myself rooting for them on every page. This book is a beautiful reminder that some loves are meant to be, and that sometimes, a second chance is exactly what's needed to find your way back home.

If you’re looking for a romance that will make you feel all the feels and leave you with a happy, hopeful heart, you need to pick up Only You. It’s a definite five star read for me!

A stunning slow-burning romance, Only You is an emotional rollercoaster that combines tragedy, redemption, and royal intrigue. You can't help but admire Neeranjana Bajaj, the feisty heiress who has recovered from life-altering grief. Her development from a bright-eyed idealist to a shrewd, uncompromising businesswoman is shown with authenticity and nuance. A tempest of unresolved emotions is sparked by the homecoming of Samar Singh Rathore, the prince who stands opposite her and is caught between duty and passion.

The intense chemistry between Neera and Samar, which is equal parts sweet and tumultuous, is what makes this book so memorable. Anger, desire, and the type of grovel-worthy redemptive arc romance that readers like abound in their narrative.Lyrical passages, stirring conversations, and heartbreaking moments that make your heart skip a beat are all abundant in the literature.

Only You is incredibly fulfilling, intense, and incredibly human, making it ideal for lovers of forbidden attraction, second-chance love, and royals who would sacrifice all for love.

This book is so good it literally kept me hooked from the first page itself. It is probably one of the longest book I have ever read, but still it so engaging and fast paced that you won't feel it at all. The chemistry and the slow burn between Neera and Samar was absolutely perfect, I absolutely loved them.

The book follows the story of Neera and Samar who fell in love during their college times when they were young and innocent but due to some misunderstandings between their families they break apart, years later they meet again and get a second chance at love. Their story is not your usual rom-com it's messy, complicated and definitely heartbreaking but in the end they do find their HEA after going through a lots of ups and downs.

One of my most favourite thing about this book was definitely the friendship and the siblings bond. They were definitely the highlight of this book. I loved how they always protected and stood by each other no matter what happened.

Also I loved the poems at the beginning of each chapter they were so unique and good.

Overall I loved this book. If you love reading heart breaking second chance romances which will emotionally wreck you but will also heal you at the same time then this is the perfect book for you.

Only You is a deeply emotional and gripping story about Neera, a strong-willed and determined woman whose life is shaped by love, family, and betrayal. She shares an unbreakable bond with her brother and her best friend Ryan, yet life throws challenges her way that she never anticipated whether it’s protecting the people she cares about or navigating complicated relationships. Things get even more complicated when Samar enters the picture, a man who is deeply in love with her, bringing both intensity and turbulence. Neera must face secrets, misunderstandings, and family politics, all while trying to find her own path and safeguard her heart. The story beautifully explores love, loyalty, grief, and resilience, showing how past wounds and hidden truths can influence the choices we make and the connections we cherish.

As I read, I felt completely drawn into Neera’s world. Her fears, struggles, and heartbreak were so vivid that I couldn’t help but feel them alongside her. I laughed, I cried, and at times my heart raced for her, especially as she confronted betrayal, loss, and family complications. The relationship between Neera and Ryan was heartwarming but tinged with pain, and Samar’s unwavering love added a layer of intensity that kept me turning the pages. Every emotion felt genuine, and I couldn’t help but connect deeply with her journey.

What stayed with me long after finishing Only You was the way it portrayed strength and the power of love. Neera’s story is a reminder of the courage it takes to overcome heartbreak, the importance of trusting again, and the value of holding on to the people who truly matter. This isn’t just a tale of love and family it’s a journey of personal growth, healing, and understanding that some loves, no matter how complicated, leave a lasting mark. After reading it, I felt moved, reflective, and completely immersed in Neera’s world. This is a book that stays with you long after the final page.

Sometimes, you come upon stories that touch your very soul, wherein you live those characters. This is one such heartfelt story.

Prince Samar and Neera, an heiress, meet in the most fairytale-like way, only for Neera to pull a Cinderella on him. Later, they cross paths again in their MBA college, where they form a fun gang called the Devil’s Angels with Nishi and Kanika: Samar the devil, the 3 girls, his angels. Over time, Samar and Neera fall in love, only to brutally part ways with one painful incident. How they get back together, their trials, their pain and suffering, their redemption and ultimately their unconditional love is what makes this story unputdownable.

Samar, handsome, royal, and a charmer, is a definition of a GREEN flag. His love for Neera knows no bounds, literally. Like the things he does and the lengths he goes to win over Neera are pure 😘. Yes, he made a mistake. But he also redeemed himself in the most swoony way, never ever once leaving Neera, even when she keeps pushing him away, and with love n support, heals her back to her former self.

And Neera! Sassy n sensitive, I feel for this girl. She makes true the saying, that when you love harder, you break harder too. Her journey through her pain and suffering after Samar left is devastating, highlighting how mental health can affect a person in the most intimate and basic way. The story is so sensitively handled and watching her slowly find her way back to being her bubbly, mischievous and confident self is so damn inspiring. Also, i love the fact that she's no pushover. This time she doesn't give in until she's absolutely sure that he is here to stay.

The narrative moves between past and present so seamlessly that you get immersed in their world without even realising it. This is not an easy story to tell, but Neha has penned this complex yet sweetest love story with amazing flair, emotion & humour. Kudos 🙌.

And the side characters! Wow. Rishabh, Nishi, Abhishek, Kanika are super se upar, and reading about them is so nostalgic. And the parallel love stories of Aarav & Sneha and Ryan & Anandi are a hoot, so damn funny. Also, am so intrigued by Manan, Neera’s brother and can’t wait for his story.

If you love stories that push your emotions to the hilt, making you cry at one instance and laugh like a maniac the next, this one is your jam. An absolute must-read.

PS. - A special mention for the beautiful quotes at the start of each chapter. They truly enrich the reading experience. 😍👌

Reading Only you has been an enamoured experience- the one where your heart races, breaks and is put together back again. That feeling when your heart is in pain yet it heals by the object of that very pain itself-That's the sweet healing vibe Only you by Neha chenani khanagwal signifies.

The story follows Neeranjana bajaj aka Neera and Samar singh rathore. Neera's family excels in hotel business across the country, and their recent contract has them introduce to royal family of jodhpur for business. A masquerade ball. A dance. Chance encounter with a stranger that turns out to be the second prince of royal family. Everything is magical until Neera has to practically run out,Without giving her name Or revealing face . Becoming samar's mystery Cinderella without a slipper ;)

Both never thought they'll meet again yet fate had other plans. When Neera enters a college for Mba,she comes face to face with Samar, the very prince she flee away from on that fateful night! Sparks fly, promises are exchange only to be shattered brutally later on. What happened that prankster Neera has become cold and withdrawn while Samar is left broken?

Only you is a beautiful story about love; it's strength of healing and overcoming your heart break. Neera and Samar's love stays strong even after breaking them apart. I loved the friendship between nishi, kanika, Neera and samar along with other characters Arav, Rishabh, Sneha, Abhishek and Ryan , Anandi. I especially appreciated how calm Samar was throughout, along with Ryan's personality! I thought he'll create more mess between neera and Samar, yet it turns out opposite ! I am officially a fan of Manan 😌( neera's brother) Seeing him care so much for Neera was Lovely to see.

Writing is elegant with a touch of humor, lyrical verses here and there, giving the read more depth. Neera's character is strong, tbh first fmc I've come across that's such a prankster! While Samar's a sunshine, he's understanding, charming and we can't help fall for him!
Overall, Words fell short to describe this story. It's got everything- Banter, yearning, heartbreak, love, friendship, siblings bonds and Healing. At times I could feel the heartbreak myself, what Samar and Neera went through, yet strength their love and friends provided is something inspiring.

If you love a story with a strong yet vulnerable fmc, understanding mmc, found family, Siblings bond and a love that overcomes everything, then this is a must read!

We’ve all read countless quotes about love — “Love is not easy,” “Love is life,” “Cupid’s arrow,” and so many more. But it all feels different when we truly experience it. They say first love is unforgettable, but I believe it's true love that is unforgettable. And this is exactly what Neha beautifully brings alive in this book.

Samar and Neera’s story is the perfect example of a love that feels real, raw, and everlasting. Their very first meeting — just a fleeting moment between two strangers — leaves an impression so deep that it stays etched forever. From there begins a journey filled with swoon-worthy moments that make you smile, sigh, and sometimes ache for them.

But love isn’t always beautiful, there are thorns too. Circumstances, fate, and actions driven by ego and hurt all come together to make the beautiful journey of lovers painfully difficult. The transitions between past and present are seamless, pulling you right into the story as though you’re watching it unfold in front of your eyes.
The college life portions of the book are crafted so vividly that you feel transported back to those days — management college, hostel nights, seniors vs juniors, campus clashes, blossoming friendships, secret meetings at lovers’ points, and those little moments of young love. The characters feel so real and relatable that you can’t help but recall your own college memories while reading.

And then, life happens… Neera faces a heartbreak so brutal that it makes you pause and feel every ounce of her pain. The way Neha balances romance, tragedy, and drama is simply brilliant — never rushed, always heartfelt.

I usually run away from lengthy books, but this one kept me hooked till the very last page. Every character leaves a mark — the friendships and sibling bonds are beautifully woven. The book is written with such passion and involvement, capturing even the smallest details and never once rushing the story.

The hardships, the sacrifices, the longing… everything builds up to those three powerful words: I Love 'Only You.'

I just finished reading this book and couldn’t wait to pen down my thoughts. Only You is not just a love story — it’s a saga.

“𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗿𝘆 𝗮𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗱”

This is the longest book I've ever read! And reading Only You felt like stepping into a whirlwind of emotions I wasn’t ready for but desperately needed. This is not a light, breezy romance — it’s heavy, consuming, and written in a way that makes you sit with every ounce of pain and every flicker of tenderness.

The beauty of this story lies in how raw and unpolished it feels. The author doesn’t dress up her characters to look perfect. They’re broken in ways that make them real so stubborn, vulnerable, and not fictional but alive. Love in this story is messy, complicated, and it's more beautiful for it.The pacing is deliberate. It’s slow, yes, but in that slow burn lies the magic — the longing, the push and pull, the scenes that scream louder than words. By the time the chemistry catches fire, you’re already too invested to let go.

Another thing that stood out was how layered the world felt. The friendships, the family ties, the unspoken expectations all of them added something to the romance instead of distracting from it. Love here isn’t just about two people; it’s about everything that surrounds them, everything they have to fight through to choose each other. And the writing? Gorgeous. Emotional without being overwhelming, lyrical without being distant. Some passages felt like secrets, like little truths whispered straight into your ear. This book made me feel so much pain, warmth, and hope. At one point, I had to pause just to breathe, because the emotions didn’t let me race ahead. And I think that’s the beauty of it "Only You" forces you to feel instead of just skim.

If you’re someone who loves second chances, who craves intensity in romance, and who believes love can survive storms, then this book is one you’ll keep close to your heart, It’s heartfelt, raw, and unforgettable.

Only You by Neha Chenani Khanagwal:
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Only You by Neha Chenani Khanagwal is not just another romance, it’s an emotional journey that lingers long after you’ve turned the last page. Neha has woven a story that is as breathtaking as it is heart-wrenching, capturing the essence of love in its truest, rawest form love that breaks you, heals you, and teaches you to believe again.
What makes this book stand apart is not just the swoon-worthy romance between Neeranjana and Samar but the way it beautifully portrays mental health struggles that most of us often brush aside. Through Neera’s journey of heartbreak, pain, and rebuilding herself, Neha reminds us of the silent battles we carry within the scars, the suppressed emotions, the strength it takes to rise when the world has crushed you. It’s rare to see such a delicate yet powerful depiction of emotional healing in a romance, and the author has done it with remarkable grace.
The writing is lyrical, poetic, and deeply evocative you’ll find yourself underlining passages just to return to them again. The characters are layered, flawed, and utterly real. Samar’s fierce devotion and Neera’s quiet resilience create a dynamic that tugs at your heartstrings and makes you root for them with every page.
This isn’t just a love story, it’s a story of rediscovering yourself, of second chances, and of finding the courage to love despite the fear of breaking all over again.
Neha Chenani Khanagwal deserves every bit of praise for giving us a book that is not only romantic but also healing. Only You is a reminder that love when it’s true can survive storms, time, and even the deepest scars.
A must-read for anyone who loves romance with depth, angst, and the promise of hope. 💖

It was love at first sight… but this book isn’t about first love—it’s about the only love.

“Only You” isn’t just a romance; it’s an experience that grabs your heart, breaks it, and then carefully puts every piece back together. I went in expecting a cozy, soft royal love story (I mean, have you seen that cover? So warm and comfy!), but what I got was something so much deeper.

Neeranjana Bajaj — my girl. She’s strong, fierce, and so heartbreakingly human. The way the author portrayed her pain, her healing, her transformation from a fairytale believer to a woman who runs boardrooms like battlefields — it left me speechless. Every emotion she felt, I felt it too.

And then there’s Samar Singh Rathore — the prince who’d burn his crown for love, who left his surname and title for his love. I loved his vulnerability, his regret, his madness for Neera. But oh, his family! 😤 Especially Rani Sa — I hated her with every bit of my soul. She’s the perfect example of how royalty can be rotten beneath all that grace. Like please, woman, you’ve lived your life to the fullest — let Neera and Samar breathe in peace!

What made this story even more special was the friendship between Kanika, Nishi, and Neera. Their bond felt so real and grounding amidst all the chaos — that kind of friendship that silently holds you when you’re about to break. Every bond, every relation in this book was lovely, real and so beautiful 🫶🥺

This book is raw, emotional, and utterly unforgettable. It’s about love, loss, healing, and rediscovering yourself when life tears you apart. Every page hurt in the best way possible, and by the end, I didn’t know whether to cry, smile, or just hug the book.

⭐ 5/5 — because sometimes words aren’t enough.

Where do I even begin? Only You swept me away on an emotional whirlwind. From page one, I was completely drawn in. Neeranjana “Neera” felt alive a fierce, intelligent woman who’s been broken but refuses to stay down. She’s brave, messy, and heartbreakingly human. That’s exactly what made her so easy to connect with. 💔✨

And Samar… oh, Samar 😭❤️. The royal heartthrob with quiet strength and endless love. He’s the kind of man who doesn’t just make promises he proves them. His devotion to Neera, even through all the pain and distance, melted my heart more than once. Their connection? Pure magic. 🔥

What truly stood out to me was the slow burn of their relationship the push and pull, the heartbreak, the rekindled love. It never felt forced. Instead, it unfolded naturally, full of emotion and depth. The author beautifully captured their struggles, their self-discovery, and that rare kind of love that survives every storm.

The royal Indian setting gave the story an extra sparkle grand palaces, glittering parties, and deep-rooted traditions balanced by real, raw emotion. It’s not just a love story; it’s also about friendship, family ties, forgiveness, and learning to love yourself again. 🌺

Sure, it’s a long read (almost 800 pages 😅), and a few parts could’ve been trimmed. But honestly? I didn’t want to leave their world. Every chapter pulled me in deeper.

💭 In the end:
Only You isn’t your usual romance. It’s emotional, passionate, and steeped in Indian culture and charm. It made me smile, tear up, and believe in love that endures no matter what. If you’re into slow-burn, second-chance romances with heart and depth this one’s a gem.

💞 A story of heartbreak, healing, and holding on, Only You will stay in your heart long after you turn the last page. 💫

This book is something that takes us into the journey of the invincible power of love and its hidden impact on the lives of humans. Love can make everything beautiful over anything and can also be snatched away within the blink of our eyes.

The book revolved around the beautiful love story of Neera and Samar. Neera's life was quite pampered, and she always had to be under the surveillance of her brother and father. One day, she went with her brother to a place, and there she got fascinated by seeing Samar. Gradually, she started falling for him. After some time, they both found themselves falling for each other and they became a thing of love, passion and desire making their own world. Something tragic came into their way, and both were bound to get separated from each other.

This is more than a love story, however, a story of personal loss, heartbreak, and the strength to stand facing emotional crises. Even after I completed reading this story, the echoes of the heartbreak still reverberate in my ears.

The alternative love stories of Ryan and Anandi; and Aarav and Sneha are beautifully described with ornamented style and further enhance the quality of the book. The major themes of this book include the idea of family bonding, losing closest ones, restrictions faced by women, love, heartbreaks, healing, sassy class, and strength.

The literary style is quite lucid and simple yet powerful in the sense that it makes the readers feel the pain of a tragic love story. A must-read book for those who love to read and feel more stories about love, loss, and pain. Reading this book is a wonderful and impactful experience for me.

Only You by Neha Chenani Khanagwal – A Raw Love Story Woven with Indian Elegance

Review:
Only You by Neha Chenani Khanagwal is not your everyday romance—it’s a raw, emotional love story wrapped in the shimmering folds of Indian royal charm and high-society sophistication. The book gracefully blends passion with power, love with legacy, and heart with heritage.

At its core, it’s a familiar tale — boy meets girl, love blooms, fate intervenes, and life pulls them apart — yet what makes it stand out is the Indian touch. The royal backdrop, business boardrooms, and cultural undertones give it a flavor that’s both glamorous and deeply rooted.

Neha Chenani Khanagwal’s writing style is expressive and immersive, with well-crafted dialogues and emotions that flow naturally. The story unfolds slowly, giving readers a chance to sink into the characters’ world. Though a few parts could have been trimmed to maintain pace, the emotional depth and elegance of presentation make it worth the read.

Even for readers who aren’t usually drawn to romance (like me), Only You strikes a chord. It’s heartwarming, rich in detail, and carries a sense of authenticity that reflects modern India’s evolving relationships — set against tradition, luxury, and ambition.

Verdict: A heartwarming second-chance romance that balances emotional vulnerability with the grandeur of Indian high society.

You know some stories just stay with you? Only You is one of them.
It made me smile, cry and somewhere in between it broke my heart a little too.

Neera and Samar’s story felt so real not dreamy or filmy but the kind that happens in real life… full of love, pain, misunderstandings and that one hope that maybe somehow things can still heal.

Neera’s pain actually got to me. The way she carried herself after everything the silence, the strength it felt like I was reading about someone I know. And Samar… his guilt, his effort to fix the misunderstandings honestly touched me.

OMG! I actually appreciate the side characters Nishi, Kanika, Arav, and Ryan! They brought such warmth and heart to the story. The way they stood by each other through everything just made me smile & feel safe. Those tiny cute poems at the start of every chapter?? So beautiful and unique they gave the story a totally different vibe! 💕✨

What I loved most is that nothing felt forced. The emotions, the friendship, the family part all just flowed naturally. The writing is simple but deep, and that’s what makes it hit harder.

It’s honestly not just a love story. It’s about losing of yourself, breaking down and then slowly finding way back with love, forgiveness and with all the courage your heart can hold.

If you enjoy those slow, emotional stories that actually make you feel happiness, pain, hope then Only You is definitely your kind of book
Beautiful. Heart-hurting. Healing.

💔✨ Some stories don’t need big words they just need truth. And this one has plenty of it.

Some stories are bound to stay with you for many reasons, and 'Only You' is one such story that stays with you for its raw emotions. The characters, the plot, the depth, and the struggles.

The way it started and ended, uffff it took my heart. His Highness and Ms. Bajaj literally got me on their little fingers. They are just how couples should be. They had the best days of their life in college. But... but... but... it was not that easy, though the college days were the most amazing once, their separation was the most heartbreaking part. I cried for Samar; his dedication to his love was unimaginable. Uffff how can a Highness be this cute and down to earth?

Yes, Neera also had her share of struggles; she was left alone to fight for herself and her family, and in the process, the happy-go-lucky Neera was left behind. She lost her bublines and funny bone. This Neera lives for her brother and the business. She lost her smile in the process of finding answers.

What great writing! Amazing chemistry, deep plot, and characterizations are on par. Every single character has played an important role. Rishabh, Abhishek, Nishi, Kanika, Sneha, Aarav, Ryan, Anadi, and Manan, all these characters became that chain that binds the flow of the story to a perfect pace and makes it stand out.

There was not a single page where I felt I needed to skip. Word by word the story took me within as if I were witnessing it live. Kudos to the author for this brilliant story.

Only You by Neha Chenani Khanagwal is a book full of emotions a beautiful rollercoaster ride that makes you smile, blush, and fall in love all at once. I enjoyed every single page from their college days and funny banters to their wild dares and sweet moments. I absolutely adored how Samar took an oath to do anything just to win over his Neera. And Neera, the fierce girl who grew up surrounded by silence, secrets, and forbidden freedom, steps into her own light through adventures with Samar. Their love story is utterly captivating cute, beautiful, and downright hilarious!

And oh, Samar! This man is something else the trickiest of them all! He could probably outsmart every person on Earth just to get back to his fiercest girl. The author not only makes it an enjoyable read but also raises the bar of romance and charm 😉, leaving you wanting more of Samar.

The story also touches deep emotions for those who’ve faced depression. The explanations and therapy scenes feel so real, showing what it’s like when someone is emotionally struggling. I loved how Samar took care of Neera through every single therapy session it was heartwarming.

And let’s not forget Mañan, Rish, Abhi, Kanu, and Nishi the best little cupids and amazing friends anyone could ask for! Every character had their own sparkle. The poems added a lovely touch too.

A happy-ending story that leaves your heart full and your standards high! 💖✨

It's not a love story like fairy tale although he was a prince, ready to burn his thorn only to get her princess back in his life.

Trauma
Panic Attacks
Separation
Death
Misunderstanding
Emotional Reunion
Hidden Identity

Neera, daughter of Bajaj Group, kept hidden from the world due to some circumstances. A sunshine girl who loves to live her life to the fullest. Samar, a royal bloodline, living his life under hidden Identity. There path crosses when they both meet in college and fell in love with each other. Everything seems so magical but they didn't knew fate has other plans for them.

One day at a event of both families misunderstanding happen between the couple and they both goes to there own path. Life took a really tragical turn for Neera, she lost everything in a single day and the one whom she loved was not on her side.

Years later when Samar again crosses path with Neera he found her lifeless. All her spark were dulled in these past years. She was broken into pieces turned into a total stranger unlike the Neera full of life , now she is Neeranjana Bajaj. Samar heart broke when he found her love in that condition. This time he chose her and to heal her. It was hard but he didn't left her alone until he got her eyes sparkling again 💖

An emotional heartbreaking read for sure. Loved the characters and the way they are written & expressed.
It was a bit lengthy but it's totally worth your time ❤️

Loved it 🍁

This is a second chance Romance and this is the second chance Romance at its best. I love each and every page of it 💓

Although it is lengthy and I never felt it's too much, in fact it's too little. One thing is, this book is so engaging that you will not find one single boring page that you want to skip. The connection between the main leads, the friendship, the bonds they carry and everything was so beautifully written that you do not want to miss a page. You know you actually don't even want to end the book because this is so good that you feel like you should keep reading it 😉

I actually like this so much the first half of the book, you know, college students and all that, this phase of the book was super cute I was up for it and then the break up happened, usually when couples break up in books I don't really like it but this felt right, It's not like I want them to break up or something like that but you know the reason was proper, And I know they will be getting together later so... I understand the break up, the situation and the consequences made them fall apart and I am okay for the first time 😭

The second half of the book was amazing it's so intense so emotional so romantic and so so beautiful the connection they built, the chemistry🤌🏻 oh!! and the office Romance 💒 every single bit of this book is amazing. I read a loot of books and this book has all my favourite troupes.

"Only You" by Neha Chenani Khanagwal is a beautifully crafted novel that will capture your heart and leave you feeling all the feels. The story follows Neeranjana "Neera" Bajaj and Samar Singh Rathore, two young souls who find love in the unlikeliest of circumstances.

Their journey begins at a masquerade ball, where Neera and Samar lock eyes across the room. Despite being from different worlds, they can't deny the chemistry between them. As fate would have it, they're reunited in college, and their feelings for each other are rekindled.

Through Neera and Samar's story, Khanagwal explores the complexities of love, heartbreak, and healing. Their relationship is put to the test, but their love for each other proves to be a powerful force. The supporting characters, including Nishi, Kanika, Arav, and Ryan, add depth and warmth to the story.

Khanagwal's writing is raw, emotional, and authentic, making it easy to become invested in Neera and Samar's story.
The novel is set against the backdrop of Indian high society, with vivid descriptions of royal palaces, cultural traditions, and family dynamics.

"Only You" is a must-read for fans of second-chance romances, slow-burn love stories, and cultural fiction. This book is perfect for anyone looking for a heartwarming, emotional read that will leave them feeling hopeful and uplifted.

When I first picked up Only You and saw it had 750+ pages, I honestly thought—how am I ever going to finish this? But two days later, I was done. The story just pulled me in from the very first chapters.

Neera and Samar’s journey felt so personal, like I’d known them for years. Their college life, the friendships, the teasing, the little moments of falling in love—it all felt warm and real. But then life happened. A twist, a misunderstanding, and suddenly, everything shattered. I kept wondering, how could something so pure break like that?

When the truth came out, my heart broke for both of them. Neera’s pain, Samar’s regret—everything was written with so much depth and emotion. Watching Samar fight to win her back, seeing their friends and family rally behind him—it was beautiful and heartbreaking at once.

Neha Chenani Kanagwal’s writing is effortless and full of heart. She doesn’t just tell a story; she makes you feel it. Even though it’s a long book, it never drags. Every emotion, every twist, every word matters.

By the end, I felt like I had lived their story with them. Only You isn’t just a love story—it’s about growing, forgiving, and finding your way back to love. ❤️

If you love emotional, slow-burn romance with friendship, heartbreak, and healing—this one is absolutely worth every page.

Sometimes life takes us to unknown journey – we don't know destination but it turns out as most beautiful journey. 💙

Sameer and Neera both are were meant for eachother and the journey of fate has brought them together. The journey wasn't easy but it's beautiful. They quarreled, they laughed, they cried, they laughed, they got seperated but ultimately they are always meant for eachother. While I was unfolding their journey turning pages I felt a deep scene of realistic and beautiful vibe. No drama no exaggeration, just a raw, beautiful journey of two people who have crossed hurdles together.

No doubt the book is long. It's my longest book till now. But what attracts me is I never felt boredom reading the book. If the story is beautiful, plot is interesting, narrative style is enjoyable then no matter how long the book is,it can never be boring.
This book is perfect example of that.

If you love the above mentioned tropes then try this for sure. You won't be disappointed. I love the realistic portrayal of the characters. Neera is a strong, independent girl but soft inside. Sameer is a sunshine guy. He is royal heir. Inspite that he is really amazing person. He understood his mistake. Their bond is really beautiful. The chemistry is always there. I love reading their story.

✨ I just wrapped up "Only You" and what a journey! Uff, 700+ pages of straight feelings, heartbreak, and slow burn tension. 😭🔥

This isn't first love; it's only love; the love that breaks you, helps you rebuild, and encourages you to feel again.

Neeranjana Bajaj - the rebel heiress, adored daughter, and protective sister. She used to believe in tales... until fate ripped apart her dreams and forced her to rebuild as a merciless business queen who allowed her heart to feel nothing but pain... but beneath every scar, her heart still beats for him. ❤️

Samar Singh Rathore - the youngest prince of Jodhpur, restricted by virtue and duties, until he saw her masquerade night. Neera was fire, laughter, and freedom - he still finds his escape in her. She was never just a girl; she was the girl.

Destiny my lad, tore them apart, but he's back and ready to bleed, to beg, and fight for her all over again.

This is a love story but it's about heartbreaking moments, healing, friendship, family, redemption, and finding the courage to get back up again.

If you love forbidden royal romance, slow burn, second chances, billionaire angst, and a prince who will risk it all for love - you have to read this one.
