Tristan Stone is off limits.

It doesn’t matter that the grumpy, single dad did nothing wrong. He’s a cowboy and his last name means I’m bound by blood to hate him. My family would never be okay with me having feelings for our enemy.

When he stops—in the pouring rain—because I have a flat tire, the last thing I expect is for him to help me.

I do my best to ignore the water sliding off his hat and how he fills out those jeans. My best, however, is not good enough. Each night I close my eyes and dream of a future we can never have. And after he defends me at the bar and we share a magical dance? It only gets worse.

I know I should forget about him, but when I find him alone one night, I offer up a no-strings attached relationship that we both promise to keep secret. Sidelong glances across property lines morph into clandestine meetings under the stars wrapped up in each other’s arms.

Never mind that our families will never approve or that he told me he can never love again, I crave him.

Soon our no feelings agreement is in tatters, and my heart belongs to that broken cowboy. Will he break it or will he defy them all and choose us instead?

💖💖💖Corinne Michaels has absolutely blown me away with this book!
This was an EASY 6 STAR READ!!!!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The banter is hands down some of the best she’s ever written. I literally could not put this book down without being annoyed that real life and adult responsibilities existed 😂

This small town romance delivered everything we love about the genre the town gossip line was working overtime ☎️but the tension and angst had me completely hooked from beginning to end! I was giddy the ENTIRE TIME 👏🏼

As soon as I started I literally couldn’t put it down. Truly beautiful. I loved this book from start to finish. Lark and Tristan had perfect chemistry. Even though they are meant to hate each other and their family rivalry runs deep, the attraction and the tension between them was undeniable.

I think this was the most well rounded story I’ve read from Corinne. It had fun light moments, steamy intense ones, and was really emotional too. This is exactly how you write forbidden romance.

I can’t wait for everyone to experience Heartstone Ranch on June 16th! I’m so excited for what’s to come in the series.

3.5 🌟 really sweet small town western romance. Sadie was absolutely one of my favorite characters. There were certain moments where I didn’t like our MMC but then moments I really loved him. Wish we had a little more relationship building and REALLY wish we had a resolution on who is messing with her families farm. Without that part, the story just felt unfinished to me. But still enjoyed the book overall and will absolutely pick up more from this author!

I am so excited for this new town that we are visiting because I can already tell I’m going to fall in love with every single one of these stories. Corinne Michaels knows how to create a small town that immediately feels like home, and I’m already invested in everyone.

The fact that this romance is between two people whose families are neighbors and rivals? Absolutely everything to me. The sneaking around, the tension, the history between the families… it was so good. I was eating up every single interaction between them.

And Sadie? She completely stole the show for me. The way she added so much heart and softness to the story made me adore this book even more.

There’s also a deeper layer of grief woven throughout the story for both main characters, and I really loved watching them work through those emotions together. It made their connection feel even more meaningful and sweet.

This was such a strong start to a new series, and now I desperately need everyone else’s books immediately.

Buckle up, Buttercup 🤠 (no spoilers)

Any book that can make me feel deeply is instantly a 5⭐️ read….but when the book makes you tear up multiple times, has you 🥵(tastefully and not overdone), and can make you laugh? Infinite stars!!! And this book right here is exactly that!

Hands down my absolute favorite Corrine Michaels book! ⭐️

This book follows Tristan and Lark…any feelings between them is absolutely forbidden! Their families have feuded for years—think Romeo and Juliet 🥀

Tristan is a single dad to the cutest (and sassiest) little girl. Her love for horses and bougie chicken coops (IYKYK) had me instantly loving her!

Lark has a big heart and is not like the rest of her family! She gets stranded in a rainstorm and a stranger (not so stranger 🤭) helps her…. And the rest just gets better and better!! It’ll have you ready to visit Infinity Ridge ASAP 🌄

🤍Enemies-to-lovers
🩵Cowboy/Cowgirl
🤍Forbidden
🩵Single Dad
🤍Grumpy/Sunshine

“You should be with a man who would swim through a flood to get to you.”

“Lark tastes like sunshine and fresh air”

Thank you Corinne and your team for this amazing ARC opportunity! I am forever grateful 🫶🏼

4.5 ⭐️ rounded up; 3 🌶️🌶️🌶️

Thank you to Team Corinne Michaels and Corinne Michaels for #gifted ALC 💞

If I’m being completely honest, it was the cover that initially grabbed my attention before I even knew what this book was about. I love it. That being said, this book surpassed my expectations. To me, this book felt different than your run-of-the-mill cowboy romance in the best of ways. Characters in their 30’s, a family rivalry that is multi-layered that truly defines the enemies-to-lovers trope, and side-characters dealing with their own struggles that don’t distract from the main story.

FMC Lark grew on me as the story progressed and I LOVED MMC Tristan. Both of them had good character development that didn’t distract from the romance. No insta-love, I appreciated the slow build of their love for one another (without skimping on the spicier bits 😉 ❤️‍🔥). The author really created the most protective, ROMANTIC MMC in Tristan, and although he wasn’t perfect and was dealing with his own traumas, I love how he showed up for Lark and went out of his way to protect their relationship- he is definitely top 10 cowboy romance boyfriend FOR SURE. There are some pretty serious topics in this book, but the author did such a good job of navigating life’s heartbreaks and traumas and grief without being heavy-handed or preachy. A very realistic and heart-felt portrayal of overcoming past traumas and not letting them scare you away from opening up your heart and mind to new experiences ❤️‍🩹

I’m ALL IN on the Heartstone Ranch crew and can’t wait to read the next book in the series 🤠💜💛!

This might go down as my new favorite cowboy romance 🤭 I absolutely devoured this book from start to finish. I truly didn’t know what to expect since this was my first Corrine Michaels book but this knocked my socks off!

The absolute forbidden tension between the main two characters was off the charts! I felt every ounce of yearning between the characters.

I also felt like Lark was such a relatable FMC and that really made me latch onto her as a character! I loved her so much!

I really loved this one, it’s been a while since I’ve read a small town cowboy romance that had my heart fluttering. I really liked the forbidden aspect of Tristan and Lark’s relationship, the Hatfield and McCoy storyline was fun. Sadie was a great character as well, I feel like it’s a delicate balance and easy to make them very annoying but I felt like the language and personality fit a girl of that age. I am invested in both family storylines and I’d love to see more from them in the future.

I listed to the audio version of this book and let me tell you Conner Crais and Vanessa Vasquez did a phenomenal job! The story is read in a duet narration and I feel like it really added to the story.

If small town romances are your thing give West of Forever a try!

ALC/ARC review:

I am so beyond grateful that I was able to read this book early. What a breath of fresh air this book was! I was laughing out loud about 90% of the book. The banter is everything and I love the dynamic between all of the characters.
Lark is so cute omg! I loved getting to know her. She is so sweet, thoughtful, and so kind. But also sooooo funny.
TRISTEN?! Okayyyy sir. I know I have a thing for grumpy single dads who just happen to be cowboys mmmkay? But this man had me SQUEALING and BLUSHINGGGG. Also he is so funny because he’s not trying to be funny. Ya get what I’m sayin?
Anyways. 5 stars. No notes. I finished this book literally 10 minutes ago and I want to read it again already.

Rival ranching families, secret relationship, small town tension, AND a broody single dad cowboy??? Corinne really said “let’s see how fast Chelsea loses her mind” and honestly… it wasn’t long at all.

Tristan Stone is carrying so much grief and responsibility on his shoulders that you can physically feel the weight of it while reading. Between raising Sadie, trying to hold the ranch together, and convincing himself he doesn’t deserve love again, this man had me deep in my feelings.

And then there’s Lark, who comes in with this fire to her. She’s stubborn, capable, strong willed, and refuses to let her family’s hatred fully dictate her life even when it would be easier to just fall in line.

The chemistry between these two?? Absolutely filthy in the best way. Every stolen glance, every secret meeting, every moment where they KNOW they shouldn’t be together only made me root for them harder. Their families hate each other so much that every interaction felt like playing with a lit match near dry grass and I ate up every single second of it.

Sadie completely owned a piece of my heart too. She added so much warmth and emotional weight to the story, and every scene with her felt incredibly genuine. Corinne always has this way of making her characters feel like real people with lives, pain, humor, and relationships that exist beyond just the romance itself.

With that being said…I especially loved Dad/Father/Pop/Granddad… a man with approximately 47 different names and somehow the same level of chaos attached to every single one 😭

That man was an absolute menace in the best way possible. Every scene with him had me cracking up because you genuinely never knew what he was getting into or what was about to come out of his mouth. He brought so much humor and life into the story while still feeling like the kind of stubborn ranch patriarch who keeps the whole family orbiting around him whether they like it or not. Honestly, he almost stole the entire book for me a few times 💀

Corinne Michaels truly knows how to write romances that feel both swoony and emotionally heavy at the same time. I finished this already desperate for the next book because these families are MESSY and I need answers immediately!!

Thank you so much to Sourcebooks Casablanca, NetGalley, and Corinne Michaels for this e-ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Oh my gosh!! Tristan & Lark!! This might be my new fave by Corinne! I was so obsessed with these two!

First of all the audio with Connor Crais & Vanessa Vasquez was fantastic! These two brought all the emotion, humor, and just feel good vibes!

This story sucked me in and didn’t let go! It’s not secret I love a single dad romance, but add in some cowboy vibes, & family rivals! Yesss. The added forbidden factor made this one even better! Tristan Stone is a top tier MMC & Lark is just such a lovable strong willed character that I looooved!

This one gave all the tension, angst, and added emotions that made me fall so hard for these characters & their story! The meddling town & gossip made this one a little messy, but oh so fun! An absolute must add to your TBR & I need more from this series NOW! 🤭💜

Thank you Corinne & team for this early listening copy!!

Book 1 in The Heartstone Ranch Series
Rating: 5⭐️
Spice: 1.5-2🌶️

How many times did I tear up during this one?! I genuinely lost count because WOW! Corinne absolutely did it again and delivered the perfect mix of fun, flirty banter, heartbreak, and those achingly beautiful moments.

From the very beginning, it was impossible not to feel the chemistry simmering between Lark and Tristan, and the second they decided to test the waters between them, I was completely invested! Their secret moments together felt straight out of a movie and had me kicking my feet and smiling so freakin big.

Tristan absolutely stole my heart. A cowboy who has already lost so much and has convinced himself he may never be able to love again? UGH. Watching him slowly allow himself to open up and let someone in had me feeling every single emotion. I adored Lark! She’s confident, fierce, strongwilled, and her inner dialogue had me laughing out loud so many times.

The family rivalry had me cracking up tbh, but seeing how everything unfolded and the way everyone eventually came together left my heart so incredibly full. Also, love grandad and Sadie!!

PLEASE do not skip the epilogues and bonus scenes because they are EVERYTHING. I repeat: EVERYTHING!!

If you’re ready for your next enemies to lovers (with benefits) romance with a sexy single dad, a badass cowgirl, tension for days, and all the feels, make sure West of Forever is on your TBR for 6.16!

Short Review: Tristan Stone can call me a good girl ANY day of the week. 🥵

Real Review:
I stayed up past midnight last night because I literally couldn’t stop devouring the West of Forever audiobook. I finished it and now I don’t know what to do with myself! This was my first book by Corinne Michaels and I’m kicking myself for waiting this long!

“Lark is sunshine and smiles and happiness. She’s the lifeline when I’m drowning and the starlight when it’s dark. Her brightness has eliminated all the emptiness that lived inside me.”

Tristan Stone was EVERYTHING. Absolutely everything. 🥹🫶🏼🤭✨ My heart was all in on him right away. This man lost the love of his life and then had to watch his daughter get hurt. His heart is guarded but the one woman he absolutely shouldn’t want, smashes straight into his walls and leaves him yearning. Lark is literally a gem. She sees the light in the world and tries to open everyone’s eyes around her to it. I loved her so much!

“I fell in love with you on this ridge, beneath the stars as we stared off to the west of a forever that could never be ours.”

The mutual yearning y’all, it’s so predominant in this story it deserves its own paragraph in this review. These two want each other so flipping deeply. The odds were stacked against them and still, they couldn’t stop seeking each other out.

“I want to look, to memorize every curve, every muscle, every dip and valley. I want to kiss every inch of you.”

What happens at the ridge most definitely falls into the feral claiming category! Tristan Stone, y’all. This man’s mouth. 😮‍💨❤️‍🔥 He is a fantastic MMC and falling in love with him was so easy.

“Well, that was once,” I say, a little smug. “You think you can go for two?” she asks, a smile on her lips.
“Oh, I know I can.”

I can’t wait to head back to Heartstone Ranch in October for Never Been Tamed! 🤭💖 Now excuse while I go read Corinne Michaels’ entire backlist while I wait!

🎧 PS: This audiobook is narrated by Connor Crais & Vanessa Vasquez and OMGGGGGG. They perfectly captured the yearning, heat and every single piece of the dynamic between Tristan & Lark and gave it a voice! 100/10✨ Will recommend from now until eternity. 🫶🏼

I ended up liking this one more than I thought I would. I went into this book blind, and had never read a book by this author before but had heard good things about past books of hers. So when I saw she was writing a cowboy romance I had to request it from NetGalley.

At first, I just thought this was going to be another spicy, fluffy, silly cowboy romance book and honestly I was ok with that. But what I didn’t expect was there to be some good emotional depth and pretty well-layered characters. Lark and Tristan came from rival families who decide that regardless of their “hate” for one another, “enemies” with benefits sounds like a good idea haha. I thought the sneaking around friends with benefits vibe was so fun. And then someone kept messing with Lark’s family farm, and there was a mystery surrounding who that was throughout the whole book. Of course Tristan kept getting blamed. I thought the bonus chapter finding out who was behind all that was great, but I do wish that was in the actual book and not as a bonus read at the end.

I also loved how well Corinne wrote about more difficult themes, like grief and loss. All of these characters had been through something pretty impactful on their lives. One terrible incident of the past (which I wish we got more information about but I’m thinking it will come in future books) hurt both of these families and is also a part of their hate for the other.

I of course have to mention Sadie, Tristan’s 12 year old daughter. She is an adorable spitfire and I loved her haha.

All in all, I got more than I bargained for with this book and I’m really glad I requested it.

Alright… now how the heck am I supposed to read another book after this?! 😭

Absolute. Perfection. Where do I even start?!

Tristan is grumpy, lovable, sweet, and the king of giving out nicknames. Obsessed doesn’t even begin to cover it. I fear I would still be underselling just how much I loved this man.

Sadie is fiery, sweet, and absolutely precious. I adored every moment between her and Tristan. The way he loves her and protects her…. 🥹

Lark is strong-willed, knows exactly what she wants, and has the kindest heart, even when she’s dealing with family determined to make her attraction to Tristan difficult. Tristan & Larks chemistry/banter was everything.

And then there’s Clyde… because there is absolutely no way I can write this review without mentioning him. That stubborn old man had me laughing out loud so many times. He lives to stir the pot, and honestly? I enjoyed every second of his chaos. 😂😭

The family dynamics, the small-town charm, the banter, the friendships, the romance… every piece of this story worked. And the emotions? They hit hard. I’m not someone who cries easily, but this story got me.

This book gave me everything I wanted, although, I guess I do still want more… 🤭 but I’ll just have to impatiently wait for Never Been Tamed to come out in October (RIP). 😩

Corinne Michaels absolutely nailed every aspect of this story. The characters felt real, the relationships were beautiful, and the emotional moments landed perfectly.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ll be over here wondering if any other book will ever compare… 😂❤️

Ben & Jen ♾️ IYKYK 🤭

Narration also 1000/10

Saddle up because this book will take you on the ride of your life! This was hands down my favorite Corinne Michaels book—the characters, small town, banter, tension, and family dynamics….she truly outdid herself with this one 😮‍💨

Tristan is THAT MAN! A single dad cowboy, that is protective and caring but is equal parts grumpy….sign me up. Lark is a sassy headstrong woman that is fearless and will fight to the ends of the earth for the people she loves, you can’t help but love her 💜

The history between these two characters and their families was so captivating I couldn’t put this book down. I want to live in Infinity Ridge forever!!!

The audiobook made the reading experience go from fantastic to perfection. Connor Crais and Vanessa Vasquez embody Tristan and Lark like no one else could. It is done in duet style so you fully feel like you are living on Heartstone Ranch and it’s magical. 10/10 recommend 🤩

This story itself had a cute premise, I love a small town romance with an almost Romeo and Juliet retelling but..you know..minus the death at the end.

I did enjoy the banter at the beginning of the book, too.

With that said, I felt the characters’ dialogue was pretty juvenile, it made the story feel off for me, and affected the chemistry between the main characters.

Some of the side characters stories left me more confused.

I also felt like the author left out a major part of the story (the ‘real’ villain), perhaps it’ll be revealed in a future book in this world.

That said, I might continue this series for curiosity’s sake to see where she takes it!

Thank you, Sourcebooks Casablanca and NetGalley for this e-arc in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

This book completely stole my heart. The forbidden romance had me hooked from the very first chapter, and the chemistry between the leads was absolutely electric. Every stolen moment, every bit of tension, and every emotional scene had me completely invested.

The grumpy cowboy single dad was everything I could want in an MMC, and I fell hard for this small-town world. I honestly couldn’t put this one down. My first book by Corinne Michaels, and it definitely won’t be my last. One of my favorite reads of the year and an easy five-star read for me. I LOVED this one!!!!!

Sometimes I just need a bit of angst to up the stakes and really get invested in a couple, and let me say, the angst here was top tier. West of Forever did take me a bit to get into—I didn't immediately fall for Tristan and Lark, and I felt like their dynamics with their families and this feud to be a bit confusing. However, their secret relationship really got me intruiged, and as they started to fall for each other without wanting to fall for each other, that was when the book really started to click.

I enjoyed seeing all the moments that they spent together and felt it was a great balance of spicy, for their chemistry, but also sweet, where I could really see their emotional connection start to form. I am a sucker for a forbidden relationship, and though the family feud seemed a bit silly to me—it did succeed in playing its part in keeping them separated and introducing angst into their relationship as they tried to reconcile what they are meant to be doing with how they're truly feeling. And when the heavy doses of angst hit in the last third of the book, oh, I was fully invested. Nothing like some heartbreak, a bit of groveling, and working through fears and insecurities together to make me really fall for a couple.

I think the only part of their relationship that didn't quite work for me, and probably why I didn't connect with them straightaway, was the banter. While I could see that it was meant to be humorous, I didn't find myself laughing, and similarly to their interactions with their family, it wasn't quite what I expected (though perhaps characteristic of two families who despised each other). Though I think this was largely a personal taste and humor thing on my part—I think their flirty moments, especially once they start seeing each other, could be rather cute.

But because the family dynamics felt a bit nebulous and messy, I also didn't find myself particularly interested in any of them. There is a bit of a mystery involving Lark's brother and Tristan's sister that point to a tragic past, but we never really get any sort of answers there. Overall, I think the characters in this one were just hard for me to understand and that impacted my investment in the main relationship, because it was so tied to their family dynamics and how other characters around them would react. I did think Sadie, Tristan's daughter, was a cutie though!

If you're a huge fan of cowboy romances, I think this would be an enjoyable read, especially if you like a bit of angst in your romances and prefer your men to be groveling.

3.5/5 ⭐️
2/5 🌶️

The banter between in the mmc and fmc in the beginning was top tier and had me so intrigued! I also liked the concept that the families had been rivals for generations leaving fmc and mmc to try and work through those dynamics.

I think where I struggled was grasping the fact that these were all adults but they seemed to act super childish at times - &perhaps that was just how the dialogue came across, I’m not sure. Additionally, there was so much invested around the fact that the Stone’s were causing damage to the Gatlin’s farm but that issue kind of went by the wayside towards the middle & end, & wasn’t explained until the epilogue. Like, did the cops just decide to not investigate anymore?…

But look, it was cute, and if you’re looking for a spicy cowboy romance this could be for you. I may not continue the series but I will 100% read more from the author!

Thank you so much to the author and team for the earc!!

When I heard that Corinne was releasing a new series, I knew that I wanted to read it, and as soon as she said rival families, I said SOLD. There is something so delicious about the tension between two characters who are attracted to each other but run into years of familial shenanigans and hatred. The dynamics between these two families were fantastically done.

Tristan and Lark were equally as fantastic. Tristian was every bit the cowboy single dad I love wrapped in a grumpy package. Seeing him learn to let Lark in and fall in love all over again had my heart so happy. And Lark, this kickass cowgirl was so fierce and protective over those she loves, but was also able to be tender too. I loved seeing her relationship with Tristian's daughter Sadie, who was her own version of a firecracker. Sadie definitely kept Tristian on his toes and their dynamic was one of my favorite themes in the story.

I loved seeing their banter and the tension between the two. The sneaking around, the small acts of kindness they did in the shadows of the feud and the spice were all done so well. And throughout the story, the emotional depth to the characters had me on the edge of my seat and asking how they were going to survive the feud.

I am so excited to see where Corinne takes the series from here. I have a feeling that this might become my new favorite series from Corinne! Thank you so much to Corinne and her team for the early copy of West of Forever!

I will eat up a grumpy cowboy single dad every time and Corrine Michaels delivered. This was so good! I loved the dynamic of the romance between these two whose families are neighbors and rivals. I loved the tension, the sneaking around, the banter, and the spice it was all done so good.

These two both had such a deeper emotional connection with grief that just made it that much more meaningful. I loved watching Tristan finally open his heart up again. I loved Sadie she was a little firecracker and I just loved her relationship with Lark. Clyde absolutely stole the show for me! Loved him!

This is going to be a great series! Def add this one to your tbr it releases on 6/16. Thank you to netgalley, Corrine Michales, and sourcebooks for sending me this advanced copy!

4.5⭐️ A forbidden romance, small town vibes, and a single dad what more could you want in a cowboy romance?

We follow Lark and Tristian from rival families who have hated each other for decades. So we get the best banter, secret hookups, and a forbidden romance. The family aspect was amazing and I loved all the side characters. There were also some hilarious moments as well that had me laughing out loud.

I inhaled this in under 24 hours and loved every second of it! If you’re a fan of Elsie Silver, Paisley Hope, or Bailey Hannah this should definitely get added to your tbr.

Thank you Sourcebooks Casablanca for the advanced copy! Very excited for Harper’s story!!

I absolutely loved this one! You just can’t beat a man in a cowboy hat, right?

This was my first Corrine Michaels books but it definitely won’t be my last. This had me hooked from the very start and I devoured it in a day!!

Tristan and Lark’s relationship development was so engaging, especially with the added tension of their feuding families. The story gave me some Romeo and Juliet vibes because of the family feud which made everything more interesting.

I loved seeing Lark and Tristan finally get their happy ending, especially since their families finally put to rest a fued lasting generations for them to be together. So satisfying!

I really enjoyed the small town cowboy romance setting of the story! I especially loved Lark and Sadie’s relationship. They were so cute and funny and Sadie definitely brought so much heart to the story.

Overall, a fun and charming read. I can’t wait for the next book in the series!

2.5⭐️’s

I was really excited for this small town enemies to lovers/forbidden romance. However, there was some things that I didn’t care for. One of those things was the dialogue. Half of the time I just wanted to roll my eyes, it was over the top corny and then there was dialogue explaining to other characters of what happened and it was like the author just copied and pasted and put quotation marks around it. And for the “pranks” that were happening on the Gatlin’s property never got concluded? All of a sudden they just stopped happening because MC’s relationship was out in the open? I feel like this is an editor issue not an author issue. That is all I’ve got to say.

This was so cute and such a fun read. I loved Tristan and Lark, they had so much chemistry, and their banter did it for me. Tristan with his daughter was so cute, and I loved how he was always thinking of Lark when he made decisions, even though her family and his family didn’t get along. He was willing to do anything to make things easier for her.

When he finally puts his feelings out there and Lark does too, that moment was everything, and you could really feel the emotions and connection between them. I did this one on audio too and loved the narration and storytelling. Can’t wait to read more by this author.
