This is one of those books I didn't think I'd find on Goodreads or anywhere else because it's so rare. I was cleaning up a bunch of my books from childhood and found this in mint condition. Cute story of how Darkwing foils a plan that involves several imitator crusaders committing crimes in his name. Took five minutes for me to read after quite a number of years, but I'm counting it in my yearly reading goal. :P
Well, I can't deny that it reads exactly like an episode of Darkwing Duck! It has all the trademarks: dubiously-executed crime (frame Darkwing for theft/vandalism), Darkwing (and Launchpad) blundering into the enemy's territory, even a cel animation art style! The resolution is a bit tenuous, but that's par for the course, too. Maybe the one weird thing is, at the very end, . I don't think that was intentional, but it's strange.
Recommended for the rapidly-declining number of fans of Darkwing! (I had some hopes with the DuckTalesreboot, but haven't seen any indication that Darkwing will get a similar reboot...)
I loved this series! Darkwing Duck is a great character, he is very dynamic but there are also a lot of comedic aspects thrown in which make the story more interesting.
