I need me a strong, gorgeous, built, gargoyle protector lol!
This series doesn’t quite, it’s like the Duracell bunny, that just keeps giving. I love ❤️ this series. I need me a strong protector gargoyle lol!! I truly love the characters, the story line and everything else about this series. I can say some of the wording is repetitive, so I guess it’s not completely perfect. However, I’m still invested in the characters and the outcome. I can’t believe some of the things discovered omg!! As much as I love this series, I’m taking a star away for the repetitiveness, it can get to be to much after a while.

Ok, so I lied in my last review. I didn't end up waiting a few months to start this book. It was more like a day at the most. I'm still very frustrated and angry with these characters and the overall story and yet here I am having finished book #4. When will I learn?

Gage is by far the most interesting and entertaining character in this whole series. I was iffy about him at first but now I would almost prefer to read everything from his point of view because he's at least straightforward with the truth and important information.

Asher seems to be evolving as a person throughout this book in particular. He's working on trusting Eve more and working on their relationship being two-sided instead of him demanding answers. He's not my favorite but he's at least getting better, overall... I think?

Eve is a bore. She never knows anything. No one ever tells her anything without being forced to. She gets in trouble for doing things because no one bothered to inform her of the dangers. My problem with her isn't her, it's the people who are meant to protect her and still won't tell her anything. She also kept a secret this whole book and it was damned annoying. Just tell me already! It's not like I can tell anyone what it is. I've said it before and I'll say it again keeping a plot moving based on keeping the main character in the dark does not a good story make.

I've gotten used to the big cliffhangers these books end on and I'm still not a fan. Though it wasn't the cliffhanger I was expecting, it was still a cliffhanger. This novel got a 3-star rating instead of a 2-star rating because Gage was so entertaining throughout the novel.

The Audio Book:

The narrations for this series are great! My problem has always been with the story and the way the author chose to write the characters. All the character voices are distinguishable and there are no random noises in the background.

Review to come!

Update 7/31/15:

This review is also featured on my blog Novels and Necklaces

Holy granola this was absolutely AMAZING!!!! Words cannot even describe my intense love for this series, and Randi just blew me away with this phenomenal installment in the Revelation Series! If the other books were the ice cream sundae, these were the sprinkles on top (I'm saving the cherry for the finale of the series). There were so many feels in this book, and my emotions were all over the place.

description

There were times I was squealing like the crazy fangirl I am, and then there were times I wanted to cry because of the pure beauty I was reading. Seriously, this book is the epitome of an emotional rollercoaster...and I loved Every.Single.Second.Of.It. I could literally go on for days about my love for Randi and her awesomeness, as well as the how much I loved this book, but I'll cut it down a bit (because who wants to read a review that goes on for days haha). My fangirl feelings can basically be summed up for this book by this:

description

As always, I loved Eve. She's stubborn, strong, and fiercely independent. She wants to do things her way, and is one of the feistiest characters you will ever read. The girl cracks me up with her witty banter between Asher, Callan, Keegan, Abby, McKenna, and the plethora of other character, but also with her inner monologue. Eve definitely comes into her own in this one, and I loved watching her growth over the course of this story. Asher is hot as ever, but also moody, which makes him even hotter. Ugh, the things this boy does to me. Gosh darn him! He's so protective of Eve, but he's also learning to give Eve her space. But never fear, Asher is still his normal self. Callan...you can't not love Callan. He's just so adorable and loveable! Plus, he's absolutely hilarious, and will have you cracking up even more than normal. Abby is a lucky girl! Lastly, Gage (because you can't forget Gage), he is my favorite bad boy gargoyle, and I will love him forever. He has so many great lines in this novel (just like always), but I feel like we also get a bit more insight into his character. My heart broke for him at the end, and yours will too when you read the ending scenes of this book. Honestly, my heart broke for all of them, and I can't even imagine what the ending events will mean for the next book.

The twists in this book are unreal, and the plot will leave you guessing until the end. Just when you think you have everything figured out, Randi throws a monkey wrench into everything and you're left second-guessing all your thoughts. Every time, you're like this:

description

The plot moves quickly, and I devoured this in one sitting. Nevertheless, it is the perfect pacing for this story, and it never feels rushed. You will be on the edge of your seat throughout this entire novel, and the action is at an all time high. You never know who will live and who will die. All of these exciting events lead to an extraordinary ending that will leave you desperate for the last book in the series, Restoration. To say this is a cliffhanger is not an accurate description...it's a mountain hanger! And with a sneak peak into the finale, let's just say I have no clue what's going to happen. All I do know is, it's going to be so so good, and I can't wait. After all it will be

description

This is a definite must read for fans of this series, and if you haven't started this series yet, what are you waiting for? Fall in love with one of the best gargoyle series out there! This book has it all, and the finale can't come out soon enough!

Happy reading :)

Between a 3.5 and a 4.0. The book was good, but there was so much going on that I found myself getting confused.

Plot:
Revolution picks up a couple of weeks after the conclusion of Redemption. Eve, who is feeling extremely guilty after stabbing Asher in the heart, is preparing to turn herself over to Lucifer to save her mother. After a last minute intervention from Gage, Eve is reunited with the St. Michaels clan and Asher. As she tries to re-earn Asher’s trust, Eve prepares for the war that is about to take place and tries to figure out what to do about the traitor in the clan.

Characters:
Poor Eve, it seems like no matter what she does, it’s always wrong, and this go round, she has a new power that can increase her chances of wreaking havoc on everything. Asher is usually very supportive of her, but his reaction to her stabbing him in the heart is priceless! As for the rest of the St. Michaels, McKenna is still McKenna, Abby and Callan are more comical than ever (they make it a mission to educate Eve about sex), and Keegan actually becomes more likeable.

Even though the St. Michaels have a perfect balance of silly and serious, my favorite character continues to be Gage. We really begin to see how Camille’s death affected him, and his need for vengeance, along with his protectiveness of Eve, make him seem a lot more trustworthy. It’s also really nice to see him take interest in someone other than Eve.

Writing:
Wilson maintains the suspense by presenting challenge after challenge and by keeping the identity of the traitor from us. Throughout the book, each and every person seems like a suspect at one time or another. She has created a perfect balance of characters, and the way they relate to each other is amazing. There is a lot of cursing, and there are some sexual situations, though they aren’t quite as graphic (or crass) as they were in Redemption. There are also several editing issues, but in most cases, the plot is compelling enough to push the reader past them.

Bottom Line:
This time I knew there was another book coming, but I still started freaking out toward the end when I realized the problems weren’t over. At least the traitor was revealed. Of course, that revelation leads to a HUGE cliffhanger, and the finale, Restoration, isn’t due out until later this year. I’ll be anxiously awaiting its release.

This wasn’t my favourite of the series but it was still mostly enjoyable. I feel
Like the angst between Eve and Asher is just getting a bit too much now it’s never ending and they do behave very immaturely at times Eve I can kind of understand as she is only eighteen but Asher is meant to be an age-old gargoyle and he just came across as very young also the language he uses around Eve is very YA.

Also though this ups the heat I wanted more passion and physical connection between them. Overall I did feel there was a lot of filler going on here that is until at least two thirds through then everything seems to explode and it was like a race to the finish. We also get to learn the identity of the traitor and this then ends on another cliffhanger finish.

Overall I’m enjoying this still and I will be reading the last book I just think this probably could have been condensed slightly.

So freaking tired of the slow pace of the plot this is the 4th book in the series and story is still stuck from where it started ....zero character development ...nothing worth reading except Callans witty banter (the only thing working in the favor of this series).

I just finished reading this book about 40 minutes ago, and I’m having the toughest time formulating my thoughts. So, this might turn into me just rambling. WOW. Just………WOW. I don’t even know what to say after that ending…. I feel like every single book in this series just has this huge cliffhanger at the end that steals my breath and catches me completely off guard. I have no idea what’s going to happen in the final book. I have no predictions. I’m just……at a loss.

This book was heartbreaking from moment one. There was so much raw emotion in all of the main characters….it just completely blew me away. Asher and Eve had to work through something so painful and powerful. Whew…..my emotions are all over the place right now.

The supernatural aspect of this book was off the freaking charts. Holy crap. So much happened and there were so many powerful players. Things happened that I had no idea were going to happen. HOLY CRAP. That’s really all I can say right about now.

Again, I wish that there were some more sexy scenes between Eve and Asher. There are SOME….but I still don’t feel like anyone has really lost control of their emotions and acted like a typical couple would act. Since this is an NA series….I would like a little more sexiness in it. Since there’s only one more book, I’m not sure if that’s going to happen…

Overall, I adored this book. It’s probably, so far, my second favorite in the whole series. Again, though, I still have book 5 to read. Now that I mentioned that, I’m even more devastated that I only have one book left to read in this series ]= My heart is a little broken right now. That could be because I’ve read four books in about four days. What was I thinking?!?!?!?!

I can’t wait to read book 5!!!

Revolution picks up right where we left off, with Eve totally screwing over her brand-new mate, an action that has serious repercussions. Eve is still looking before she leaps. She has such a big heart and is so desperate to protect those she loves that she's reckless with her safety. Luckily she has a lot of people around her who care about her and can reel her in. In Revolution she does seem to learn a bit of restraint, finally, and that's good because that girl is a trouble magnet.

Revolution moves the saga along, new puzzles are presented but it also answers some questions from the previous books. I can't say much without giving it all away but I liked the twists and turns - and the huge shocks - that kept me from putting the book down. Randi Cooley Wilson is not afraid to cause pain, people die, lie, and betray. I'm not sure these characters, especially Eve, can handle much more without losing it.

And as always there's the rest of the fabulous St. Michaels clan, funny and charming Callan with his tops with awesome sayings, sweet Abby - and them together is even better, the sex talk was hilarious. We also get a see a different relationship beginning with big brother Keegan and a long awaited confrontation with the always angry Kenna.

Of course we're left at an OMG 'what just happened?' moment. The books in the Revelation series always leave me desperate for the next book, I'm really excited about where the storyline is going.

I have so many mixed thoughts about this book, & in looking back the series. Before I start I did enjoy this, a lot., but I have to get this off my chest. There are two things that are really just starting to annoy me; Eve’s foolishness & Asher’s constant use of the word ‘Fuck’.

It’s such a stupid situation. She’s impatient because Michael can’t immediately go after Libby so she betrays her ‘family’ & goes off on her own & ends up spending a month training to be ready to go get Libby. It doesn’t make sense. I mean I know that wasn’t her initial intention but that’s what happens. This just makes her look immature & foolish. Passionate & brave too but mostly just stupid.

Asher’s potty mouth. I don’t want to sound like an old women, I love a good swear (shitballs) but it’s constant. Almost every sentence that comes out of his mouth includes the word ‘Fuck’. I just got tired of every exclamation starting with same word. It didn’t even seem natural in a lot of cases. I ended up ignoring the word where it didn’t.

Other than those complaints I liked how the dynamics with Eve & Asher progressed, how the story moves forward & the introduction of Uncle Urie. His excitement at eye rolls & sass was adorable.

“Is that sass? Am I being sassed?” Joy clouds his face. “Being an uncle is so cool.”

The development with Libby was heartbreaking & the ending, although a smidge predictable was very interesting. I’m looking forward to getting everything wrapped up in the last book.

The love between Asher and Eve will endure unless they destroy it themselves by not trusting each other. Here they all learn that there are secrets they are unaware of and Eve must make a decision about protecting Asher or destroying him. They finally are learning to trust each other and communicate. This is another page turner that you will not put down.

Don't Look Back!
The story continues with Eve Collins leaving her gargoyle mate Asher St. Michael. She is feeling guilty after stabbing Asher in the heart. She plans on giving herself to Lucifer in order to save Elizabeth her mother. As she is about to turn herself over Gage Gallagher intervenes saying he wasn't going to allow her to do something that is foolish. He instead takes her to see a Demon Lord named Asmodeus to see If there was a way to sneak into hell to rescue Eve's mother. There the meet a sorceress named Nasa who takes a liking to them and helps them. After a fail attempt to convince Asmodeus to help them, Eve, Gage and Nasa seek shelter at Marcus's place and to continue her training. Soon after Eve is reunited with the St. Michaels clan and Asher, even through what Eve did was a betrayal she hasn't lost the protection that the St. Michael clan has over her Asher is pissed and hurt by Eve's actions and must re-earn his trust. Eve tries to figure out what to do about the traitor in the clan, as well must faces many obstacles leading and during her ascension. She also tries to figure out what to do about the traitor in the clan. As the war between Heaven and Hell is at its peak. More secrets are revealed, deception is all-around, sacrifices will be made, no one is safe as it leads up to a interesting cliffhanger.

The story continues to follow Eve Collin's POV. Eve now has to face the consequences of her actions. She has a big heart and is desperate to protect those she loves, interfering with her on safety. She doesn't consider how her actions affect Asher or the St. Michael clan. She comes a cross in this book of having a big heart, feisty, determined, easily distracted, and stubborn. Her and Asher relationship continues to grow as they work through trust issues. Asher St. Michael is more distant with Eve in this book. After being betrayed by Eve he is is extremely hurt, and angry; even though Asher puts on a poker face to hide is emotions we do see more of is vulnerable side and how much he cares for Eve. however that doesn't stop his awesome personality as he comes across as strong, confident, cocky and possessive. We do see the lengths he would go to protect Eve. Gage Gallagher does come out of his shell and is my favorite character. The reader will discover how Camille’s death affected him, and constant determination for vengeance for her. He does comes across more smart, strong and trustworthy. More of his story does shed some light to some questions regarding the main plot. As for the rest of the St. Michael clan, McKenna, Abby and Callan and Keegan characters does grow and become more involved in the story and they all become even more likeable.

Randi Cooley Wilson writing is well executed. Wilson’s does a great job in gradually building up the plot from chapter to chapter. It did have a few some grammar errors but that can easily be fixed. The overall plot and pacing of moved along nicely from the last book. I's fast paced, action-filled, thrilling and maintains the suspense, that will keep the readers interested. I wish we could have the main characters take more risks in the story. I do feel the the author was playing it safe. I really wanted to see St.Michael Clan journey to hell to rescue Eve's mother. That would have been a lot of fun, and who knows what type of drama could have folded. The author does expresses plot conflicts different way by lying, and betray. I look forward to reading the final installment in the series Restoration!

The song I chose that best describes the story is You Gave It All Away By Red.

Would you have left your gargoyle protector to save the one you love? Let us know in the comment box!

Soaring Up High

Revolution is the fourth book in Randi Cooley Wilson’s Revelation series! This book was really heavy on the suspense and action, however, the romance was extremely sweet.

Revolution takes place right after Redemption. It resumes right after the big cliffy. Eve has done something extremely horrifying. And now, she is paying the price. However, her actions of self sacrifice make me love her and hate her at times. I like how she is thinking about the better of others, but she really does break some hearts and trust.

Asher in this book has it the hardest. There is so much he is going through. His life is also not as he thought it is. He has the added pressure of the gargoyle world and leading it. In addition with the looming war. However, Asher once again one me over. I throughly enjoyed seeing different sides of him. And I like how he is not easy on Eve. He makes her earn his forgiveness. Plus the sexy scenes, that boy knows his moves.

The romance continues to be steamy and extremely sweet. I like how there is more to their relationship. There are super nice stolen moments and some super kinky things happening. Also, sexual chemistry and heat of the moments really had my breath fanning there.

The action and suspense are much more heavier in this novel. There is so many twists and turns. I like that the characters in the beginning who I thought were nice aren’t. However, some of it just felt a wee bit repetitive. Eve getting captured and people after Eve. Eve being the protector and being a bit powerful kinda made me feel a bit dull while reading it. However, despite these low moments I did finish it and throughly enjoyed the world building. But my most favorite part is the biggest twist in the novel. That was one I was never counting on.

Overall, I throughly enjoyed reading book four. The only reason I am giving it four stars is because there was a bit of middle book syndrome. However, there are so many great qualities. I can’t wait for book five.

When reading the other books in the series I came to fall in love with the support characters. In particular Callan. I lost count of the number of times I cracked up into laughter because of something he said one of his slogan T-shirts. I also love the introduction of Uncle Urie in this story. He was so funny! Of course there was lots of drama between Eve and Asher. Not surprisingly considering her misguided attempt at protection in the last book. She is strong willed that's for sure. But she needs to learn to open up, communicate and trust Asher and the other gargoyles a little more. Plenty of action, the storyline is definitely building to a climax. Lots to love in this book.

I've been really enjoying this series and I've been reading the books straight after each other, so this meant that I started this book as soon as I had finished the third book! The last book was left at quite an ending, so I was looking forward to this book! After reading this book, I can say that I enjoyed it just as much as the others in the series and I think that it progressed the character's story perfectly! It really pushed the plot on further than I was expecting, but this allowed for more things to happen and for more things to come out! I do think that this book focused a lot on the paranormal aspect, which I loved, but it had a nice mix with the romance too! I would also say that the romance was hotter in this book than the other books! Secrets were also revealed and I can see these having a bigger impact in the next book! The characters were also amazing and made this book even better! Eve was again the main character, and in this book she knew a big secret, but kept it a secret because she didn't want to hurt her love interest! This made me respect Eve, but I think that her love interest would have understood and would have taken it well! Eve also just wanted to protect her love interest and make sure that he was safe! She did do something that she probably shouldn't have because it put her in a lot of danger, but in a way I understood why she did it! Asher was again the love interest of Eve! Asher wasn't in this book for some of it at the beginning, but this was for a good reason! He then appeared in this book a lot lol, and I loved him when he was in this book! He was again very protective of Eve, although a bit annoyed with her for what she did, and he supported her as best he could! Asher also went through a bit in this book, but he tried his best to come to terms with it all and I can't wait to see how he's going to tackle the big obstacle in the next book! This book was only written from Eve's point of view, which I wasn't expecting in a way because at the end of the last book there was a short scene from Asher's point of view and it said that it was an excerpt from this book, so I was expecting some of this book to have been written from his point of view! It wasn't so I was a little disappointed! I'm enjoying this book only being written from Eve's point of view though and I'm still able to connect with all the other characters! I now can't wait to read the next book in this series! The ending of this book was probably left at the best cliff-hanger yet, so this has me even more excited to read the final book! Well, I guess it's not really the final book, but it's the final book for Eve and Asher! I'm really happy that it's already released because this means that I'll be making it my next read! The cover for this book is also stunning and suits the covers for the other books in the series perfectly! I love that it uses an image to represent the book rather than models because it makes the covers for the series different!

5 fantastic gargoyle stars!!

Randi Cooley Wilson what have you done!? I'm obsessed with this series I can't put the books down! I love it!!

This is the second time I'm reading this series. I read it first last year and oh my God I loved it is much. Still loving it the second time! Which is so great because you know when you read a series and you love it but then the second time round it's like...meh

So anyway Revolution picks up where Redemption left off.
I understood why Eve did what she did because she did have the right intentions and she thought she was doing the right thing. So I got it. But I did think that she should have contacted Asher after. And I completely understood how angry Asher was and how hard it was to forgive her. However, I did think he was a bit of an a-hole at some points. That being said I loved how even though he couldn't forgive her he wasn't going to let her go and he was still there for her when she needed him!

Anyway, this was such a great book and a lot happens. Eve is still sort of struggling with what Morganna said before she died and also with keeping it from Asher. Also, traitors are revealed and boy does it shock you! I mean I did not see that coming at all!

I loved it overall and that cliffhanger! This is an amazing read and a fantastic series I just can't get enough!

Type of read: Lunch/Weekend Read.

What made me pick it up: Suggested by a friend and coworker who is letting me borrow the series after they're done reading them.

Overall rating: Just a recap of my reviews from the first three books in the Revelation series...For when you need a good book that doesn't completely ruin you, this is the series for you. It's low-pressure, low-stress, and slightly predictable content that can suck you in but doesn't overtake your day.

Now on to the review of 'Revolution.' I feel like the beginning of the book was the most ridiculous tease ever and it almost felt like Cooley Wilson had thought there was a plot twist they wanted to take and then during editing they were just like 'ope, not a fan of that anymore, let's go back to what we know.' This was my least favorite in the series so far and I felt like there was so much that was thrown into the book just to make that arch to the end of the story. I'm really hoping we end on a high note and that this isn't the start of the fall of Cooley Wilson.

Reader's Note: Revolution includes themes of death, dying, assault, torture, and sex. We get to a very mild level of spice. There is also some light BDSM.

Can I just say I am SOOO GLAD I waited reading this! Because your cliffhangers gives me chills and I'm jumping to the next novel right now because that left me feeling all emotional. (In a Good Way)

I seriously wanted to know what went through Keegan's mind when Eve gave him that note and kept her secret. That ending!!

**Shocked Face**

The banter between Nassa and Gage are absolutely funny I can't wait to read their story!

Ash and Eve... I finally let Ash in my heart he has definitely grown on me and his Overprotective nature has matured and I love he can trust more in Eve. Now Eve shes stubborn and thinks more with her heart then her head, her plans are outrageous when trying to protect the people she loves and her heart is in the right place but dang I'm surprised Asher and his family lasted as long as they have with her lol

Still love Callan, he's so freaking adorable!

I think you did amazing writing this series and how well put the events in Eves life effect every novel especially every novel after.

I still think this a MUST READ and you won't be disappointed. On to Book 5!!

This book was an emotional roller coaster ride. I was so worried about Eve’s plan, between the tears I kept thinking, how is this going to turn out? I was on the edge of my seat and then Gage shocks me, not the last time he does that in this book. Once again we meet a few new characters and I love how Eve speaks to the one, she is so feisty, and I love the other character that ends up being “family”. I cannot believe the treachery, the disgrace, the betrayal that is displayed and then brought to life in this book, wow it blew my mind. Once again there were many parts that had me ugly crying and then the ending has me baffled. I can’t wait to start the next book immediately.

Wow talk about revelations, lies, mistrust, things set in motion long ago, but will the outcome change. Eve is still trying to come to terms with the ongoing changes, her part to play in destiny and the cruelty of the world, will her secret turn out to be the worse thing for Asher and her new family? Or will Asher understand?
This series just gets better, again the story continues to wow, great plot, great characters, new and old, amazing romance and sex, but so much darkness and angst. I can't get enough, highly recommend.

I'm hooked. Despite my earlier reviews. I clearly want to know what happen and I can't just stop so it's not as bad as i thought.

I just wish there was more lessons, training, history given all the supernatural beings involved. It kind of just skims over it. And the jumps in the story line are a bit frustrating but she does a good job of filling in some of the blanks or enough blanks in 1-3 lines.
