I was absolutely captivated in this series. Each book I devoured needing to get to the next book, to find out what’s was going to happen next. None of the books disappointed, all were full of action, love, family, secrets, evil, you know all the things that make a great book.

The characters were awesome, I loved the relationship between Eve and Asher. It was sweet, yet hot and intense. All the characters their interactions and personalities were believable. My other favorite character was Gage the hot, brooding, sexy Gargoyle who’s loss broke him.

I thought the series was great, the only thing I noticed is some repetition. If it had been worse it would have bothered me. I don’t really mind misspelling, or problems like that. I can still read the book and enjoy the story, but repetitive wording and phrases, can drive me nuts. I’m going to give it 4 stars, because of the repetition and I think the ending could have been better.

There’s one more book, it’s Gages story. I don’t think I’m going to read it, just because I know what’s going to happen. You can definitely tell after reading the other books. I’m not going to say why, because I don’t want to ruin it for everyone who wants to read it.

5 stars !!!!!!!!

Asher St. Michael, prince of the gargoyle race, emanates darkness, power, and raw beauty. He took an oath to protect his siren, Eve Collins, always.

“You live in fear that no one will hear your cries...I hear them. I’ll catch you when you fall, always. All of your broken dreams, I will make them fade away. When you’re lost, I will find you and bring you home. I will pick you up when your world shatters.”

I loved this series so much. I read the first four books back to back and could not wait for this finale. It was just so beautiful! A perfect conclusion to an epic love story. I non-stopped swooned. This dark prince with his fierce possessiveness captured my heart and never let it go. #DamnGargoyle

EVERYONE LOVES DARKNESS UNTIL IT CONSUMES THEM.

In this installment there were so many forces keeping Asher and Eve apart. Forces of good and evil....a cataclysmic blend of glorious light and supernatural dark. I read with my hand to my heart..... can an all-consuming love conquer all? Is their bond unbreakable ? It is hard to review this book without giving anything away. Just read it ! Trust me ! There's amazing characters that will have you laughing and crying and swooning and sighing !

"All of these lies lingering in the air, don’t matter. WE matter. Whatever the reason that you were brought into my life, I’m grateful. You’ve ended the darkening skies in my world. YOU are all I want. YOU are all I need.” He swallows, flicking his gaze behind me before meeting mine again. “I’ve never dreamed that I could love someone the way I love you, siren. The fragmented pieces of my life only come together when I’m with you.”

"Here in the darkness of the night and in the light of the moon and stars, I vow this to you. There is nothing I will fight harder for than to love, shelter, and revere you, forever, with every fiber of my being. Nothing stronger exists than my love for you, Eve Marie Collins. I will protect you, always."

You are mine. My soul is yours. This love...is unbreakable.

DNF At 3 hours and 28 minutes (Audio Book sped up to x1.25)

In the past, you may have caught me hate reading a book or two but never a series. Yet here we are. I've DNFed books because I disliked a character. I've hate-read and finished books to spite the characters in some way shape or form (strange, I know). Until today I had never hate-read a series.

There's just no winning with this series and this set of characters for me. As I've said in the past, the world-building is fantastic but that's about where my compliments stop.

I just can't with Eve and this family of protectors at this point 5 books in. If she does something stupid because she didn't know any better someone calls her dumb, she seems like she has a death wish and is too stupid to live. When she finally asks a relevant question she's also called dumb because it's something that's obvious to all the other characters except for her and the reader. I'm tired of this crap.

Asher is too moody, domineering and overprotective almost all the time. It's like he'd rather die than have Eve help him fight off the big-bads. She's been training for at least a book and a half now and she at least has a sense of what she can do. Yet when things hit the fan the first thing out of his mouth is "so and so take Eve away to the safe house and make her wait there".

Asher's family is even worse. Even the ones that are nice come off as condescending even at the best of times. Mackenna (this spelling may be wrong because I've only listened to this novel) is the worst of them and I can't take her snarky attitude towards Eve for no damn reason any longer. If I could kill off one person in this entire series it would be her. She's mean for the sake of being mean. After 5 books and she still hasn't changed I'm sorry to say but being mean is not a personality trait.

I disliked how this book mostly focused on Eve and Asher's relationship. And that's a mindblowing statement I thought would never come out of my mouth. I'm a hardcore romance fan. Every story-based book I read has to have at least a sprinkle of romance in it. In this book, however, I couldn't stand all the dramatics and overprotectiveness associated with Eve and Asher. I wanted more story. I wanted to get to know even more of the world the author buildt. I did not want more of the on-again-off-again "relationship" that is Eve and Asher.

I'm just glad their story is finally over, or maybe I'm just glad I finally decided to stop torturing myself by reading this series.

This finale is epic in every way imaginable, and the perfect conclusion to this amazing series! After the ending of the fourth book, Revolution, with the revelation that Daddy of the Hotty-McHottster gargoyle brothers is alive and well, and that he basically hates Eve, well, you know that some major drama was going to go down in this book. And boy did it! There's danger around every turn, and the London clan only has a select few they can trust. It's very difficult to review this book without giving away spoilers, but I'm going to do my best. Just trust me on this though, read this as soon as you can because you will not be disappointed.

"I’ll catch you when you fall, always. All of your broken dreams, I will make them fade away. When you’re lost, I will find you and bring you home. I will pick you up when your world shatters.”

Asher and Eve have had every force against them from the beginning, and it doesn't stop in this book. But together, they make an unstoppable force that nothing will get in the way of them being together. I loved Eve's growth in this novel. She has come such a long way since that girl in the first book. Eve steps up into her role and she marks her place in both the clan and the gargoyle world. Nothing will stop her from protecting those she loves the most, and she will go to immeasurable lengths to make sure that the baddies don't win. Asher is his ever-protective, passionate self that will make you swoon and melt inside. He still is dominant and stubborn, but it just makes you love him even more. Plus, he has that piercing that gets you every single time. Together, Asher and Eve as perfect for each other and I loved the way they developed an even stronger dynamic. They truly became a couple, realizing that there is a certain give and take in every relationship, and they accomplish this perfectly. And there's one specific scene (you'll know it when you read it) that brought me to tears because it was so beautiful, and basically left me looking like a blubbering mess.

Abby and Callan are still the cutest couple ever, and had me laughing so hard throughout the book. We see a bit of a different side to McKenna (aka Cupcake) and it was very refreshing. There are some other major changes in store for the clan in this book, with a surprise addition for one of our favorite couples. I loved how much the other clans were incorporated into the story, and I'm hoping we see more of them in the spin-off series. Gage was his normal, bad boy self, and while I did wish for a bit more of a conclusion with him and Nessa, I think my suspicions will be correct that we'll see more of him in the next series. However, that being said, we see significant growth with his character as well. My heart was breaking for him so many times while reading, and the end just put a huge smile on my face. Gage has come such a long way, and he deserves every happiness!

Randi did an excellent job at leading into the Royal Protector's Academy (RPA), and I am so excited to see what will happen. She set the series up perfectly, and it's a seamless transition. There's even a bit of a sneak peek of the new series, and it definitely gets off to an interesting start!!

Overall, this is the perfect conclusion to this series, and I couldn't have asked for a better ending. You can tell how much Randi is devoted to these characters, and she delivered an absolutely wonderful story for fans. With twists and turns that you won't see coming, this is a beautifully breathtaking book that will sweep you away. When I picked up the first book in this series I had no clue that this would become such a huge part of my life, but this series has a special place in my heart, and I will always consider it one of my all-time favorites. Randi creates an extraordinary and unique world that you will want to visit over and over again. While I am sad to see these characters go, I can't wait to see what Randi has in store for us next with RPA!! Go read this now!

Happy reading :)

This finished the series satisfactorily though it was slightly anti-climatic the grand finale just seemed a bit to easy.
In this book we mostly focus on the relationship between Asher and Eve they get to solidify there bond and there is a lot of emotion. This one definitely has the most sauce as well.

I did find that at times the flow here felt somewhat disjointed for example when Eve wakes up a prisoner again after her bonding ceremony I turned back a page to see if I’d missed something.

I also think this all could have been condensed slightly as the back and forth between Asher and Eve could at times get a bit too much. Overall though I’ve enjoyed this series and it has been a highly imaginative one and it was lovely to see Eve and Asher finally free to live there life together without all the constant danger.

I HATE when I start a series and find out I have to wait for the next book! This series is fantastic! Randi, if you need some ARC reviews I'm here for you! *wink wink, hint hint*

***I received an ARC copy in exchange for an honest review***

Fast pace, lots of action, and some steamy scenes!

Amazing! I tried to take a little time enjoying the end of Eve and Asher, but couldn't stop reading! I still think Abby is my favorite character, I'm so happy for her and Callan.

Everything was wrapped up great and also had a nice lead into the next series RPA. I can not wait to start that series!

highly recommend this series!

YES. I FINALLY FINISHED THE SERIES.

No more half-assed plotline, sickening over-the-top romance, awfully written accents and a useless protagonist with no character development.

It took all five books for nothing to happen and my stubborness to complete the series. I think it's safe to say I WILL NOT be picking this up ever again.

All I can say is... thank God it's over.

3 stars was generous in my opinion, and only because I felt that this book picked up a little more than the previous couple.

I couldn't figure out what annoyed me most... the fact that the plot tended to be mostly about the romance rather than the whole Heaven Vs Hell war, the fact that romance itself I could barely stomach or the fact that I disliked the majority of the characters.

I find it hard to enjoy 'forever' romances where the characters apparently forget to even breathe around each other because they love them so much (I mean come on!), and I find it harder to stomach when it's with characters I struggle to like. This is exactly what happened. A lot of the book focused on how much Asher and Eve loved each other - which okay, yeah I enjoy some romance and some sweetness and drama etc, but I started skipping pages and just skim reading after a while because it was just too much.

In the first book I liked Asher... by the last book there was hardly a moment of him I enjoyed reading. He redeemed himself a little in the series finale by seeming to calm down a little, but he came across as horrifically possessive, angry and downright abusive at times. Lots of stupid arguments, lots of neck grabbing and 'you're MINE' that made it an uncomfortable read for me unfortunately. Especially when his family tell Eve to just...let him be like that, and that she should just let him take control of everything. What happened to having a strong female protagonist?? Eve on the other hand? Passive, boring, useless...she frustrated me to no end!! I'm not even going to bother going into it but there was plenty of eye rolling. The other characters? Eh. There were moments when the comedy between the family was quite nice, but a lot of the time it felt like it was placed in odd moments of the book, and it was all a little too... weird (for lack of a better word). Not to mention that the family reminded me veeeery much of 'Twilight'. All couples living under a roof...cliche personalities...very one dimensional.

On to the Archangels and the bad guys... -sigh- well... I can appreciate a fresh approach on how Angels and Demons may talk and act, but I couldn't take them seriously at all. (Uncle Urie?? Really??)

Don't even get me started on the accents. The English nanny actually offended me a little (being English myself), because it was just so damn ridiculous and stereotypical... argh no, I just can't! At least do some research if you're going to shove other nationalities into your novel!

The big showdown happened pretty quickly and was over and done with, within a couple of pages. Everything was tied up neatly, happy endings all around and whilst I don't resent a happy ending, I'm not a fan of everything sorting itself out with no repercussions or problems.

I suppose I let my frustrations run away with me a little.. but I did enjoy the first book and felt the rest of the series was a real let down when the original plot seemed promising.

One shining light would be Gage. He felt like the most down to earth character, and I enjoyed his banter. It was a shame that he was also tied up in a neat little ending as his romance with Nassa came on rather abruptly and seemed a little superficial...but oh well...it's over!

{My Thoughts} – This was a spectacular conclusion to an incredibly well written series. I am honored to have been given the opportunity to read this entire series.

Eve and Asher are put through some of their biggest trials within the pages of this book. They both learn that the truth they have known has been altered to fit the agenda of others. They both learn that they cannot survive. nor exist without the other. They both learn that despite everything they really truly are in love with one another and love can move bridges!

I enjoyed getting to know more of Asher’s personality in this book. I think that he is an amazing character that was well written. I would be lying if I didn’t say I had a book crush on him, I mean honestly how can’t you. His description within the pages is well done and leaves you wanting more, so much more. It’s no wonder that Eve can’t keep away from him on so many different levels.

Eve is pretty much Eve. She is a annoying character at times, but I do enjoy when her and Kenna banter back and forth. It’s really well written and makes the reader look forward to those incredible scenes.

Gage is arrogant in so many ways, but it suits him. I could easily imagine him saying and doing the things he was saying and doing. I also enjoyed getting to know his softer side. His emotional side instead of the massive tough boy act that he always displayed.

All and all there is a lot of big things that happen within the pages of this book. There are a lot of Revelations that come to light as well. It is tied up with a nice little bow in the end for the most part. However, it is a grand feeling knowing that this story isn’t completely over and that there is going to be a spin off makes me so excited for what is to come. I truly have fallen in love with this series and it is one that I will be reading again in the future just to read it, because it is that fabulous!

This was a great ending to the story. Wrapped everything up while leaving some details that I’m sure feed into the Royal Protector Academy spin-off.

There was the usual theme of Asher & Eve being separated & then reunited. Seems these two just can’t keep track of one another... but the reunion is always intensely sweet (& hot) so it works, even if a little overdone at this point. At least throughout these experiences it felt like Eve was finally learning. The ceremony was nice. Very personal & I’m glad the time was taken to write out the small details of what that entailed.

Overall I’ve enjoyed this series but there was... something missing, it could have been a 5 star series if it could just have figured out what that was. I also can’t help but think that this could all have been wrapped up in say three books. There was a lot of the story that didn’t add to the overall storyline of the series & some repetition of themes. Despite this I will be reading the spin-off. Not right now but I do want to return to this world & see what’s happening with Callan & Abby’s daughter.

I devoured this series in less than a week. Part of me is really excited to say that, because I got to read all the hot Asher scenes. The other part of me, though, is a little bit devastated that it’s over. I mean, seriously, why can’t there be like 20 books in this series? I’d read them all.

I hate to say it, but Restoration was probably my least favorite book in the series…. It was a little choppy. There were several scenes that felt as if there was this huge space of content that I missed. Scenes would skip ahead of where they had just ended, and it kind of confused me. I wish that the story would have been a little more smooth and that I would have had a chance to read the scenes that I had seemed to miss.

The beginning of the story also confused me a little. I guess I should say spoiler alert for this paragraph………Ok, so the beginning of Restoration kicks off where book 4 ended and starts with Eve being unconscious and not remember anything about Asher or the gargoyles. She remembered a little bit, but not very much. Personally, I loved that. I wish that she had lost those memories for a good chunk of the book. How awesome would it have been to see Asher protect her and try to woo her all over again? Instead, she gained back all of her memories the very next chapter. So, I didn’t even really understand the point of her losing the memories in the first chapter.

Asher, as always, was perfection. I really enjoyed watching his character grow in the book. Yes, he was still a little childish and grumpy, as is his nature, but I felt like so much happened to him in this book. Also, him and Eve, swoooooooooooon! I just wish that there would have been some more swoony scenes between them, especially since this was the last book.

I have to mention Gage, because I’m super confused that Randi Cooley Wilson’s next series doesn’t focus on him. OMG that man is hot! Since the next series isn’t about him, I wonder if we’re going to hear more about his ongoing relationship with the sorceress. I didn’t really feel that that was completed in Restoration, and I REALLY want to know more! I so wish an entire series could be dedicated to him.

The action in Restoration was jam packed. There was SO MUCH going on throughout the whole book. There were also several scenes that blew me away! I did NOT see some of those things coming!!! I don’t want to give any spoilers about those moments, because I don’t want to ruin it for you, but they were good!

Overall, I absolutely adored this entire series. I’m very sad that it’s over, and I can’t wait until Randi’s next series comes out. I do hope that she eventually considers going back to the Revelation series, instead of just bringing them back as guest stars, because I really don’t feel that Asher and Eve’s story is over. I feel like they have more to tell.

I can’t express to you how much you need to go read this book. Go buy the whole series, right now!!!

This was a really great series that I enjoyed immensely. I laughed, I cried, and I was able to really engage with the plot and characters. I'm extremely excited about the spin off.

There were a couple things that really annoyed and aggravated me throughout this series that I hope won't be in the spin off trilogy. First, was how often Eve made just really bad and almost irrational decisions. Her reasons for them just didn't make sense. I suppose it could have been due to or explained away by her age, but it was incredibly frustrating. They often didn't seem to mesh with the maturity level and thought processes she possessed in other parts of the books. Some of her actions often seemed just like an easy way to extend the book or plot or cause some kind of friction. I hope Serena makes better decisions in the spin off. Second was how often Asher said his catch phrase, "I will protect you, always." It was swoon worthy through out the first couple books, but became was too redundant and over used after that. I actually cringed or rolled my eyes each time he said it in the last book because I was so over it. It could have continued to be swoon worthy and novel if it had been said less often. There were a few other things, such as the amount Asher's piercing was focused on or mentioned, that was overkill too. Third, Asher's hypocrisy and unwillingness to let Eve grow was very off putting. *spolier* For instance, Asher was too angry for too long at Eve when she left to "protect" him even though he had done the same thing to her earlier, which she forgave him for much more easily and quickly.

I feel a little like I'm nitpicking. However, it's only because I feel this author could become one of my favorites if these issues were resolved as she further grows in her writing. This is coming from someone incredibly difficult to please and has only a handful of favorite authors (and books that receive 5 stars). I really enjoyed these books and this writing (overlooking those previously mentioned items) that much.

Ok so the book finally came out and It was just breathtaking. I am so sad this series is over. It's so rare when you fall in love with the characters and are in the moment. I couldn't have asked for more out of this final installment! Can't wait to see what else Mrs. Randi writes!

I can't really describe what Asher looks like in my head or Eve for that matter but this is the closest I could come up with. I always make up the characters up in my own head and honestly no picture can compare to how I view these characters.

This is the final book in the series, many questions get answered and relationships are strengthened. My favorite part of this book is how Asher and Eve finally learn to work together and trust each other, which is needed if they are going to save their future. There are lots of trying moments for the couple but they come out stronger.

Asher must face his worst fear and Eve must let him. This is a great finish for this series, everything tied together nicely.

What a great ending to this wonderful and action-packed series! I cannot believe it's over :'( I will miss my full-time sessions with my fave characters Asher, Gage, Callan, Abby, Uriel and even Kenna! At least I will have them for part-time sessions in RPA!

"If anyone can bring us all restoration, it's you."

It is an understatement to say that Asher and Eve have gone through literal hell to be together and save the human race along with the whole St. Michael clan. It hasn't been easy but they have gotten through it all. We finally get to see this couple mature together and trust one another completely and I was so happy! I needed my lovebirds to be happy (Asher is still mine... I'm just lending to him Eve, obviously). The romance in this book was kicked up a notch and I swooned like crazy. Asher is one hot gargoyle who will have you swooning and wanting an Asher of your own.

"WE matter. [...] You've ended the darkening skies in my world. YOU are all I want. YOU are all I need. [...] I've never dreamed tat I could love someone the way I love you, siren. [...] All of your broken dreams, I will make them fade away. When you're lost, I will find you and bring you home."

I was incredibly surprised by Eve's best friend Aria's appearance in this book and how vital her character is to Eve's life. I think this was a great addition to the story and something that I loved to read about because I really missed her and knowing about her a little bit more helped me understand various things that had happened in the previous books and I loved how Randi wrapped things up with her in this book.

If you guys don't know by now, I freaking adore Callan. He is the funniest character in the series and I always laugh so much with him! He gives this book a light feel to it despite all the action and emotional scenes we get. It is safe to say that Abby is the perfect match for him, as I have seen from the other books and in this one specifically it was shown even more. They compliment each other so freaking well and are always teasing one another and making this story even better by their witty and hilarious banter. It is safe to say that this couple will have their hands full on RPA after reading the excerpt that was added at the end of Restoration.

"What could possibly be more important than discussing my pickle?" [...] "That came out different than it sounded in my head."

I cannot leave Gage Gallagher behind. While I do wish he had gotten more of a closure in this story with Nassa, I'm pretty sure we will be reading more about him in the RPA series. I always loved Gage even though I never knew on which side he was but it was impossible not to love him. Just by his accent and saying "love" *fans face* I was a goner.

The ending was beyond action-packed and so vivid. I was so excited to read how everything would play out and I'm happy to say that I'm content with how  Randi ended things and how she gave an introduction to the RPA series, coming out in 2016 I believe.

I never knew that Revelation would introduce me to this fantastic author and this brilliant series. I'm glad I give it a chance because this series as been amazing from beginning to end. This series deserves a whole lot of recognition and I highly recommend everyone to read it. Randi has delivered a series filled with unexpected twists, gasp-out-loud cliffhangers, tearful and heart-wrenching scenes, lovable characters and a story so put together with an outstanding ending.

"Every choice I've ever made, every mistake that has come from those choices, it was all for you. This, was all for you. I love you, siren."

*I read this book in return for an honest review. Full review can be found on the LitBuzz web site*

When it all falls apart, can you put it back together?
When Randi Cooley Wilson’s last book, Revolution (Book 4 in the Revelation series), ended, it seemed like everything was over. Eve Collins, our heroine, was carted off by the bad guys, in this case her mate’s father (wow!) and things were looking bleak.

As Restoration opens, clearly we know that somehow Eve and Asher (her ultra dominating, sexy gargoyle of a partially-mated guardian) will end up back together – I mean, they have to, right? But that isn’t clear at the onset and Wilson takes us out of the gate revealing truths we have been wondering about since Revelation! In teasers, we knew that something was up with Aria, but I don’t think anyone suspects the reality, or how vital a role she plays in getting things going for this final installment in the Revelation series.

The London clan has faced the harshest reality they can imagine: the king, and father of the gargoyle hotty brothers, is not only alive but a really bad guy. He’s not only consorting with the enemy, but he kinda hates Eve. None of this bodes well, and it’s definitely put a totally unnecessary rift between our star-crossed lovers.

But, as the wise and lovely Marilyn Monroe once said, “Some good things fall apart so better things can fall together”.

So even though it’s clear that Eve and Asher are perfect – divinely so even – and that she’s finally making a place for herself in the clan and this crazy new life, it won’t be enough.

Because only after they face it all down can restoration happen.
(See what I did there?)
So what did I think? Well, first, I think it was superbly well-executed. Ending this story was painful for Randi, as can be seen by both her social media posts and her notes in the beginning of the book. Clearly, these characters were and are real to her, and being true to them was important to her.

I’d say she was successful, if that was her goal.

Though I was left hoping for more resolution for Gage, I kind of think we might learn more about that in her next series, which focuses on some key children of the London and Paris clans. I did wonder a few times if he was going to switch sides, and maybe that was intentional by the author. I hated that I could never completely trust him, and in the end it gave the book another layer by keeping me guessing.

Callan and Abby remain adorable, and their story definitely has more moving parts. I look forward to seeing how they handle the twists and turns this book leaves us with, and how that adventure plays out. Given the teaser for the next series, I imagine that they remain very busy. As a side note, if I could send Callan something other than an apron, I think he might actually rock this beautiful piece of menswear (see pic on LitBuzz).

I was intrigued by the deeper introduction of some of the other clan members in various regions, and I wonder how they play in for the future. What the story, Randi? Will we have multiple spinoffs?

Speaking of which, I think shes does a WONDERFUL job of introducing her new series in a seamless way, incorporating some of the new characters and reintroducing some we may have forgotten so they’ll be fresh for Royal Protectors Academy (RPA), due out early in 2016.

In closing, when I found Revelation a while back, I absolutely loved that this story arc didn’t focus on angels or vampires (though they are both there), had a strong female lead who (mostly) didn’t run into idiotic situations all the time, and had both strong and lovable characters. Honestly, I could read these books simply for Callan! But it is rare to find books that are REALLY surprising anymore, and Randi Cooley Wilson has delivered on a series full of unexpected plot twists, insatiably awesome secondary characters and a believable world. She also made me want to re-visit the idea that men in jewelry CAN work!

re-read 4/4/18: 4.5 stars.
Everything I wrote in my first review (below) of this book is still true in terms of negatives, but for some reason it just didn't bother me nearly as much as it did last time.

----
3.5 stars

A feel good HEA is what I got, so if you want the tldr, that's it.

Prepare yourselves, I get a bit rambly...

So, this series was pretty addicting so I get stabbt feelings in my chest because I can't give it 5 stars. Just know that were my rating to be based purely on addictions, like of the crack mannerism but with books, it would be hands down a five star.

Downfalls:

1. Author suddenly changed her style of writing and it left me confused for chunks of the book. a chapter would end and then the next chapter drops you off in the middle of a shithole and you have no idea whatsoever how the characters got into whatever mess. This had me flipping back pages so hard wondering if this was a complete copy or if I skipped a page...or maybe AN ENTIRE CHAPTER OR SOMETHING!?

But no, seems like RCW attempted to be edgy in her writing and failed at it...epicly. Honestly, the story would have been more coherent if she'd just written the story in the actual sequence of the events that happened. Or maybe she just didn't want to right the lead up to the shit storm, so she just skipped over it and dropped us off into "what the fuck" land. Either way, it was done poorly and as readers we missed out on scenes that could have really added to the story.

2. Five books later and Eve and Ash still haven't got their shit together regarding their relationship. Bonded? Does that even mean anything to Eve? She still does whatever she wants without regard to Asher's feelings and constantly questions if they'll actually last. Well Blood of Eden, do I have news for you: you Bonded with the dude. of your own free will!! Little too late to be questioning your bond, don't ya think?

3. All the dramatized plot points ( ie, Eve the chosen one, can't be mated to a protector, Luke I am your father Bullshit) kind of just went away with a simple "oh, I lied." from the archangels. THIS. This pissed me off to no end. Four fucking books ever and that's the resolution we get!? I NEED ANGST AND DRAMA.

Eh, at least I got violent bloodshed, as anticlimactic as it was.

Done 'er rights:

Like I mentioned before, the story is pretty addictive. We get more tortured gorgeous Gage, ultra Uncle Urie, crazy Callan, and sassy Nassa (sorry, couldn't think of an 'S' describing word there).

I also really appreciated how this started off as YA and matured into NA as Eve matured.
If more YA books followed this natural progression, I'd be pretty happy to say the least. Like of course Eve is gonna change and mature with all the shit she went through. So glad RCW didn't downplay that. This book is filled with curse words, sex,. a d violence galor.

Resoration also sets up well for her spin- off series. That being said, I probably won't read it.

But why not Hetal!? you love paranormal books with an Academy setting.

Well, my friends, I honest to heaven and Earth hate spin-offs about different characters. (Except if it was about Gage and Nassa, I'd probably read the fuck out of that series.) From one chapter I read, I already disliked it. HOWEVER if you want to be taken back to this world, check out the next installation in this crazy world: The Protectorate Academy series.

final note, why does literally no one in this fucking book ever call Eve by her name?

Callen: Cutie/Eves
Abby: Eves
Kenna: Blood of Eden
Asher: Siren
Gage: Love
Everyone fucking else: Daughter of Heaven

Like why does she even have a name!?
