When my brother jets off on a last-minute holiday, leaving me to run our business, my plan to avoid Christmas is left in tatters.
The bright side? Is there one? I don’t really do bright sides.
Making use of my brother’s flashy car and his driver, Rowan, is a plus. Sort of. Upbeat personalities aren’t my thing. Despite that, Rowan’s optimism is better than any chisel, chipping away at my stern exterior.
Getting stranded in a snowstorm wasn’t on my itinerary, but here we are, cold and all alone, with no sign of being rescued.
I couldn’t leave Rowan to freeze, could I? As we try to stay warm, I discover something about Rowan which makes me realise we have more in common than I expected.
I’m technically his boss…
…but that doesn’t matter tonight.
Not when working together to raise the temperature in the car has the potential to be so much fun.
But when the storm clears, will I still want to be Rowan’s Daddy?
A Daddy for Christmas 3: Rowan is a low-angst, 40,000-word, feel-good insta-love contemporary romance, with a grumpy boss falling for his ray-of-sunshine employee.
A Daddy for Christmas 3 is a multi-author series. Holiday tales of boys in need of Daddy’s love and in some cases, a firm hand. Naughty or nice, it’s all in Santa’s hands now. So why not dive in and read each standalone and enjoy the holidays alongside our boys.
I'm an indie author from the UK, who writes contemporary and paranormal M/M romance. My books have flawed characters, happy endings, and lots of heart.
A Daddy for Christmas 3: Rowan is a heart warming, steamy, insta-love romance, with a grumpy boss falling for his ray-of-sunshine employee with a push from a little forced proximity! Damon and Rowan had sweet heat, deep connection, and all the feels! I very much enjoyed seeing these two as they navigated the path to their HEA. I was left feeling heart happy!
A Daddy for Christmas 3: Rowan by Colette Davison is part of the A Daddy for Christmas series season 3. This is the story of Rowan and Damon. I loved their story. Their story was sweet, sexy, full of feels and very well written.
A DADDY FOR CHRISTMAS: ROWAN is part of the multi-author series of almost the same name. I'll let you figure that part out!
Damon is co-owner of a sex-toy business, usually run by his brother, Nigel. Damon took the week before Christmas off from work to avoid the stress, but Nigel had other ideas, so Damon got called in just before Christmas, and to top things off, also had to attend a charity fancy-dress ball in the middle of nowhere on Nigel's behalf. Not only did he not want to go, but that also meant he would spend time with Rowan, Nigel's driver, whom he was attracted to but was off-limits as an employee. Rowan, on the other hand, is prepared to use anything and everything to help him gain time with Damon, even a freak snowstorm.
This is a fast-paced novella, where most of the longing has already happened. Rowan was a little too bratty, too forceful/manipulative, for my liking, but it ticked Damon's boxes, so that's the main thing. There is plenty of heat, even in a snowstorm, that continues afterwards.
If you've read any of Ms Davison's Kinky Housemates series (highly recommended!), then you may recognise some of the names that pop up here. It was great to see them again!
Overall, this is a forced proximity, Scrooge-Christmas story with plenty of heat to keep you warm. Recommended by me.

Damon wants nothing to do with Christmas, but when his brother disappears on a last‑minute holiday and leaves him to run their business, he’s forced into the chaos he hoped to avoid. The only small perk is borrowing his brother’s luxury car — and the relentlessly cheerful driver, Rowan, whose optimism slowly chips away at Damon’s grumpy exterior. When a sudden snowstorm leaves them stranded together with no rescue in sight, Damon can’t let Rowan freeze. As they huddle for warmth, Damon discovers a side of Rowan that reveals they have far more in common than he ever imagined. Their boss–employee dynamic blurs, replaced by unexpected chemistry and a growing Daddy/little tension neither of them can ignore. One night in a snowed‑in car changes everything — but once the storm passes, Damon must decide whether what sparked between them is just a moment… or something he wants to claim for good.
I enjoyed this story with the undercurrent of joy as a form of intimacy — Rowan’s optimism becomes a gentle invitation for Damon to feel again. I also liked that the Daddy/little dynamic emerged not from kink alone, but from emotional compatibility — Damon’s protectiveness met Rowan’s need for safety and warmth. I also liked that their intimacy bloomed in a moment of crisis when pretenses melted and truth surfaced. Easy to read and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like DDLB dynamic.
A very steamy Christmas romance for Rowan! Damon is stuck having to work when his brother jets off for the holidays, leaving him in charge. Not one for festivities, or enjoying the season, he's not happy about it but can't complain about the sunshine that is Rowan being his driving. There's not even any complaints when they get stuck in a blizzard in the car and have to, somehow, keep warm. Rowan isn't exactly shy but he's been admiring Damon from afar since he started working for Elevated as a driver. He's getting to do what he loves, driving amazing cars, and gets some perks from the job too. It's fun reading Rowan slowly thaw through Damon's chilly exterior but the heat that those two build, it's no surprise! Damon is so good with and to him, and some would say it was meant to happen! Get ready for some smexy times with a grumpy Daddy and not at all bratty boy who knows how to get what he wants. A very enjoyable festive read with some kinks to spice things up. I received an ARC and am happily giving a review.
This book is part of the multi-author Daddy for Christmas 3 series. Each book features a different couple. This is the story of Damon and Rowan. Damon co-owns a business with his brother. The same brother who has jetted off on a last minute holiday leaving Damon to run things. Damon is a Grumpy daddy who isn't really into the festive season. His default setting seems to be pessimistic. Using his brother's car and driver seems fair to him. Rowan loves working for Elevated as a driver. He gets to drive amazing cars and he occasionally sees his crush client Damon. Rowan is a little and sees the sunny side of situations. When they get trapped together in a snowstorm, Rowan's sunshine starts to thaw Damon's walls. This is their story. I received a complimentary advanced review copy of this book from the author and I am voluntarily leaving a review. I really enjoyed this book. It is a sweet and cute holiday read.
I know the holiday season has past, but this book is a low angst, joyful Daddy/boy read that keeps the holiday spirit alive...
Apologies to the author, this book languished on my kindle because I forgot to add it to my reading list, but let me say that it's still fresh almost 3 weeks after the holidays...
Combining some of my favourite tropes - grumpy/sunshine, work crush, forced proximity, age gap, and of course Daddy/boy, this tale of insta-love hits you right in your feels and gives you that dopamine hit of queer joy that you need in this troubled time. Rowan is adorable and exactly what Damon needs to unfreeze his heart and experience a happy holiday.
If you haven't read Rowan yet, add it to your TBR today and let it melt your heart just a little... it's a quick read and will definitely put a smile on your face.
I enjoyed reading Rowan and Damon’s story. It has several tropes that I really like including grumpy/sunshine, boss/employee, forced proximity and age gap that doesn’t keep saying “no we shouldn’t do this.” Rowan works for Damon’s brother, not directly for Damon at the sex toy company they co-own, but Damon still feels like it’s a bit wrong for them to get together.
Getting trapped in a Rolls Royce was a new take on the forced proximity trope and I loved it. 😊 This book had just the right amount of kink for me for a holiday story. The sexy time was hot AF but the overall vibe of the story for me was really sweet and a nice quick read.
An advanced copy of this book was provided to me at my request; my review was voluntary and not influenced by the author.
This was such a lovely and heartwarming Christmas story. Damon is not a Christmas person and had planned to hide in his flat for a week but when his brother jets off on holiday suddenly he's forced to run the business he co owns with his brother. It means he can make use of his brother's driver Rowan. Rowan has had a crush on Damon for a while and when they get caught in a snow storm his feelings come out when they have to keep warm in the car. It turns out there's a lot of chemistry and potential between them. They end up spending Christmas together and Damon even gets to appreciate Rowan's love for Christmas. I thought it was a sweet and steamy story. only negative thing was it made me miss snowy winters
If you’re looking for tropes, Rowan has them in spades. And, quite frankly , some of my favorite tropes. You got a rich daddy and snowed in, which who doesn’t love a good snowed in at Christmas time? Damon and his brother own the toy company and Rowen is Damon’s brother’s driver. Rowen is driving Damon to an out of town Christmas party when they get snowed in on the side of the road and have to figure out a way to keep themself occupied…which they do. This leads to some time at Christmas together (none of it at the costume party that they missed being snowed in). There are cameos from other friends (Rubin and his guys from the Housemates series, excellent. Highly recommend). All in all a cute Christmas read. 3.5 stars rounding up for good use of snowed in.
Rowan gets his Christmas wish when a snowstorm strands him and his crush on the side of the road. And what better way to make a move than the desperate need to keep each other warm!
This is a fast-paced, heart-warming, and very steamy romance of a boy and a daddy finding their one.
His (kind of) boss is his grumpy daddy dream come true. And thankfully, Damon feels the same for Rowan. Finally finding the boy who is perfect for him; happy, lovely (with a touch of bratty) Rowan not just brings him love, but also returns his love of the season.
Rowan is a cute brat and it works for me and obviously for Damon. I think there’s a story about Nigel too. So I’m totally interested in reading that one. I loved this quick escape into a snowstorm in this out of the “A Daddy for Christmas” series. Rowan is totally worth the read.
“Thank you, Author Colette Davison, for providing this book for review consideration via Gay Book Promotions. All opinions are my own.”
OH...... WOW......... Absolutely Brilliant I loved Rowan A Daddy for Christmas by Colette Davison could not put it down its so heartwarming with a grumpy boss Damon being stranded in a blizzard with is ray of sunshine driver Rowan he brings out the daddy in him and he's such a cute boy things heat up when they have to keep warm and it's sexy and hot these two are amazing together I recommend so much.
Sweet and spicy holiday romance. Rowan and Damon attraction to each other was explosive and both got what they wanted for the holidays...a forever daddy/boy relationship. I loved how they had that lil push and pull in the beginning and then all was good when both realize what they had right in front of them. If you like grumpy/sunshine this is a good one for you.
I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I knew I would like this romance when grumpy Damon was self-aware enough to dress as Ebenezer Scrooge for a party. Of course he was destined to fall for Rowan, a ball of sunshine who loved Christmas. These two turned keeping each other warm in a snowed-in car into a nice love story, and I really enjoyed it. Sweet and sexy, with fast cars, Christmas decor, and adult toys thrown into the mix - what's not to love?
This is a sweet, short, fastpaced, insta love holiday story. If you're familiar with Collette Davidson stories you will recognize a few characters from Kinky house mate series. The book does stand alone perfectly and ends with a HEA. If you like snowed in, forced proximity, Scrooge, a mild kink, boss/employee, and lots of heat, this is for you.
I've read several books by Colette Davison, and while I liked this book, it is not one of my favorites. I don't know what it was. It kind of felt like I was missing something. That said, it is a good story with great characters. The emotions and characters are good. I don't know what it was about this one though. 4 stars and I do recommend giving this one a go.
I enjoy the Daddy for Christmas books, and must admit Ioved Rowan. Rowan is a lovable sunshiny character, the driver for his boss Nigel, but Nigel decides to up n off at Christmas, Leaving Rowan to drive for Damon. To get Damon to the Ball on time, but end up stuck in the Snow. Shenanigans in the snow. A Daddy n a Bratty Boy.
Colette Davison has never written a book that I did not love. Damon and Rowan were absolutely adorable. I love a grumpy Daddy and a sunshine, bratty boy and Damon and Rowan gave that. This book was short, but it was good and well done. The development was smooth and the writing was top-tier. I loved it.
I love the way Rowan just bursts into Damon’s life. He brings so much Christmas cheer. The start of their relationship may have been a bit dramatic but it seems to have worked out well for both of them.
Cute premise and a quick, easy read; definitely more focused on the relationship development than the characters, though it works, considering the series.
Stranded together in the snow, grumpy Damon finds himself drawn to his his ray of sunshine employee Rowan. Being forced together stirs the Daddy in Damon and things heat up quickly between them. But it’s afterwords that they will have navigate to get their HEA.
A fantastic holiday, forced proximity, boss/ employee, grumpy/ sunshine, Daddy/boy story with high heat and some familiar characters.
This was so good and it went fast. I didn’t think it would go that fast but I was so excited about it. I enjoyed every second of it. It’s sweet and steamy you will love it if you love the combo.
