I should have died. But Sebastian saved me from a hit-and-run accident.
And then he revealed the truth, one I was beginning to he’s a vampire. Powerful, obsessive, and impossibly possessive. Suddenly, everything I thought I knew about the world—and about myself—changed. His blood has awakened abilities I never I can read minds now… and see ghosts.
As our bond grows, so does the danger. Rogue vampires are hunting humans in New York, and Lucien—relentless, vengeful, obsessed—won’t stop until he has me. Sebastian is my protector, my passion, my obsession… but can I survive the darkness surrounding us both?
At Ravenwood House, desire is intoxicating. Obsession is deadly. And I’ve never wanted anything more than him. - This is book 2 in a four-book series. You should read the books in order. If you loved A Discovery of Witches, Interview with a Vampire, and Dark Shadows, you'll love this! There is a cliffhanger.
Alexa was saved from near death by Sebastian and his secrets are revealed to her. I thought the relationship between the two evened out quite a bit in this installment. Alexa begins to realize just what Sebastian is and what it means for her and their relationship. In addition, Lucien is stepping up his game, trying to insinuate himself into Alexa’s life in his quest to bring down Sebastian. I thought Alexa should have clued in a little sooner that Lucien was bad news, but she seemed to be willing to forgive him. I also was very concerned about a scene that takes place between Alexa and Lucien, and hope that there will be a major trigger warning because of it. I personally don’t think the triggering part of the scene was necessary and found it disturbing. Despite that I did find the story interesting and Sebastian has started to come alive. I’ll be checking out the next in the series.

I am enjoying this romantasy series with good/bad vampires and humans. Sure, this is only the second book, but it is addictively intriguing and hard to put down! Unfortunately, you really can’t read the book by itself or else you will be completely lost. This book picks right back up after Alexa drinks Sebastian’s blood, yet she isn’t a vampire. So, trying to figure that out is puzzling. Also, this book ends on a cliffhanger. There is some mystique about Sebastian Ravenwood. He’s dangerous but loyal to Alexa and, lastly, quite obsessed with her that it might not be entirely healthy even for her. I don’t blame Alexa for feeling scared. I think Sebastian also needs to see a therapist too. I am fearing for Alexa and thinking maybe Lucien isn’t all that bad. Well, of course, I will have to read the next book just to see what happens and if Alexa can escape or if she will fall for Lucien’s charms.
In book 2 of Obsession for Apt 7A everything kicks up several notches. More danger is added for Alexa. Also Alexa and Sebastian's bond is growing adding to their growing love and sensual connection. Adding the perfect amount of steam to the story. Very exciting and dangerous. I am enjoying the suspense, intrigued by how Alexa is embracing the history of Sebastian and learning the Vampire history. The villains are making their moves. Oh and let's not forget there is a delightful ghost Henry. I devoured this book. Loving how the story line is taking the reader to more suspenseful events. All the characters are fantastic and intriguing. Jade does not disappoint. I highly recommend this book and this series. In order to understand the story these books must be read starting with book 1.
Book two cranks up the tension even more! Alexa and Sebastian are finally giving in to the pull between them, and their connection is as intense and addictive as ever. But just when things seem to settle, along comes Lucian from 7C—whose fixation on Alexa takes a darker, more unsettling turn. I loved how this book balanced the romance with the creeping sense of danger. The chemistry between Alexa and Sebastian is still scorching, but the added twist of another obsession circling her kept me on edge the whole time. It’s steamy, suspenseful, and just the right amount of chilling. A perfect follow-up if you loved the dark vibes of book one!
Book two definitely sharpens its fangs. Alexa is still reeling from that whole “oh surprise, he’s a vampire” thing, but now she’s seeing ghosts and dodging creeps with blood issues. Sebastian gets more possessive in that brooding, old-world way that’s equal parts hot and exhausting. Lucien’s obsession is the kind of unhinged that makes you want to yell at Alexa to run, yet you keep reading because you know she won’t. The pacing hits harder this time, even when the romance slows down just to tease you. The cliffhanger was evil but effective. I’m already plotting my emotional recovery before diving into book three.
This is a great continuation. Sebastian and Alexa get blood bonded when he saves her life. They are now mates. Lucien is trying to charm Alexa and make her his, not knowing that Sebastian has already done that. We meet a lot of different characters who have been helpful to Alexa, including her new part-time assistant. We will just have to wait and see what Sebastian does since Lucien has kidnapped Alexa.
This one took me a minute to get through. The storyline didn’t quite pull me in like the first of the series. The growing romance between Alexa and Sebastian is a bit of a slow burn for me. I love the sense of danger that creeps in throughout the book and the cliffhanger has me ready to continue the story. I can’t wait to see how this ends!
Vampire issues continue as Sebastian and Alexa get closer. Lucian is still plotting his revenge on Sebastian to the point he abuses Alexa by compelling her to forget that he visits her in apartment 7A. Plus he is escalating his plan in the last chapter to break Sebastian and Alexa bond.

After saving Alexa's life, Sebastian reveals the truth, and their bond deepens despite the danger. Meanwhile, Lucien is plotting his next move as he waits patiently for the right time. It was heartpounding and shocking as the masquerade revealed another cliffhanger to keep you on edge.

Ok. So much had happened! I need to hurry up and read book 3! I'm on pins and needles waiting to find out what happens! Lucien gives me the creeps. I how Sebastian does something about him soon!
This is book 2 of the series and I definitely enjoyed and recommend. So far I am loving this writers books. I am looking forward to starting book 3 of the series
I loved this one just as much as the first book in this series. The relationship between broody vampire Sebastian and his human tenant and obsession Alexa heats up and so do the supernatural dangers surrounding her. This ends on a cliffhanger, so you will want to have book 3 in hand ready to go!
