Never have I ever… Nope, I’ve got nothing. Especially now that I’m bonded with four different men, all of us ready to carve new pathways to the far realms. I would like to think things couldn’t get any stranger, but the biggest mystery of my life is yet to be unraveled. I may not yet understand my magic, but I’m determined to save my life, my city, and everyone I hold dear. Never have I ever had the fate of not just the earth realm, but all realms resting on my shoulders. Oh wait… I do.

I just loved this series with all it's quirky characters, magic, and hot steamy sex, and this book 6 which brings us to the end of the series, is awesome. Eva gets to see her grandfather hold her mother with a blade to her throat, however he gives her the realm breaker, and lets her go in order to fix the mess her mother had caused. Eva together with her bonded mates, Crispin, Gabriel, Mistral and Sebastian set out to re-open the pathways between the realms. They realise that if the darkness threatening them is once more released they would all be in danger, however Eva soon realises the dark was coming for her. She was a conduit, being half-celestial, and finally she realises that her job was not to battle the darkness, but to serve as a bridge, to bring about balance with the light. The light she and her mates provided through hot and steamy sex. I just love that all of the guys and their realms got their pathways, enabling those who wanted to return home to do so freely. I love that Sebastian and Penelope got to sort out their sibling rivalry troubles, and that Eva forgave her mother and grandfather in the end. Most of all I loved the cute character of Ringo who though tiny compared to the guys, often came through for Eva. This is a book for an adult reader who loves hot steamy sex on the page as well as magic and adventure with a kick ass heroine and hunky mates to round it all off.
I enjoyed the world the author created. The pacing was sometimes a little quick where it felt like you could barely catch your breath between the FMC getting pulled in a million directions on a daily basis. I think the reason i would give this series 3ish stars is because the relationships and romance felt pretty casual. It barely felt like most of them were dating the FMC by the end. I didn't feel much of an emotional or intimate connection develop between the FMC and each of the guys (esp. Crispin and Sebastian). Even Mistral felt distant by the end. I wanted to see them create deeper connections beyond the conduit bond and the sex. It just didn't have enough of those small and quiet moments where the FMC would build those connections. Maybe a little bit in the first books with Mistral and Gabriel but it fell off to focus more on advancing the plot and unraveling the mystery. I guess I would classify this more as urban fantasy genre where romance is more of a sub-plot.
It wasn’t bad, it was just perfectly… fine. I guess I wanted more depth across the board for the conclusion of a series in the way of character depth and development, romantic and relationship chemistry both in individual and group dynamics, and plot action. More so, the spice was very rinse and repeat. The book wasn’t bad, but I’ve been on a string of really good reads lately so it just felt underwhelming and just run-of-the-mill basic in comparison and not an epic conclusion to their story. Honestly, I really wanted to give it 2-2.5 stars, but there was nothing really to fault it over either other than it just didn’t hit the spot or match up to the quality of other recent reads. 🤷🏻♀️ So take this review with a grain of salt, as I could very well be the problem. I totally own that.
I'm so sorry to see this story ending.. It was so much fun, and so creative. I could have happily read another 6 books about these characters. Highly recommend reading the previous 5 books before this one. It ended very nicely. I hope we get a little something with these characters a few years forward at some point. Just so we can revisit them!
5 Star - Couldn't put this book down. Its stay up late reading and be late to work good. 4 Stars - Couldn't put this book down but I still got a goodnights sleep 3 Stars - An enjoyable read that took me a few days to a week to finish 2 Stars - An okay book that I struggled to get through in places - next book is still on my TBR list 1 Stars - DNF
Ok book 6 is a good ending. Very HEA, everyone gets what they want, somethings make no sense character wise but it is wrapped up in a nice little bow. I was worried about the length of the story but it works. I think the story could have been fleshed out a little though.
