He’s a mature, grumpy, battle-scarred alien lumberjack who swore he’d never take a mate. She’s a stubborn, cheerful human with a limp, a sketchbook, and a deadline.
Methic spends his days guarding the sacred autumn forest of Asemsa. He rarely comes to the colony, especially during mating season when the other Majaki warriors like him compete for wives. But when a curvy little human sneaks into his woods at night, he discovers the thought of someone else claiming her has him sharpening the blade of his axe.
Jeneva knows she’s about to be cast out of the colony for being “useless" after her accident as soon as the fall festival is over. But when she meets a towering alien who tastes like pumpkin spice when he kisses her, useless is the last thing she feels.
She just wanted to sketch the glowing trees but he’s about to show her how it feels to be thoroughly devoured like a pumpkin pie.
Grumpy Alien Lumberjack is a cozy, spicy alien romance featuring a sunshine heroine, a grumpy alien warrior with an axe and an attitude, and a “touch her and die” promise that makes fall on Asemsa hotter than ever.
It's a good story and I like Jeneva and Methic. I think this is the first female that has a physical disability and showed Methic still fell in love with her anyway. Liz Paffel’s description of Methic and his home was a person and place I'd like to visit. Her description of everything helped me visualize sso much easier. Hopefully, there will be more books about Asemsa and the Majaki warriors.
The first book about a grumpy alien Santa warrior on Asemsa was do awesome I immediately got this second book about an alien lumberjack who falls in love with a disabled human and I am overjoyed at what a great story this is. Please, oh please have more Asemsa warrior stories! Spice and sweet sexiness, WooHoo!!!
Jeneva a has finally escaped the ice planet only to be held in a cold cell on Asemsa until she can be returned. However she never leaves and instead finds her way to a forest where a Majarki lumberjack gives her a reason to stay and himself a reason to love.
Sometimes, you have to be reminded that just because one dream ends doesn't mean you are done. Jeneva was reminded to dream another dream through her passion and Methic.
