Jennifer Bishop doesn’t do second chances—especially not with the man who has her name inked across his chest.
Once, Cade Summers was her everything. Rugged. Brilliant. Untouchable. Until one lie shattered the trust she built her world around. She walked away, vanished into the dark, and made damn sure he couldn’t find her.
Now? She’s an elite executive assistant, with a reputation for solving impossible problems. So when a 3AM delivery crisis puts her face-to-face with Cade—the man she left years ago—she’s ready to take the gear and run.
Except he’s not letting her go. Not again.
Cade never stopped looking. Now that she’s standing in his shop—new hair, new name, same fire—he’s all in. He’ll let her have the damn package, but he’s coming with her. And this time? He’s not playing fair.
Because Cade has a secret: he’s been reading every word of Jennifer’s anonymous romance novels. Stories filled with things she’s never told anyone. The flowers she wishes someone would bring her. The coffee order no one ever remembered. The kind of love she no longer believes exists.
D.V. Cole is the author of contemporary billionaire biker romances packed with characters you’ll swoon over and slow-burn spice that will leave you gasping for air. She lives somewhere between sweet tea and sass with her husband, four kids, two cats, three dogs, and a squad of ducks—and often escapes the madness by hiding in the bathroom with a good book. When she’s not writing, she’s usually reading or cooking something that may or may not get devoured before it cools.
Cade and Jennifer / Genivieve. They were madly in love 7 years ago. She saw a situation that looked bad but he was protecting a friend’s gf. She disappeared and he has been searching ever since.
She had him tattoo her name on his chest and promised to do the same. She then faked cramps, left the picture of him and girl in the bathroom and left him.
No gut punch moment since it’s all just told.
She is the right hand woman for a billionaire. He’s the MMC in Faceless Devotion.
28% in and I like it. Only complaint is the same phrase is repeated multiple times. . He’s celibate for the 7 years he looks for her! Only hiccup is he says he went on dates that first year to get over her, but compared them all to her and realized no use.

slightly cringy but cute aside from the misunderstanding it's very fast paced insta love everything flows quickly if you're into that stuff then this is the read for you.
I absolutely loved this story. I am so happy and honored to be an ARC reader and get to read the amazing stories D.V. Cole is coming up. I’m not really big on second chance romance books but this one was so good it might have changed my mind. The way the characters came back together and their journey was written so beautifully. I absolutely loved it and cannot wait for the next book in the series.
I love a good second chance romance. This is in one of my top 10. I wish the story was a little longer but I loved how Cade and Jennifer came back together after years of being apart from miscommunication. The CD scene was my favorite but I loved everything he did to win her back. I was happy thay she let him back in. You could honestly tell they were meant to be. As always thank you for the ARC read D.V. I look forward to the next book.
This was really cute! I loved their history & their story! How obsessed with her he was, the pictures, reading her books, making a list of everything! 😍 Swoon worthy!
I absolutely loved this book: the second Chance romance is beautiful, I literally could not put it down. It was amazing. I loved the way the hero wooed the heroine. I also fell in love with the CD scene! What a beautiful story! So glad I got the chance to read this as an ARC reader. Thank you DV Cole!

This was a short and sweet second-chance romance! It had the best kind of groveling and Cade looking for her the entire 7 years they were apart was perfection. I loved that they both got to grow separately as people and discover who they were before they found their way back to one another! I also liked that there was a bonus epilogue for what happened after Genevieve left Cade all those years ago and how she became Jennifer—it was a nice little addition to the story. I do wish this was a little longer but it was a great side story to the main series and hopefully there will be more from some of the other side characters. As always, thank you to D.V. Cole for the ARC copy and can’t wait for the next book!
Update: I would recommend reading Priceless Princess before this just to give more background to the characters in this book.
Personally, this book was not my favorite. I loved some parts of the story, such as Cade using the details from Jennifer’s books to win her back. However I felt a lot of things were redundant or not fully explained. Like the fact their relationship ended form a lie was said about six times within the first few chapters and then several more times throughout the story. The other thing being the fact the woman who Cade was helping also wanted to talk with her but then that scene was never fleshed out just ‘oh ok dinner Thursday.’ And then nothing else. Then there was the ‘neice.’ Why did Jennifer feel responsible? How did the sister die? Why was that how her responsibility? I understand having friends that become family and their family becomes your family but that was never really delved into and expanded, which I feel could have happened if the fact their relationship ended on a lie wasn’t brought up as much. Then there was the fact she basically went into wit sec to hide herself from him, I honestly felt that was more on the extreme side. I was honestly hoping that maybe she had witnessed something or been part of something in her first time away from Cade that made it a requirement for her to change, but I don’t think helping her boss escape a crazed stalker quite cuts it as she easily could have gotten away from him, he didn’t know who she was, the two women could have just split ways. I don’t know I just feel a lot of things were left unexplained or could have been different. Loved the chemistry between Jennifer and Cade though and like I said him using her details to get to her was enjoyable. Still looking forward to future books!!

⭐ 5/5 Stars — Raw, Romantic, and Utterly Addictive ❤️🔥
This book ruined me in the best possible way. It’s the kind of second-chance romance that grabs your heart, twists it, and refuses to let go until the very last page.
Jennifer Bishop and Cade Summers… where do I even start? Their story is packed with long-buried pain, simmering tension, and the kind of chemistry that never fades — no matter how much time passes. Jennifer’s strong, capable, and fiercely guarded, the kind of heroine you root for instantly. And Cade? He’s the perfect blend of rugged and tender, determined to earn back her trust no matter how many walls she builds.
The emotional depth here is incredible. It’s not just a romance — it’s about forgiveness, vulnerability, and what it means to truly see and be seen by someone. The fact that Cade has secretly been reading her anonymous romance novels (and learning every unspoken piece of her heart) just made me melt completely. It’s intimate, heartbreaking, and so beautifully written.
The writing itself is sharp, emotional, and full of those small, powerful moments that make you pause — the stolen glances, the quiet confessions, the little details that remind you why second-chance love stories hit so hard.
If you love second chances, slow-burn tension, hurt/comfort, and love that refuses to die, this book will completely wreck you — and you’ll thank it for doing so.
💔✨ Cade and Jennifer’s story is tender, passionate, and full of healing. Easily a 5-star read and one of my favourite romances of the year.
3 ⭐️/1🌶️ A second-chance romance where Jennifer thought she was betrayed, until she learns the real story of what happened seven years ago when she ran away, changed her identity, and thought she’d never see Cade ever again— until they run into each other. Cade won’t let her go this time.
This is a sweet and fluffy romance for when you’re in the mood for some good feels. There’s no misunderstanding (besides the breakup 7 years ago), no other conflict, and just a sweet second chance story.
This short read will have you smiling. That said, I could have used a little more meat to the story, a few more scenes with some of the side characters, and a little more backstory. Also, if she’s trying to never be found, I’m not sure why she’s living in the same area as her ex. So the premise is a little unbelievable. We do get some bonus stories in the end, and you should definitely read those. But I think it could have been fleshed out a bit more.
I absolutely love Cade and how sweet he is. All his romantic gestures make you swoon. And I love how strong and resilient Jennifer is. She doesn’t need a man in her life, but she definitely missed Cade!
So I would recommend this as a pallet cleanser. The spice was minimal and somewhat undescriptive. The happily ever after comes before page 100. I enjoyed this short read.
This is the second book I’ve read by D.V. Cole and I loved this one so much. I was already so eager for it when I finished Faceless Devotions and there was a little teaser of it there. I was so invested in Cade and Jennifer’s story. The Bonus Chapter of how Genevieve became Jennifer was a great addition.
However, my only issue with the story was Genevieve lived her life running and hiding like she had been in an abusive relationship and that wasn’t the case at all. She had her heart broken due to a misunderstanding not abuse, so when she felt fear or something, I felt it was a smidge of an over reaction, because Cade’s intentions were never to physically harm her.
Now her anger, her feelings of betrayal, valid. But the moments where she was in panic to the point it almost made it seem like she was running from someone that physically harmed her, it just left me feeling like there was more coming or there should be more. Admittedly, in the end, erasing her old life just because of heartbreak was intense and a smidge of an over reaction, however, the book itself was still great. I loved it all around, I just didn’t understand such fear or need to hide so in depth.
Either way, I’m ready for the next installment of this series. I can’t wait.
This is the second book I’ve read by D.V. Cole, and I absolutely loved it. After finishing Faceless Devotions—with its intriguing teaser—I was eagerly anticipating this one, and it did not disappoint!!! I was completely invested in Cade and Jennifer’s story, and the bonus chapter revealing how Genevieve became Jennifer was a fantastic addition. Her anger and feelings of betrayal were absolutely valid and well portrayed. The moments which she started to peel back those layers of protection she had built over the years from the way Cade was showing her the love he never stopped having for her was beautiful. I felt everything she was thinking and feeling! Hearing how she had buried the love she had for him because she may have misinterpreted the betrayal was a moving moment of self-reflection. Absolutely loved the moment she stepped into his apartment and it was filled with photos of their love. Ultimately, her choice to erase her entire past over heartbreak came to a realization that maybe she overreacted, and maybe their love deserved a second chance! Inked Reminder was excellent. I thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish. I'm already looking forward to the next installment in the series—I can't wait to see where the story goes next!

This is Cade and Jennifer's second chance story. Jennifer is Archers assistant. She is the best at what she does and when a text late at night pops up its not different. She gets her task set up which is getting riding gear late at night and having it delivered bright and early the next morning. One problem the delivery service Archer uses is a little backed up so she has to pick it up herself. No problem at all. Just show up grab the package hand it off to the delivery company and leave. She shows up to the place and is let in the door opens and who is standing there. Cade her ex boyfriend she has been hiding from for seven years. Cade has spent seven years and insane amounts of money looking for the very woman that now stands in from of him going by a different name. He knows its her no matter the hair cut and dye job or new name and flashy clothes. He has always loved her and his mistake he never got the chance to apologize for is burning on his tongue. Seven long years and he won't loose her again. He does everything he can to show her he loves her and is truly sorry for the past.
Jennifer doesn’t do second chances—until Cade, the man with her name inked across his chest, walks back into her life. He never stopped looking. And he’s been reading her secret romance novels, learning everything she’s never told anyone.
This book is emotional, raw, and swoony as hell. Cade is the perfect mix of rugged and tender, Jennifer is fierce and vulnerable, and together? They’re explosive.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ If you love second-chance romances with spice, heartache, healing, and a hero who refuses to give up, Inked Reminder will leave its mark on you.
“He tattooed her name across his chest… and she walked away.” 💔🔥 “The billionaire biker who never stopped searching for the one that got away.” 🏍️✨ “She writes romance in secret. He’s been reading every word.” 📖❤️ “Second chances aren’t her thing—until he shows up at 3AM.” 🌙💥 “Raw, emotional, and hot enough to leave a mark.” 🖤🔥
Too short! I love this author and their work, but compared to their debut release a couple months ago and this one, i was a bit disappointed. It was much shorter than the first, which is unfortunate because the writing is so good! I got through it too quickly.
Also unfortunately, i feel like there wasn't enough room for the story to be as flushed out as it could have been. The ARC readers were given access to some bonus chapters (not sure if they are also in the final release) and i feel these should have been the opening of the novel. There is so much good information about the FMC in these chapters, and it helps flush out how she felt going through the main ordeal that causes all the drama and tension.
The scene where this ordeal is explained is also rushed! Give me the details, give me multiple perspective, what is the argument in the shop? All of this was missing. And because these details were missing, their reconnection felt too fast, too rushed, and not as deep or meaningful as it should have been considering all the considerate things the MMC was doing
Inked reminder is a short and sweet yet also an emotional story about a second-chance romance and hope in getting that second-chance. The book follows Jennifer Bishop who has spent the last years running away from the man who broke her heart and Cade who summers has spent those seven years trying to find her.
I would say Cade is definitely obsessed to the point where it definitely feels a little stalker-like. If that’s not something you would like to read about, then this book might not be for you. The book is fast-paced and it doesn’t take long for the romance and spice to start! Although this book is an open-door romance, I would still say that it’s only 🌶️🌶️ given that the scenes often focus on the deep emotions of the characters rather than the actions itself. I do have to be honest and say I liked the first book a lot better but this one was by no means bad. It still was a fun and short biker romance filled with lot’s of swoon-worthy moments!
Inked Reminder by D.V. Cole is a heart-stopping, beautifully written second-chance romance that will have you laughing, aching, and swooning all in one breath. It’s the kind of story that sneaks under your skin and stays there, raw, emotional, and unforgettable.
Jennifer Bishop is fierce, capable, and heartbreakingly guarded, the kind of heroine you root for from page one. Cade Summers? He’s the perfect mix of strength, devotion, and vulnerability, the kind of man who refuses to give up on the woman who still owns his heart. Their chemistry is undeniable, their banter perfectly balanced with years of unresolved tension, and their reunion is pure emotional gold.
D.V. Cole crafts a story that’s not just about rekindled love, but about forgiveness, growth, and the courage to face the past. Every detail, from the inked reminder of Jennifer’s name to Cade’s secret connection to her hidden world of words, adds layers of depth and intimacy that make this book so much more than a romance.
Inked Reminder by D.V. Cole is an emotional, gripping, and deeply personal story that pulls you in from the very first chapter. The characters feel raw and real — especially the way their pasts intertwine with their present struggles. The author does an amazing job of balancing pain, healing, and romance in a way that feels honest and heartfelt.
The writing is smooth and vivid, and you can feel the emotion in every scene. There are moments that completely break you and others that piece you back together. My only small critique is that a few parts felt a little rushed, and I wanted just a bit more depth in certain emotional transitions.
Overall, Inked Reminder is a powerful story about love, forgiveness, and rediscovering who you are after loss. If you like stories that tug on your heart and leave a mark, this one’s definitely worth reading. 💔✨
Inked Reminder by D.V. Cole is a fast-paced, emotional second-chance romance that had me hooked from the start. Jennifer and Cade’s chemistry was everything—raw, real, and utterly addicting.
I loved the dual POV and how deeply we got to understand both characters. Cade never stopped looking for her, and the way he used her anonymous romance novels to remind her of who they were? Swoon. Rugged, tender, and just a little obsessed—he’s exactly the kind of hero you can’t help but root for. Jennifer is fierce, Independent, and vulnerable, and the bonus chapter showing how Genevieve became Jennifer was such a great addition.
Definitely recommend if you’re into heartfelt stories with swoony heroes and just the right touch of angst!
Thank you, D.V., for the ARC! All opinions are my own.
This was a sweet second-chance novella with no third act breakup; I loved it. Our MMC, Cade, never stops looking for the woman he lost. Our FMC, Jennifer, leaves him in the dust after the betrayal she witnessed. He looks for her for SEVEN years. I'm sad for the time they lost together, but they grew in their time apart and if they can forgive, can appreciate each other more now. I don't think you could get more swoon-worthy that Cade in this novella. He sees her, really sees her and all she does. Even though she ran, she's never really stopped thinking about him. And he definitely has never stopped searching for her. And now he's found her. If you've read Faceless Devotion, you will see the cross-over characters....any maybe even locations. I'm excited for the next up too - love the little bonuses we sneak peek into future possibilities.
Utterly addicted to this series so far. I devoured this book in less than a day!
Jennifer and Cades story hits all the right notes if you are looking for feel good second chance romance that has no third act break up.
The groveling by Cade made me swoon. Him listening to Jennifer wants and needs through her writing, then LISTENING TO HER - really did it for me.
“…I can’t stop thinking about the way he said ‘our name’, like it was something precious. Like it was something worth keeping.”
Their story will have you smiling and having all the feels - no doubt. I could have had more to Jennifer’s back story on why she hid her identity and went to such lengths for her ‘niece’. But you could see how big her heart was through her actions and reading how Cade was in awe of her was so sweet.
Loved this couple and cannot wait to see what comes next!

I am a sucker for a good second chance romance and that is what is delivered here on a silver platter! Cane and Jennifer are both written really well. Jennifer is the girl that left Cane 7 years ago and he has not stopped searching for her. One day she walks into the shop that Cane owns to pick up something for her boss, Archer Sullivan. Cane knows it's her right away and decides to insert himself into her life again whether she likes it or not. He does some groveling and she decides to take a chance and take him back. Oh and did I mention that she is an author and uses a variation of his name as her pen name? Oh and he reads all of her books which he realizes is their story told over and over again. #swoon I hope you enjoy this one as much as I did. ❤️❤️
Quote: “He’s been studying me. Learning who I’ve become through the fictional women I’ve created. The worst part? It’s working.” Rating : ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 Spice: 🌶️.5 Tropes: Second Chance , Billionaire Biker , Anonymous Romance Writer, Tattooed Hero , Emotional with a hint of spice.
I absolutely loved this book! It does move quickly which I love. This MMC Cade is a man that is very attentive when it comes to his lady. The way he reminds her how much fun they used to have and how much they loved each other was one of my favorite parts of the book. Not everything needs to be super spicy and in this book the way the two characters are able to connect in a different level is beyond beautiful. It’s more of an emotional connection than the physical connection.
I really enjoyed the message in this book and how we got a glimpse of how the main character battled with something we have all battled at some point in time weather male or female. The ability to allow ourselves to be loved especially after a difficult past is truly hard. I have been married ten years and it’s still hard for me to allow myself to be loved unconditionally like the two main characters. I also loved the hopeless romantic of the male main character I was always going awwww to his hopelessness at times. At first when starting to read this book I thought it was going to be another of the biker friends but it turning out to be his secretary’s background was a fun twist. I’m so excited to see what comes next!

Lovers who had to live through the heartbreaks of misunderstanding and miscommunication, finding their way back to each other. Falling all over again while still being in love with who they were before.
This was the perfect second chance. One with understanding more love than before. The way Genevieve stays true to her new self, the healing, strong, independent woman she had to learn how to be alone. Cade understanding her and accepting that he could love the new version of her and all that now comes with her. He didn’t try to overtake her new life but be the balance she needed.
Once again D.V Cole hits this one right on the head with the right amount of passion, groveling, understanding, and love.
What would you do if the man you ran from years ago suddenly was standing in front of you and all you can think about is your name he tattooed on his chest the day you ran?
Jennifer started her life over after she saw her boyfriend cheat on her and he lied about being in town, so she did what any level headed girl does she plotted revenge. Let’s get each others names tattooed on our bodies but you go first I have cramps, while Cade is in the chair she runs without a word to him about leaving. She changed her name, hair color, birthday, and state.
Now here we are 7 years later and Cade has finally found her in the last place he expected her to walk in, his motorcycle gear shop and he is not letting her leave again until he gets to say his peace.
All I can say is if you like billionaire motorcycle riding men who see beneath the surface and will do everything they can to take care of you, even if you don’t think you need taken care of. Then you need to read this book! Tension, spice, and plot what more can you ask for! Thank you D. V for the arc I adore the way you write and can’t wait to see what else you write!
I was glad to be a part of the ARC team for this one. I did the same for the first book and ended up buying it when it got released! This was a great addition to the first one. I really enjoyed the redemption arc if you will for Cade and Jen. Being able to overcome the miscommunication that happened and realize that you both spent that time pining away and never truly giving up hope. They fell right back into the swing of things while appreciating that they may have needed that time apart to grow. It was so sweet when she went to his place and saw all the pictures. There wasn’t any super big drama like a third act breakup or anything so it was a cute read with a HEA!

I wish this app had .5 capabilities. 5 stars means I would read it over and over again. 4 means I really liked it but, I would give it a 4.5 stars. It was quite enjoyable Had me wanting to ignore the world to devour it. I loved how Cade, the MMC, was so devoted to her that he kept his hunt up all that time for her. I love how the FMC, Genevieve/ Jennifer kept writing about him and starred him as her ideal man even though she felt he lied to her and spoiled their relationship.
2 chilies for spiciness. Would recommend if you like second chance relationships, motorcycle men, and men who learn and grow to make women happy they have them in their life.

The storyline was concise yet captivating, with an intensity that resonated throughout the pages. As a fan of second chance romances, I found the dynamic between the characters particularly engaging. The narrative effectively captured the magnetic attraction and emotional tension between them. It is always gratifying to encounter a story where characters demonstrate the maturity and insight to acknowledge and learn from their past mistakes. The moment of revenge was executed with remarkable flair, adding an exciting twist to the plot. Ultimately, the conclusion was both heartwarming and satisfying, leaving a lasting impression.
DV Cole did it again! I’m the first to admit that short books are usually an instant no- mostly because I dislike the feeling of just getting into a story and then it’s over. Somehow this short story sucked me right in just like her debut book and I was sat for the entire thing. I love a second chance romance when it’s well deserved … and it was in this case. The years spent apart with these two characters managed to make the anticipation that much sweeter for the reader. I loved the in depth characters on both sides- they both were strong in their own ways that brought them together versus creating more of a chasm between them. Can’t wait to see where the next book brings us!
