Elowen Merrow never asked to be summoned back to the court that betrayed her. After years in exile, she returns to find a realm divided, wards failing, and a Council eager to use her magic for their own ends. Caught between duty and desire, Elowen is pulled into a tangle of oaths, lies, and forbidden longing. Two men stand at her side, one bound by loyalty, the other by secrets, and both could shatter her future.
Some want her silenced.
Some want her bound.
Two will risk everything for her heart.
In a world bound by oaths and lies, survival means more than outlasting her enemies. It means choosing who she can trust, and who she must become, before the realm itself collapses around her. Whispers of the Shadow Crown is a romantasy of forbidden magic, betrayal, and the girl who refuses to remain forgotten.
How far will she go before the world remembers her name?”
Tabitha Revalee believes the best stories are born where shadows, love, and rebellion entwine. A lifelong daydreamer who spends her daylight hours in the corporate world, she saves her nights for writing about resilience and the power of found family. Whispers of the Shadow Crown is her debut novel, a story carried in her heart long before it reached the page. She makes her home in Charleston, South Carolina, where evenings are best spent with a book, herbal tea, and the laughter of those she loves most.
I loved this. It was a bit of a slow burn, but I absolutely loved the mystery and especially the love triangle. I don't usually annotate or highlight things but there were so many memorable lines throughout this book. Definitely a must-read if you like romantasy.
Writing Whispers of the Shadow Crown has been a journey filled with late nights, too much herbal tea, and a whole lot of heart. This story grew out of my love for fantasy, resilience, and the kind of found family that makes even the darkest moments feel survivable.
I won’t be leaving a star rating here (that part is yours!), but if you’ve read the book, I’d love for you to share your thoughts. Your reviews not only help other readers discover the story, but they remind me why I began writing in the first place.
Thank you for stepping into the shadows with me. I hope you find pieces of yourself, your courage, and your laughter tucked into these pages. 💜
