As I sit here to write this review, just know I am having a hard time seeing as I currently have tears in my eyes. This is something I didn't have on my bingo card for Sweet Salvation. Yes, Bella knows how to truly write an emotional book that will put you in all of your feels, but the way that I sobbed in this book. This one was truly a beautiful story and that is all I'm going to say before I spoil anything for you.
I say this with every new book that Bella releases but I truly do not know how she continues to do it. She writes some of the most beautiful stories. She has created this world that is such a comfort to me. It's truly like coming home to a nice warm hug (although this one did not give me a nice warm hug 👀). I feel like Bella is that one author who is able to write an emotionally charged book that will have you kicking your feet like a little school girl while delivering an engaging plot that will have you fill invested in a fictional world with characters that will make you believe in love. She wraps everything up in a nice little package with a bow. You never left thinking the story is incomplete, yes you are left wanting more because these books will make you feel good. But at the end of the day, Bella just delivers the perfect read every single time.
I truly loved everything about Sweet Salvation. I loved the plot and the turmoil that Olivia and Logan had to go through to finally get their HEA. I saw a lot of myself in Olivia. She's a boss babe who doesn't trust easily. She comes off as an ice queen and she doesn't let a lot of people into her inner circle. And then you have Logan who feels like he's not good enough for anyone to stay in his life. And the way that he takes a chance at letting Olivia in all while scared that she may not stay, ugh it had my heart. These two were perfect for each other. They had to work through their own personal demons but in the end, their love trumped it all.
Bella, as always, thank you for allowing me to be a part of this world. You truly will never understand how this series has changed my life in the best possible way. Keep them coming!
You should most definitely read this book if you like: - Marriage of Convenience - Hockey Romance - Single Dad - Found Family - Black Cat FMC - Top Tier Banter
* I would like to say a HUGE THANK YOU to Bella Matthews for allowing me the absolute pleasure of reading Sweet Salvation as an ARC in exchange for my honest thoughts, opinions and review.
The hero and heroine met in college. The hero has always noticed the heroine. They were *sort of* enemies.
Years later in Vegas, they both talk and realize that the hero needs a “wife” due to his custody case with his ex. The heroine needs a “husband” to prove she’s ready to settle down and become partner. They get married.
I’d say the hero was into the heroine pretty much from the start. She slowly got there. Both their families seemed to be tied together and there are A LOT of characters.
There was no 3rd act breakup or OM drama. A little OW drama due to hero’s ex wanting custody of the baby. No smex until around 60%
Major spoiler So…one of the hero’s brothers, Jasper, was a side character. Jasper grew on me and I was interested in reading his book UNTIL he died. 😩 The hero, Jasper, and heroine were driving and their car was hit. They wrecked into the lake. The heroine was knocked out. Jasper told his brother to save her and don’t come back for him. The hero did swim back for his brother, but it was too late. We get a quick epilogue where the MC had their baby and named him Jasper. Aargh
What a mood killer.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Hey Bella Matthews why did you have to do me like that?
This gets added to the short list of books to make me cry.
Olivia & Logan Oh the enemies to lovers marriage of convenience trope 🔥
Olivia’s a little miss bad*ss lawyer
Logan’s the chiseled NHL hockey captain and single dad
I read a book last week with extremely similar tropes. And I went into this thinking, here we go again, but let me tell you this couldn’t have been done any better or different.
I mean Bella Matthews writes cat nip.
And the men she writes are what dreams are made of.
These books are usually a warm hug, like slipping into your favorite comfort show. This one had great characters (as always), but the connection just didn’t spark for me. And the whole Jasper situation was not at all welcome. It didn’t fit the vibe, felt forced, and honestly was just fucking depressing. I cried my eyes out, but not in a way I enjoyed. Sadly, this one wasn’t a favorite.
This one was chugging along kind of nicely but I don’t get the point of the last 10% and it made me really hate that i read this entire book for what seems like a pointless ending.
Oh hi, I’m still sobbing over here because this book wrecked me.
I am an absolute Bella Matthews Stan and I love this world and these characters so much. She continues to surprise me with other books that still feel fresh and unique, but also feel like a warm hug.
This one felt like a warm hug and then absolutely devestated me in a way that had me sobbing well after the last page. At the heart I still loved this story, but Bella please do not hurt me like that again…🤣😭
I adored Logan and Olivia, loved the progression of their relationship and I was rooting for them the whole time. There is just something about enemies to lovers that hits different.
✨ Hockey Romance ✨ Vegas Marriage ✨ Enemies to Lovers ✨ Single Dad ✨ Forced Proximity
Look, we all know that I love a good marriage of convenience and that Bella is my go to author for this, and once again she completely made me fall for another couple.
Logan is UP THERE on my book boyfriend list and this man had me in my knees. Why does making them a single dad make them instantly hotter?
Anyway of course I loved this, I am so excited for the next book and I guess I will forgive you Bella for ripping out my heart 💕
Loved it. Finished in one sitting. This was my first Bella Matthews book and on finishing I went straight to add a couple more to my kindle.
This was a great enemies to lovers fake marriage story. I enjoyed all the characters and will definitely be reading the first generations stories.
Liv and Logan are acquainted from when they were studying but more recently Liv the hot shot sports agent managed to rile Logan with one of the deals she did which affected his deal in a negative way.
Meeting in vegas they both have a problem which can be resolved with a marriage but they need to make it believable to even their families. Hate starts to fade to like to love.
Watch out for the twist in the plot that you’ll not see coming, it shocked me!
Thanks to Valentine PR and Bella Matthews for the arc. I do love it when you get a great one, especially from a new to me author.
- Vegas Wedding - Single Dad - Enemies to with benefits - boy obsessed
Infinity stars…no notes. Already in withdrawals from Logan & Olivia 😍
This book took me on the most emotional roller coaster ever!!!! It’s no secret I LOVE Cade & Scarlet’s story, Broken King, so I have been waiting for Olivia’s book. And OMG, did it by far exceed my expectations!! This is a Vegas wedding, marriage of convenience, enemies to lovers infinity star read. I am obsessed. Logan Adler saying “Wife” will haunt me in my dreams! I laughed, I cried, I got mad, this book gave me all of the emotions you want when you read a good book. 100000% recommend you download this IMMEDIATELY!
As ALWAYS, thank you to Bella for having me on your team to read these beautiful and amazing stories and you write them. I will forever be your #1 fan!
✨ARC review✨ well, i cried like a baby. i may be a little mad at Bella but i still love her and her stories so much. this was no exception because Olivia and Logan were everything 😭
i loved the pace of the story and how we got bits and pieces of their past throughout that really painted the picture of how down bad Logan has been for Olivia, well forever really.
the found family of Logan’s was so enjoyable because it felt like a big change from all her other stories getting insight into a whole different family and they were so tight knit and could tell how much they loved one another 🥹 while still getting our normal big ole favorite Kingston-Sinclair family!
while this story was heartbreaking, it was also very heartwarming for Olivia to finally let her walls down, have her own back and realize there was more to life than work work work. while falling in love with Logan and little Maggie 🥹 and Logan finally getting the whole family unit that he deserved after everything he’s been through and done for himself
will never stop recommending Bella, so get on it ladies!
I love every single book Bella writes but this one? It grabbed my heart and didn’t let go for 345 pages. Like, GOOD GOD, woman, are you trying to wreck me? If so, well done! What an emotional, deeply moving story that absolutely slayed me in every way. Perhaps my favorite from Bella yet. And that’s saying something. Now excuse me while I go blow my nose and dry my very red eyes.
Thank you for this ARC, Bella! I loved it so much!
That ending had me BALLING. What the actual!? I’m going to need some time to recover from this one. I am heartbroken.
This book legit has all my favourite tropes rolled into one and THIS IS HOW YOU FUCKING DO IT. 👏🏼
Tropes ❤️🔥 Marriage of Convenience 👨🏽🍼 Single Daddy 🔥 Enemies to Lovers ❤️ It’s Always Been You 🫶🏼 Found Family 💍 Vegas Wedding
Bella Matthews has this incredible ability to make you fall completely in love with every single character and then immediately crave their story. I hope Kroydon Hills NEVER ends because I’m not ready to leave this place.
Olivia is a boss B! She’s the family lawyer, working her arse off to prove she’s Partner material at the firm, always putting everyone else before herself and flying in and out of different cities for meetings. She knows her shit, handles business, and I absolutely LOVED her.
And then we have Logan Adler… 🥵 DAMN. THIS MAN - Captain of the Nobles hockey team, single daddy to one-year-old Maggie, and currently dealing with a custody case hanging over his head.
A night in Vegas turns into a marriage of convenience that could help Logan win custody and help Liv prove she has what it takes to become Partner. The chemistry between these two? UNDENIABLE. From day one, their relationship was pure unfiltered sexual tension. Someone stick me in the freezer because i'm hot!!
The first spice scene?! I LOVED IT. Really annoys me when characters have so much self-control and have all this tension and then the MMC says 'im not fu*cking you here for the first time' and then make her wait until they find a bed. Nope. We did not have that problem here. Thank you, Bella!!
Serena...what is the story there?! I'm not a fan of her dependancy on Liv. She calls and Livvy drops absolutely everything and runs. I need answers because I feel like I missed something. What did I miss?! Its annoying, especially that damn broken tyre.

Stories I need next: Rafe and Waverly. Separately, obviously, because otherwise that would be f*cking weird.
Bella, I’m begging you… do not let Kroydon Hills end. I’m emotionally attached to these people now and I refuse to leave!!
One night in Vegas and a bet were about to change Olivia's life. When hockey player Logan Adler challenges Olivia, they ended up being married in Vegas. That new situation should help Logan, who needed a wife in order to win his daughter's custody. Olivia didn't have "marriage" on her list and being with Logan might ruin everything she worked for, but what she didn't expect at all, was to start falling for the single dad.
I simply love the vibes from Bella's books. This one was focused on the marriage of convenience between Olivia and Logan and I liked how it wasn't, in fact, fake at all🤭. There was something floating between them even from the start, loving so much that whole banter between them. I liked how Olivia was portrayed as a strong, independent woman and that made her such a great inspiration to me. But even strong women can have soft hearts and Logan for sure stole hers while being part of this fake marriage. It was sweet to see how things changed between them and how Olivia became so invested in Logan and his daughter and in helping him with his custody situation.
I just adore this second gen series by Bella, always super excited to see what she has prepared for us when it comes to her characters. I always have the bestest time reading her books, enjoying this one so much!🩵 Of course that I'm already looking forward for her next book from this series, being so curious who are going to be the main characters of that one.
Sooo grateful for being part of Bella's content team, which made it possible for me to read this book in advance. Thank you so much Bella and team for sending me this e-ARC!🩵

This is easily one of the most beautiful and moving stories I have picked up in a long time.
It is rare to find a book that hits so hard, blending genuine, tear-jerking devastation with those giddy, butterflies-in-your-stomach moments. Returning to this world felt like visiting home, even if this specific journey took me on an emotional rollercoaster I never saw coming. It was a beautiful, gut-wrenching experience that completely consumed me from the first page to the last.
Olivia and Logan were absolutely electric together. I fell hard for Olivia, whose sharp, independent boss-babe exterior hides such a deeply tender heart. Watching her slowly open up to Logan was incredibly satisfying, especially as she realized he was the exact person she needed. And Logan? He is the ultimate book boyfriend. Seeing him be such a devoted, caring single dad made him impossible not to love, and the chemistry between him and Olivia, fueled by their relentless, top-tier banter, was perfection.
I am genuinely struggling to move on now that the story is finished. Watching these two work through their pasts to find their way to each other was incredibly rewarding, and their hard-won happy ending felt earned and deeply moving. It was intense and emotional, but the payoff was everything I could have wanted.
My heart is so happy, and I am already desperate for a reread.

Huge thank you to Bella Matthews and Valentine PR for the ARC! 😍 All my bookish thoughts are completely my own. ✨
Frankly, I don’t have any idea how many stars to give this book. in my opinion that death was absolutely unnecessary.. Like at all.. It ruined the whole bloody book.. so I’m taking the stars off for it.. And these mega emotional events Bella keeps on squeezing into these books have been bugging me for some time now already. So yes, I’m not happy. I loved the kiddo tho.. Totally cute.. But robbing her of her uncle was absolutely not fucking needed.. to hit all the emotional bullshit Bella has planned to hype this up.. Yeah.. Done tbh.. very done with these books.. This is the last one I read from her.. I’ve had enough
No words, this book was everything!! Full review coming, I need time to process 😭
Bella’s writing was impeccable as always. The way she writes these beautiful stories that consume your thoughts has me in speechless. Bella evoked an array of emotions from me. She had me kicking my feet giggling, had me stressed beyond belief and devastated all in this book.
Liv was an absolute boss babe. She was fierce, strong, and sassy. Liv also had many layers to her. Although she portrayed herself as having a tough exterior, she used it as a defense mechanism to protect herself. She didn’t trust easily. But as her softer side came out especially with Magnolia it made me love her so much more 😭
Logan had me swooning in every way. The way he truly cared for Liv and her wellbeing was so sweet. Logan with Magnolia, he was the best girl dad 🥹. Logan loved fiercely and with his entire being. I could feel the love he had for his family, and Liv.
I loved everything about Logan and Liv. They truly brought the best out of each other. I freaking lived for their banter, it was top-tier. Liv was sassy as hell and definitely kept Logan on his toes. Their chemistry and tension was palpable. The mouth on Logan had me blushing 🤭. Logan & Liv will forever live rent free in my head 😭
Bella's created this intricate world with so many characters that I have grown to love. I can’t wait to come back to Kroyden Hills.
Per usual, Bella cannot write book I don’t love and I devoured this one! Let me just say the whole enemies to lovers vibe was absolutely working for Liv & Logan! The banter was top tier and Liv is always going to speak her mind - I love her boss babe energy! These two have known each other since college and when they happen to make a bet in Vegas ending in them getting married, what could possibly go wrong?? I was swooning seeing Logan with Maggie - there’s just something about a dad who would literally do anything for his kids. And I think it’s safe to say, that this is something that Liv definitely noticed and grew to love as well!

Every had an author break your heart and crying while simultaneously putting it back together with the most amazing story? What’s that? Just Bella Matthews… SAME… SAAAMMMEEE….. ma’am. You had me ugly crying while reading in bed at 3 am trying not to wake my husband up. I cannot put into words how much I love Liv and Logan story. It absolutely had me feeling every single emotion. 👏🏼 every.👏🏼single.👏🏼 one.👏🏼 my goodness, I picked the book up and flew through it in about 5 hours. Couldn’t put it down- didn’t want to! So many characters in the story were amazing, some new, some of them the originals, all of them our favorites.
Once again Bella has blown me away with another amazing book. I will never get sick of this world that she has created. Her books are truly comfort reads for me and everytime I’m back in her world my heart is so full.
I have been so excited for Olivia’s book and her and Logan’s story was full of everything I could have hoped for. You can truly tell that Bella put her entire heart and soul into this book.
This one is completely addicting, emotional, full of amazing banter and the entire Kingston and St James families that we know and love.
What to expect: Enemies with benefits Single dad Boy obsessed Boss babe x hockey hottie Vegas Wedding
No one can get me to binge a book quite like BM. I really enjoyed Logan & Olivia’s dynamic and story. Crying in this book wasn’t on my bingo card but damn did I get all in my feels in this one😭. I can always count on a Bella book to give me an intriguing story, a great couple, great friendships all wrapped into about 300 pages. Such a solid sports romance!
So excited to finally see what she does with Hendrix’s book next!
What exactly did THAT scene achieve besides giving readers a headache from crying? It didn’t advance the plot in any way.
If anything, it only took away from the enjoyment of the ending. Soap-opera style heartbreak for a sake of drama is just cruel and I hated it.
Other than that, it was a fun, lighthearted installment in that Bold and Beautiful book series, even though the bonus epilogue gave me the biggest ick.
It’s as though there are a handful of tropes and plot points that are put on shuffle + the FMC’s career + and MMC that plays hockey, football, or is an MMA fighter, and whatever it spits out is what the story is about and yet these books somehow manage to be both as predictable as every Hallmark movie and yet random as hell. They’re entertaining enough to mostly read through, which is why I keep coming back for more.
What I’ve read in countless Kroydon Hills books now:
✅ FMC is called “Ice Queen” ✅ Single dad of a daughter (possibly the most popular trope in these series) ✅ Fake relationships/marriages ✅ Secret wedding ✅ “It was always going to be you two” ✅ Surprise! It’s twins/triplets
This was a steady 2.5 until the last 90%. Granted, I think a three is my max rating for any of these books simply because they’re all too similar to justify anything higher.
There’s a heartbreaking scene that made me tear up and was beautifully written, and seemed to come out of left field. It was definitely a way to shake up the “rinse and repeat” storylines, so I’ll give it that. I just kept thinking “Why was that necessary?”
While Serena was a bit much, I think my favorite aspect of this book was the idea that Serena and Olivia were soulmates.
Tropes: Vegas Wedding Marriage of Convenience Single Dad Rival Family Hockey Player x Sports Agent It's Always Been You
I have so many mixed feelings about this book.
Olivia is due for a promotion, but her boss believes she should be "settled" before being considered. Fortunately for her, her biggest hater, Logan Alder, is in the middle of a custody battle, and a Vegas wedding could be the solution for both of their problems.
Honestly, I was really loving this story! While it moved a bit quickly at times, the connection and attraction between the main characters felt so genuine and strong.
I would have liked them to have a bit more transition time between the "hate" to "this is just physical" to "you're my forever" stages. But the writing and emotions were so good, you didn't even notice that those stages happened so quickly!
I appreciated that Olivia stood up for herself multiple times and wasn’t afraid to put Logan in his place—she’s Scarlett’s daughter after all! Logan, on the other hand, took on the husband role from day one. I adored how he protected Olivia in any way he could, even if he still "hated" her. It was great to see him realize his mistake regarding Olivia, although I wish that realization had come sooner.
There were a few mentions of Olivia and Logan from their college days, but I wish that aspect had been explored more. While it added depth to the story, it felt somewhat disconnected from the present-day storyline.
Seeing the entire St. James family together really touched a part of me I didn’t even know was broken. Watching the siblings support each other, along with Scarlett and Cade, filled my heart with warmth.
Now, for the part that ruined the whole book for me. I was thoroughly enjoying the story until the 95% mark. IYKYK. That twist felt so unnecessary. It didn’t add anything to the story except heartbreak. I was seriously contemplating not finishing the book at that point. I would have understood if it had happened earlier and somehow brought the main characters closer together, but having a side character die two chapters before the end with no proper closure or clear purpose for the death felt so pointless. It felt very different from Bella’s usual writing style, and I honestly hated it.
While I love seeing girls supporting each other, Serena was really annoying. It was mentioned multiple times that she’s an heiress, and she does come across as a stereotypical spoiled heiress. She constantly interrupted Olivia and Logan’s bonding—not just when they were talking about sex. Olivia, of course, is a true girl’s girl, but Serena definitely was not.
Additionally, Logan was right in that fight. It was pretty shitty of Olivia to tell him her plans after the fact, especially after she confided in Serena. It really did seem like Logan was an afterthought, and I wish they had addressed that openly instead of it being cut off by the accident. That even continued into the extended epilogue.
Overall, it was a good story with a terrible ending.
I just finished Sweet Salvation by Bella Matthews, and once again Bella has completely captured my heart with this one 🫶🏻🥹
From the very first page, I was invested in Logan and Olivia's story, and by the time I reached the final chapter, I had tears in my eyes. I truly did not see that coming, but once again you took me by surprise. It was truly af beautiful story with all the feels🫶🏻
This book is so much more than just a romance. It's a beautiful story about love, healing, trust, and finding the courage to let someone in. The chemistry between Logan and Olivia is undeniable, but it was the emotional journey they each took that truly made this story unforgettable.
Olivia was such a badass strong and inspiring heroine. Watching her learn to put herself first and slowly open her heart to the person who truly deserved it was one of my favorite parts of the book. Her growth felt authentic and emotional, making every step of her journey incredibly rewarding. Logan's patience, kindness, and unwavering support only made me love their relationship even more. Oh and how beautifully it was to watch Olivia and Maggie’s relationship develop 🫶🏻
Bella Matthews has an incredible gift for creating characters who feel real. Every emotion felt genuine, every heartfelt moment resonated, and the ending completely broke me in the best possible way. As said I closed this book with tears in my eyes and a full heart ❤️🩹
If you're looking for a romance that will make you smile, swoon, cry, and leave a lasting impression, Sweet Salvation is one I can't recommend enough. It's emotional, beautifully written, and a story that will stay with me for a long time.
Thank you to Bella Matthews for the ARC. I'm so grateful for the opportunity to read this beautiful story. ❤️
I cannot wait to see more from the families in Kroydon Hills 🫶🏻
Sweet Salvation is the 5th book in the Love & Legacy series. We finally get Olivia Kingston-St. James romance and it did not disappoint. She has been a standout character for me for a while because she is such a strong, career driven woman who protects her family with everything she has.
Olivia has been expecting to be made partner at the sports agency she works for, but the men in charge want her to be more "settled" aka married with kids before they give it to her. She runs into Logan Adler the same night in Las Vegas and discovers he is going through a custody battle with the mother of his 1 year old daughter. The solution to both their problems is a marriage of convenience, the only problem is they hate each other.
These two had such amazing banter and chemistry. The forced proximity allowed them to get to know each other on a deeper level. Olivia was able to see what a devoted and loving father Logan was. She also couldn't help falling for his adorable daughter. It was great to see Olivia open up and let them into her heart. She may be seen as the ice queen, but she will fight hard for those she loves. She is one of my favorite heroine's.
I loved how Logan wouldn't surrender to their attraction till Olivia admitted she didn't hate him. I mean it was so obvious she didn't hate him. These two were both so similar and stubborn, but perfect together.
Both of these characters stole my heart and I appreciated their slow burn romance.
I was also shocked with an event that happened in the 3rd act that had me tearing up.
Of course it was great to see some of the Kroyden Hills family members we love.
Thank you to Bella Matthews for providing the ARC in exchange for my honest review.
The story follows an absolute whirlwind. Olivia St. James is sports agency royalty-an unapologetic ice queen who has her entire life meticulously planned out. Then enter Logan Adler, the ridiculously charming star forward for the New Jersey Nobles, who also happens to skate for her family's biggest rivals. After one reckless, tequila-fueled night in Vegas, a crazy bet turns into a very real wedding ring. To avoid a massive public scandal and help Logan secure custody of his young daughter, they strike a deal: stay married, keep it a complete secret, and do not cross any lines. But when the fake dynamic starts feeling way too real, their careful boundaries completely dissolve. Olivia St. James: She is an absolute force of nature. Standing at 5'3" with green eyes and an expensive handbag addiction, she is a fierce, brilliant sports agent who refuses to let anyone crack her armor. Watching her navigate her fierce independence while softening for Logan's daughter was spectacular. • Logan Adler: A 6'4 hockey captain with baby blue eyes and sandy hair. He is the perfect blend of a cocky, dirty-talking athlete on the ice and a fiercely protective, softhearted single father at home.
Favorite qoutes: "When you're a good swimmer, people don't realize you're drowning." "Marrying my enemy in Vegas was never part of the plan. Falling in love with my husband…now that's where things get complicated." Bella Matthews created absolute magic with this book! The banter functions as literal foreplay, the tension is suffocating, and the found-family element hits right in the chest. Logan breaking through Olivia's cold exterior while trying to protect his little girl made me feel completely feral. It is witty, intensely emotional, and safely ranks as one of my top sports romances of the year.
𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙚𝙭𝙥𝙚𝙘𝙩 - vegas wedding, enemies to lovers, single dad, hockey romance, boy obsessed —
Ugh how this book was absolutely hitting all the right spots the chemistry, denial, banter, and a little bit of angst I couldn’t get enough of Olivia, Logan, and baby Maggie I love their little family so much and seeing how much they grew was so special.
I feel like I have been waiting for an Olivia book for so long and it’s finally here. Olivia is currently working with awful sports agency and I am so glad at the end she told them to suck it. I have always loved Olivia and my heart definitely grew for her more in this book and one thing I did love about this book was her and Serena friendship it is everything.
Olivia and Logan have known each other since college and they to dislike each other when he called her out on national TV. With Olivia job not giving her promotion because she’s basically not married and Logan ex fighting for custody of their daughter out of nowhere. They decided to get married.
was I not sure about Logan when I first started this book? Yes but he definitely grew on me quickly. I love him so much but I love all of Bella’s mmc’s, once I saw Logan with baby Maggie I fear there is no turning back for me and the way that he stood up for Olivia to his family
This book absolutely an emotional roller coaster, especially the last 15% because I couldn’t stop crying. It was so emotional and I did not see that coming actually because what was the reason Bella why did you have to break my heart like that?! but it was definitely still a very good book and I cannot wait for the next book. I know it’s just gonna be really angsty
Thank You So Much for giving me this incredible arc !💐🖤
Olivia is such a boss babe and definitely takes after her mother. She’s a total workaholic, and I really appreciated how the book highlighted the reality that women in leadership positions are often undervalued, even when they’re just as qualified or even more qualified than the men around them, simply because of their gender. That was a major factor in the situation that ultimately led to Olivia and Logan’s marriage.
Logan had been crushing on Olivia for the longest time without really realizing it himself. A lot of it came down to his own insecurities and denial, which made his feelings feel pretty believable. I also loved seeing his relationship with his daughter and his family. Those moments really added another layer to his character. At first, I felt like there was a bit of an emotional disconnect between Olivia and Logan, but their bond developed naturally over time, and I really enjoyed watching it grow. By the end, I was genuinely rooting for them. That being said, a few things toward the end happened a little too quickly for my liking and could have been explored in more depth. I also felt like the loss didn’t have as much emotional impact as it could have, it needed a little more space to really hit.
Overall, though, I loved being back in this universe and getting to know Olivia better. I especially enjoyed seeing her relationship with Magnolia and everything that led them to their HEA. It was an engaging and enjoyable read.
