One impulsive kiss, three determined alphas, and the omega instincts I never saw coming.
I thought I'd keep my head down in Honeyridge Falls. Work at the general store, avoid my brother Ben's overprotective energy, stay far away from any alpha drama. After what happened in college, simple felt safer.
My plan was sarcasm as armor, independence as my shield, and absolutely no complications.
No feelings. No alphas. No regrets.
Just me, my sharp tongue, and a routine that kept everyone exactly where I wanted them—at a distance.
Then my ex crashes the Thanksgiving Festival trying to win me back, and I panic. One desperate kiss with the nearest alpha to shut him down, and suddenly my whole world tilts sideways.
Because apparently, when you've been suppressing your omega instincts for years, one kiss can wake everything up. And now three alphas won't leave me alone.
Grayson, the quiet tattoo artist with dark eyes and ink-stained hands who sees straight through my walls and makes my pulse race. River, the golden-retriever alpha with an easy smile who treats my sarcasm like foreplay and refuses to be pushed away. Seth, the gentle deputy who blushes at my teasing but whose steady presence makes me want to stop running for the first time in years.
Love wasn't supposed to happen. But as winter approaches and they keep showing up—patient, persistent, and completely unimpressed by my emotional armor—something inside me starts to crack open.
I thought I was just avoiding my ex at a festival. Turns out, I accidentally announced I was ready for a pack instead. A cozy, why choose, steamy, small-town omegaverse romance filled with one stolen kiss, shared blankets, cinnamon-roll alphas, and the kind of pack that makes your heart flutter in all the best ways. This is a standalone romance with heat, heart, and a guaranteed HEA.
The basic premise of this book is decent - young woman breaks up with her BF, graduates college and moves home to small town usa to try and start her career. She stumbles into a new relationship, falls pretty fast and happily ever after ensues. Simple, sweet, easy.
Unfortunately the author has a lot of issues heavily distributed throughout the book.
Bea is a complete mess of an FMC. She is beloved BELOVED in her town and family, with a huge support system that showed her healthy relationships and self esteem throughout her life. Somehow some dude manages to override that entirely, apparently from the very start of their relationship? It just isn't compatible. She is about as tough as milk toast, doesn't stand on her own at all, and has zero determination or backbone. She just doesn't make sense with her background.
Then we have the guys who are a mashup of oddity at best. Seth is the most incongruous - he's law enforcement but has less gumption than a goldfish. His age is also in question since she went to highschool with him but he's suddenly 5 years older than her, but later one of the guys indicated they're all in their 30s. River is baffling - seemingly the only truly settled one, he's the most childish and ridiculous most of the time. Then we have Grayson with the vaguely threatening background - a completely useless background by the way. He just radiates dark energy and smugness, doesn't really bring much value beyond being fun to look at. None of these MMCs capture my attention for more than a few pages.
Bea's family is nice but, again, bizarre. Your daughter dated someone for years and none of you realized he was a controlling a$$&ole dragging her down? The protective brother is a jokester at best, and only steps up to the plate once (in a poorly contrived way). Beyond that the side characters are mostly interchangeable, spend very little time on page and I'm pretty sure the author flip flopped Maeve and Millie at least once.
The details of the book are messy. I don't understand the society they live in at all - packs are totally normal but Bea is embarrassed to be seen with more than one guy but her ex maybe made her feel like a pack was greedy of her but he himself found a pack? The world building never happened so I have no idea what this mess was all about. Later it's Seth's age, then who is wrapped in a blanket in bed while wearing his work uniform having clearly been working already. Every chapter throws up new stumbles and questions.
Some of the minor errors could be ignored but the rest of the book just isn't high enough quality to bother forgiving the errors. There's very little humor, except for the characters making fun of each other (funny but sometimes it comes off more mean-spirited than playful teasing). The story is not at all unique and is a pretty poor version of itself. In the end nothing really makes me hate the book but it's overwhelmingly disappointing
This book was soooo close to being amazing but bad editing and inconsistent world building decimated 2 stars.
First, please fire your editor and find a new one. The phrase "made my alpha/Omega sit up and take (immediate) notice/beg" is said 8x. One paragraph was duplicated in its entirety. Their ages are completely inconsistent, Seth being 26 but then all the guys are "in their 30s" like two weeks later. And her assistant- is it Maya or Elisabeth? You just named her Maya like 10 pages ago. Who tf is Elisabeth? Seth's house has 3 bedrooms for 4 adults, but there is a spare bedroom (without a door?) to use as her office, and one room dedicated to the nest. Does Seth live in the Tardis? And at one point, River's and Seth's scents got mixed up. And when did Seth start smelling like soap and honey? Or snow? I thought he was rain and cedar. Make it stop.
And like, does birth control not exist in this world? They skipped that convo entirely when planning for her heat. She had ONE RULE and they broke it, no conflict or drama about it. I felt like that was cheap.
Okay, world building. Why tf is Bea so ashamed of being on a date with 3 alphas? The preface LITERALLY SAYS that a pack is "formed of three alphas and an omega" in this world. It should be normal then, right? So why is she so mortified of pack courting? I was a bit disgusted that the guys immediately launched into sex talk at the dinner table on their first pack date. Don't bring others into your kink without consent! This includes being pervy in public, especially a bloody restaurant.
FMC - And how did Bea land with a controlling asshole who demolishes her self respect after being raised with a huge support network, loving healthy parental relationship modeling, and an overly protective brother? Did they just... not notice? Did no one talk to Bea while she was in college? She just didn't make sense as a character and honestly felt spineless. I wanted to cheer her on as she built her business but she spent the entire book waffling on her lack of confidence in every area except marketing? I just couldn't.
With all that said, the book IS cute and I did like the guys. The author successfully avoided the nickname RH trap, which made me thrilled to bits. But poor editing and inconsistencies drug it down. 3.5/5.
While this is the 3rd book of the series, I didnt read the previous books. From the synopsis it sounded like the most interesting so I felt it would be the best to try since they were all standalones. While it was an ok read, I wouldn't say it was great. To me it was about a 2.5 star read. The storyline was cute. The fmc had just returned to her hometown after finishing college and breaking up with her boyfriend who apparently didnt treat her with much respect. Because of this, she is reluctant to get into another relationship even though three alphas are constantly around and making it clear they want her. It was way beyond insta love, they hardly know each other at all before declarations of love start flying. I know omegaverse tend to be more insta but this was way too quick! Also, there were so many cringy parts, I had to stop reading. You know when you're watching a movie and you know something embarrassing is happening and you cant watch? Yeah, lots of second hand embarrassment in this. It may not bother others, but there were quite a few continuity errors too, which is a huge pet peeve of mine in books. This books starts off around the beginning of December, but a week or two after news years the fmc reflects that six months ago she kissed the deputy. The alphas are 24, 27 and 30, yet at one point one says we're all in our 30s. There were quite a few inconsistencies like this that takes you out of the story. Otherwise it was entertaining, but doubt I'll read any more from this series.
I loved this book so much as soon as I picked it up I couldn’t put it down there world and story blended along so seamlessly. The male lead characters were so amazing and understanding to the fml and how much she wants to be a working omega first and foremost. I will say all her alphas were some of my favorites but Seth had my heart from the beginning. Loved this book my fist time reading this author and we’ll say I’ll be reading more.
The guys are the best part about this book, I liked how different they all were and how they were honest with Bea. But I didn’t care for Bea at all. She was irritating in the extreme with how she couldn’t face her own emotions at all. Everything else was annoying too. The nosy town, her family interactions, how repetitive everything was. The editing wasn’t great either. All in all, not enough to compel me to read the whole thing.
Bea is absolutely a disaster who knows what she wants to do in her life, and what she’s not looking for. Enter in Seth, River & Grayson who literally turn her world on its axis. It’s awesome to see her grow and become a strong amazing woman. Those three alphas know exactly how to support her in her dreams and her career. I can’t wait to read more by this author.
I really enjoyed the story, it drew me in and kept me engaged throughout and had me looking forward to what would happen next. The characters were great, the guys were all really sweet and I loved seeing them be supportive throughout the story. I would recommend giving this book a read.
This was very cute. The main characters are lovable with green flag alphas, a strong omega, and likable family and friends. I found the friendships between the alphas especially sweet.
There were definitely some editing issues, and a few things confusing spots, but overall a satisfying read.
Follow Bea on her adventure, as she returns to her hometown after college to figure out what's next. Her journey leads to meeting and falling for 3 alphas: Seth, the deputy, River the store owner, and Grayson, the tattoo artist. Tiny bit of conflict with her ex in the beginning, but otherwise its an overall sweet story with good spice 😁🔥🔥
This is a cute, cozy story. I could relate a lot to Bea and her fears of commitment throughout the story. Seth was endearing in his anxiety, River was delightful, but Grayson was probably my favourite. Certain lines got a little repetitive, but overall, I genuinely enjoyed it!
Cute story. Awkward alpha who is adorable. An omega that wants to build her career, fears settling down with a pack will put her wants on the back burner finds that with the right pack that’s not true.
Very cute book that kept me engaged until the end. Only reason for a missing star is the lack of editing. There are quite a few typos and repeated paragraphs throughout the story that should’ve been caught with an editor.
This book was a fun and spicy read with strong chemistry between the characters. The omega/alpha dynamics and knotting trope were a big focus, which made the romance intense and entertaining. The plot was pretty straightforward, but it worked well for a quick, indulgent read.
I liked the story and the characters - as well as their quirks. Much of the story was very repetitive to the point of distraction. I found myself skimming parts because it became filler flush as the characters kept repeating the same feelings every few pages.
DNF for now, I might come back to this one if I'm in the mood for something slow. In the first 10 to 11 chapters I read, not much happened; it mainly involved the FMC running away from her growing attraction to the MMCs. Too repetitive, with similar events happening multiple times.
I need to stop doing this to myself and admit that saccharine, plotless, cosy romances are just not my bag. It’s not a terrible book. Just boring. 2.5⭐️
That was fun Didn’t love the biting during the heat but it’s fineeee Loved all the mmcs! They had great distinct personalities, specially my heart Sethhh

I had a blast reading it but some parts were repetitive and I got lost because I thought I had already read it. Bea and her crew were fun to watch out together. I really loved Grayson. The plot was fun and really the only thing that saved it. Things were confusing for the fact that pack life is normal but Bea is scared to be seen with one? Everything kinda felt rushed and the vibes were kind of off. Once they found their rhythm it was fine. It was a cute little way to start the holiday season.
