Rylie is debilitatingly shy. Being around a man sends her running for her sanctuary of the bathroom in the back of her shop. A man whom she nicknames dreamboat the first time she sees him in her coffee shop. She tries to take his order, but she then can't say anything and runs for the back room, leaving her best friend and worker, Molly to deal with him. He's in there every day, and yet she hides. Until one day things change. Her shop ends up being so busy that they need to hire extra help. They find Addie, a quiet, shy woman who loves books and book boyfriends as much as they do. I will start off by saying that I absolutely love Rylie! She is quirky, nerdy and clumsy. She is passionate about books and her café.
Jax is super sweet, totally into Rylie and is every book nerds perfect book boyfriend come to life.
This book totally had me laughing. The banter between Rylie and Jax is great! Rylie sure gets herself and Jax into some pretty laugh worthy predicaments.
This book has a ton of humor, a little bit of drama, some really steamy scenes and a super cute puppy with an attitude and a book signing. What else could a reader ask for?! This book has a little bit of everything a great first Romantic Comedy for Vicki Green!

Received a copy. How can I put the way I feel about this read into words? Let me tell you that My Next Book Boyfriend is funny and I loved every moment and every step of the way. Rylie and Jax oh my goodness these two are fabulous. The characteristics of these two had me rolling. I could imagine many book lovers as Rylie and the book boyfriends that come along in their lives. I will be re reading this, that is how much I enjoyed it. Highly recommend reading this book. I think I would probably flip out if My Next Book Boyfriend showed up. I love this read!

A cute fun book with great characters. Ry is a book lover and Coffee shop owner-who lives through her books. But a meeting with Jax (HT) might change a lot of things in her life.He comes everyday to work on his computer and becomes her neighbor but becomes her real life boyfriend. But because hes a real boyfriend that brings a whole new set of troubles. A book full of great characters ,a cute dog and books what couldn't one love about that.

I just loved this story!!

I could relate so much to Rylie. I just had to laugh at her fangirling moments, yep, been there myself lol. I mean, who hasn't gone to a book signing and seriously just freaked the hell out? We are in the presents of masterminds here. Being such a booknerd myself, I just couldn't imagine my life without books, being able to travel without leaving a room, there are just no words to describe that feeling, it is just amazing!! Vicki Green definitely captures all this in her story, the pages just melt away and you're fangirling along side Rylie and swooning bad when she (we) meets Jax. 'Sigh'

A fun, alluring storyline with characters you'll just fall in love with. I couldn't put it down.

I highly recommend this to all bookworms. We can never have too many book boyfriends and Vicki Green has definitely given us another one to add to that ever growing list. ^_^

Hello!! this book kinda reflects my life most of the time. Head in books and the make believe characters created by authors, my head and Rylie's do not function well in the normal world. This is what makes her so love-able in the book, she is like many of us.So to see her meet and embarrassed herself with a smoking hot man and then for it to develop into much more was a lot if fun to read. Now this book reader wants to be Rylie :)

This book was very cute and had many funny heartwarming as well as steamy moments. Jax was definitely a swoon worthy book boyfriend and I think we all need a Jax. Rylie is (my spirit animal) so adorably awkward and she has a very big (I mean big) book obsession. I loved everything about this book and Rylie's bestie Molly is hilarious. But my favorite character is Willy...sorry I mean, Willie ;)

I have read by now a couple of novels from this author with each one being their own flavor. This one also is a flavor all its own. This one all us readers that have it seeping through our blood stream will see each of us in some parts of this book. Squeezing in the reading whenever and where ever was just one of mine. This was one that was able to relate to but unique in itself. The characters are delightful with Rylie starting you out with delivering us bits of herself right away. Her friend Molly is true blue. The humor that is injected is in perfect with the dialogue. The romance is the type that I would swoon for, one of the reasons I read romance lol. Jax becomes a mystery thanks to her reactions partly but will be peeled away bit by bit. She does such a fantastic job with this story you will eat it up it tastes that good. Her acquired house guest is a hoot that will become a permanent one. She gives you everything you look for in a HEA novel with promises of more to come.

I loved so many things about this book. Rylie was a book lover like me. She fan girled over authors at a book signing (maybe even my very favorite author, too). She was independent, not perfect and lived a pretty normal life. Jax was the handsome, hot guy who fell for Rylie. Yes, that sounds like the perfect romance story. Yes, I was able to predict some of the surprises. But you know what? That was great!!!! I thoroughly enjoyed reading the book and wanted to know more about the characters when the book ended. That made it a great read for me!

I enjoyed this book for the most part. I am giving it 4 stars because I did find it easy to put down.

I enjoyed watching Riley and Jax met and develop a friendship then to more. I love how Riley gets all flabbergasted whenever Jax is around, who wouldn't around a hot guy. Jax is a book boyfriend come to life, Riley is all about her books and her book boyfriends she has a massive list of them, so when Jax comes into her shop all she can do is envision him as one of her book boyfriends.

I loved the interaction between the two of them She forgave easily and he really cared about her.

A couple things that seemed to lose attention in this book was her dog that she found in her yard one day and the store she owns, it just seemed to get lost even though the store was a big part of Rileys life, her grandmother gave it to her.

Overall I enjoyed this book, I figured out about Jax right away, to me it was obvious and I think it will be to you as well, but I could be wrong.

A book about a chick that lives to read books, drinks coffee, and has numerous book boyfriends... sounds good to me. Ry is a book lover... to say it mildly, who owns her own coffee shop with her bestie Molly. Ry also suffers from a major case of shyness, which in turn causes her to become a klutz who stutters. Its actually quite funny how the author writes it. Well one day in walks this... Dreamboat who sets off all of Ry's symptoms, she burns herself, stutters while asking his order... that's after she stared at him for a while. And here is the kicker; the guy kept coming back, and SMILING at her, with an occasional wink. This doesn't happen to book nerds... only in the books us nerds read.

The story that unfolded from that meeting kept giving me good laughs, lots of drama, and a nice sexy time. This was a good read for me, only had a few things that bugged me. I give this 4 stars.

Riley is like most of us girls who enjoy reading good romance novels, our book boyfriend list is endless. Riley is this shy, coffee shop owner who can talk BBF'S to anyone who asks but put a good looking guy in front of her and she can't even formulate a sentence.
Remember when I said how shy Riley was, she is also quite a klutz. She falls into the arms of this gorgeous man, literally. When Jax walks into the coffee shop and Riley automatically starts sizing him up to her BBF'S. But could Jax literally be her BBF come to life?

This was a funny witty romantic comedy. The banter between Riley and Jax was cute enough I found myself laughing at them sometimes. This was an easy story to read, as Vicki Green easily got you connected to the characters. Definitely will read her again.

My Next Book Boyfriend is the story of Rylie and Jax. Rylie is a serial reader, and always has a book with her. She is devoted to her book boyfriends and even keeps a list of them! She is extremely shy and a bit of a klutz, especially around hot guys.

One day Jax, a real book boyfriend, walks into her coffee shop and into her life. What does she do first thing? Streams scalding hot coffee on her hand! LOL

I love Rylie and this book! It is highly entertaining and well written, with just the right amount of heat. Rylie's character is one that everyone can relate to. I mean who hasn't been a nervous wreck around a hot guy?? I give this book a 4.5 rating.

Rylie Clark is a klutz who owns a coffee shop. She loves to read and often gets lost in her books. She sees herself as the woman falling in love with her prince. Molly is Ry's best friend and also works and bakes for the coffee shop. One day a handsome man comes in by the name of Jaxson. He gets his coffee and sits in the shop most of the day typing of his laptop. The more he comes in the friendlier him and Rylie become. She can't believe he actually likes her. This book was so funny . I laughed at many parts. As love goes it did have its' ups and down, but the book is great. Vicki Green really has a style for writing and I can't wait to read Molly's story. You will love this book.

I really liked a LOT about this book but there were some things that I didn't like.

I liked how Jax and Rylie met. I liked how they fell into an easy friendship of sorts. I liked how he swept her off her feet just like a book boyfriend. I liked how easily she forgave and how sorry he truly was. You could tell that she meant something to him right away and that was nice.

I cringed at the "big reveal" and thought it was completely unnecessary drama. I didn't like that her shop seemed to have been forgotten or that her dog was also forgotten (and the dog wasn't necessary to the story).

Overall, the story was fun, if a bit cheesy, and definitely worth a read.

I so enjoyed this book! I mean what's not to enjoy.. book nerd falls for sweet charming man. Rylie is everything I can relate to. She's loves her books like they are her babies, her friends and dreams of one day finding her book boyfriend. She never thought it would happen so quickly. Jax is gorgeous and sweet. He has all the qualities we love in our book boyfriends. I did love how they started out as friends and let their love grow. I loved her fangirling over all the authors, I mean who hasn't done that before. This book is cute and fun! Can't wait to read Molly and Chance 's book next! I'm sure it will be the same fun as this one!

This is the first in the Book Boyfriend series, the others have yet to be written, but I am sure, in true Vicki Green fashion, this can be read as a stand-alone.
This was such a cute, fun, humorous read, I didn't realize how much time had passed reading, until my stomach growled, lol! This is definitely a romantic comedy! I was laughing right out loud!! The two main characters have quite a connection!! The heat and their banter kept my attention, plus, since he is a real boyfriend, not something imaginary or perfect, there is some drama thrown in. Definitely a book for those who like a considerable amount of laughs!!

Very Enjoyable

Have you ever wanted to read a book just because you knew it would be unlike any other book you normally read? That is what I did and I can guarantee you I am so excited I did. This book is my very first romantic-comedy and I just fell in love with the characters of Raylie, Jax and Molly. Raylie and Molly both had me laughing; however, Jax had me swooning. What a truly enjoyable story. Now the unbearable waiting commences for book two. Ughh! ;). 5 Kudos to Mrs. Green. *****

I persevered with this book despite struggling with it in the beginning. Now I wish I hadn't bothered, it was terrible. I didn't like the characters, the whole thing was very juvenile and the "story" wasn't a story at all. After hours of reading, the book actually went nowhere, it was just a complete and utter load of waffle. The best thing about it is it's title but sadly it didn't live up to it. My advice would be to give it a miss and I certainly will not be reading the others in this series.

I loved this book it's every avid readers dream I would say. I loved Rylie she was such a klutz but so sweet along with it and the interaction between her and Jax so funny at times. There is I don't know if you would call it a twist, but I thought I had worked out where the book was going but I was wrong and loved it even more. This book left me with a smile on my face. What a great read! I loved the whole storyline with the book boyfriend. I loved the mystery if the author was male or female. Rylie who loves to read like I do has book boyfriends and always fantasizes about them. Jax's (HT) character was great. Living up to Rylie's "Coffee Girl" real life book boyfriend. Vicki Green made this a fun story and the laughter was great. I can't wait to read more of this fun loving series.

I adored everything about this story. As an avid reader myself I could easily relate to Ry a.k.a. (Coffee Girl). Jax comes into Ry store and she's beyond floored by him. Jax takes him time to break down the walls she built around herself. A really sweet lighthearted read. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series.

So funny

I highly recommend this book if you need a good laugh. Rylie was sweet but a bit of a clutz and a huge romance novel junkie. Jax was a nice guy but I don't know many men that are that in touch with their feminine side. Together they make a really sweet couple. Can't wait for the next book in the series.
