This story was one big miscommunication. I hate stories where the plot relies on a lack of understanding between the two MC’s. It’s not your typical omegaverse story, as it revolves more around the mystery aspect. I skimmed a lot.

This was a great debut novel by CarIy Lovette. I don’t often read MF Omegaverse, but this one was really good. Despite not have multiple partners the story was still as super spicy as you could expect from an Omegaverse Romance. Since Faye enters the contract to support her innocent brother from jail, there was lots of suspense and mystery as she tries to clear his name. Alec, while being a billionaire Alpha was still really sweet and seemed to try and keep her at a distance to protect her from his workaholic nature. I really loved the romance in this story and while I normally hate misunderstanding tropes, it worked well with keeping Faye from falling in instalove, like you would expect from scent matches.

I wish there was more
This book is relatively long at over 400 pages, but it's good enough that I'd be happy to read more.
The FMC is solid. Self reliant, strong, funny and vengeful in equal perfect measure, even when she is vulnerable Faye just works. Alec is a pretty perfect MMC to match her. A little bit cynical, a bit dinged up by childhood trauma, but protective, sweet and a bit needy in his own way.
Add in a bundle of side characters that are truly endearing, a complex plot/antagonist line that keeps moving steadily and with a satisfying resolution, and excellent editing quality & you've got a really great read. I would love to see a bit more at the end, before the epilogue, but it is fairly wrapped up.
I think my only "complaint" is the statements about one scent match when packs are a societal norm. Monogamous matching as the only possibility seems incongruous with that setup. Obviously, it didn't bug me enough to detract from the overall story.

This story is more plot than spice which is good. The story is about Faye and her brother Jonas and Alec. Jonah is falsely accused of murder and she is determined to prove his innocence. When visiting him in prison, she runs into Alec. He has decided a contact wife is the best option for him because he thinks he can’t love someone properly. He demands his assistant figure out who she is and present the omega contract to her.
Alec is the perfect Alpha. He is strong, resourceful, and caring even though he doesn’t see it. He dotes on Faye in ways he never expected himself to do.
Faye is a tough Omega. She stands on her own even after she has tons of money at her disposal. Her determination to save her brother is great but I will say the time they were not on the same page was way too long. It could have been shaved down a bit.
Overall a solid omegaverse story.

This was such a great Omegaverse book. It was MF, but the two characters worked so well together, making for the perfect story.
Alec is a billionaire and used to getting his way. Faye is just… Faye. Not much bothers her and she isn’t intimidated by Alec or his money. The story is intriguing, and has a bunch of twists and turns, but it’s also sweet. I enjoyed Alec and Faye’s story so much. They were so good together once they got things figured out, together.
This was a great Omegaverse read.

Really enjoyable read. Absolutely can't fault anything. Slow to build relationship, where he falls first, miscommunication troupe (not my favorite but well executed), mild spice, and plenty of suspense. Faye gave total Nancy drew vibes wanting to exonerate her brother of crimes he didn't commit, while Alec just wants an easy omega to slot into his perfect little box. Faye is so not that, and the tension and conflict created is just amazing. Loads of suspense and drama along the way.

I was astonished that this was her first book! Absolutely amazing story-telling, relatable and lovable characters, and a gripping mystery that left me unable to put it down. Read the entire thing in one day. This book is going to blow up in the ABO world and I'm following the author because I know that this is only the beginning for her!

Contract Omega is a quirky read that I enjoyed overall, but it suffered a bit from lingering a long time in the land of miscommunication. You know when one person hears another person saying something, decides what that means, and **doesn’t actually discuss it** with the other person? Well, that’s what Faye does when she overhears Alec’s phone conversation.
Prior to that, they’ve had their relationship build nicely. It starts as a contracted marriage to get Alec out of his overbearing family’s push to marry, while Faye needs money to help her brother escape a murder wrap. What they don’t realize immediately is that they’re fated mates through a scent bond, but when that hits, all bets around their contract are off….
I liked both protagonists. They’re strong, they’re willing to fight for what they want, and they both defend one another. That’s part of the reason I struggled with the miscommunication here—I didn’t see any reason why they wouldn’t believe in one another based on their previous behavior. So the middle part of Contract Omega sagged for me after a strong beginning.
It comes back well at the end once they, you know, start talking to one another (and I really appreciated the scenes where Faye began to doubt herself about Alec doing her wrong). The murder accusation is a vital part of this story, and I liked how Lovette addressed that. There are some great secondary characters in Contract Omega, and I really hope they get their own stories soon!

Love, love, love this book! It had me captured from the first chapter and had my stomach in knots until the end!
The spice was nice but the sexual tension made it even better and the plot was thicker than the Alpha’s knot 🤭
The characters are so well written, the FMC Faye, is just so damn badass is so many ways. I love that she is a strong willed, independent Omega who is not afraid of standing up to any Alpha especially her sent match mate. I also love that she is mixed race and from a working class background. She really makes her MMC Alpha, Alec, work for her attention and her affection and doesn’t put up with his macho Alphahole BS!
Also honorable mention to Mariah, Faye’s ride or die BFF, she is a true Queen and the gold standard for a best friend that every girl should have. I hope we get a 2nd book with her as the main character because she is hilarious.
The HEA was the perfect ending and I can’t wait to read the bonus!

"This is the biggest misunderstanding I've ever been involved in."
I feel the exact same way about this book. Faye and Alec's dynamic would have been a lot more likable, in my opinion, if there wasn't a giant misunderstanding looming over them the entire book. I realize that this is a large majority of the book, creating the tension of the couple. However, it seemed like Faye mentioned more than once how she should just talk to Alec about it. Instead, it just gets glazed over until the next time it's brought up and then finally resolved at the end.
I really liked how well written this was, and the concept of a contract Omega was fascinating to me. Faye was an interesting character who was devoted to seeking justice for her brother but also set on being negative towards Alec. She has a super sassy personality and is a handful that seems out of character for an omega but made it all the more interesting.
Alec really wanted to fight his reaction to Faye, but it seems like he's a golden retriever in the Alpha world. He has a very high class personality, reputation, and style, but he is rather down to earth under it all.
I appreciated that this book focused more on plot and some mystery than spice, which was still there. The Omegaverse spice was well written and believable.
In the end, I'm glad that Faye gets her found family, and the couple figures out their miscommunication. The big mystery is solved, and there is a HEA.

4.5 stars. This story is dual POV, well written and edited, and a sweet and steamy, arranged marriage, fated mates, omegaverse romantic comedy between male billionaire alpha, Alec, and female bartender omega, Faye. I was amused by the misunderstanding between lead characters that led to Faye insisting on sticking to the terms of the contract. I chuckled at Alex’s frustration at his inability to convince Faye to do as he wanted when almost everyone else acquiesced to his demands. I enjoyed the developing relationship and steamy intimate moments. I enjoyed the non-romance plot and the hijinks associated with that. I enjoyed the secondary characters and the setting. This is the author’s debut and I will be looking for more from her!

This book was honestly amazing, it was really well written and had a really great overarching plot with some good spice mixed in. I really liked that this book was focused on solving a mystery with the traditional omegaverse vibes, it was something I haven't really experienced before - but i LOVED it!
I love the dynamic between Faye and Alec, there isn't an instalove dynamic, despite the scent match, and we get to experience their relationship change and grow throughout the book.
Honestly such a great read, I could not put it down - I cannot wait to see what Carly Lovette writes next!

I started the book and had a hard time putting it down! I liked the characters and their story line. I also LOVE LOVE LOVE when the FMC has female friends that actually act like friends would in real life. We need more besties in books!
I also really liked the twist on scent matches in this book. Its unique to the OV genre and I love when I stumble across something like this.
Its MF, which is also a semi-unique angle in the OV genre.
There weren't a ton of spicy scenes, but what was there were HOT. 🥵
I'm hoping for Mariah's story next!

I don’t normally read this type of book. But I thought I would give omegaverse a try. It did not fail. It was so good. I loved how the characters had chemistry even when they didn’t agree. They couldn’t fight the tension between them. They bonded and then some. They both cared about each other in a way. Faye wanted her brother cleared from murder and Alec would do anything for her. You have to read this book. It won’t disappoint you.

Contract Omega drew me in and I loved the sassiness that is Faye. She is resilient, hardworking and she loves her brother... enough to do something outside the norm in order to get him justice. Alec... burned by the past, makes Fay an offer she can not refuse. This book will hurt your heart as Faye struggles through trust and misinformation. Not your typical Omegaverse... but it is one to read!!!

Ok this writing was fantastic! I only gave it a 4⭐️ because I HATE the miscommunication trope!!!
lol there were sooooo many times that things could have been avoided without it while still having the story be engaging and intriguing!
In fact the premise was so intriguing that I couldn’t put the book down unless my eyes just fell shut!

Sooooo good! I thought it was cute. I loved Faye and her devotion to finding justice for her brother. Alec, I think the guy just needs a big hug. He had a bit of learning to get through, but he did and I’m proud of him. There are a handful of characters in here that I hope get their own book. I would love to see more of Faye and Alec in the future too.

Fun, exciting and sweet
I’m not usual for billionaire books, but this one was well done. The main characters are both stubborn but in a complimentary way, and the way Lovette writes the chemistry between them is unbelievable. Loved the competence of the FMC and all the vibes really.
Definitely worth a read!

This was a suspenseful who done it story with lots of spice. There is a lot of adorable moments between Faye and Alec, and some not so adorable moments while they work through their differences. I really enjoyed reading it and I’m hoping for more stories in this universe about the other characters from this story, especially Mariah and Theo!

Really enjoyed this! The dynamic between Alec and Faye was so cute, whether they loved each other or hated each other. There were a couple of protective moments that had me swooning for Alec. He's so over the top, but in the best way. Faye felt relatable. I look forward to the next books--I'm assuming Jonas will have a story, and Theo and Mariah's. Can't wait.
