After learning the true identity of the handsome stranger in Murga, Richard starts to realize that you can’t always judge a book by its cover. This mysterious human has sinister ties to not only Ravi...but possibly Subaru too?! Not that he can do much about it right now, especially with his inability to properly control his magic. And so! He’s come up with a new plan—ask the curious old witch lady for help in figuring it out!
Outside of THAT though (LOL), this volume was so good, but the gasp I let out when we find out the backstory of a certain character!!! :o :o :o What a twist I did not see coming! I'm not sure it majorly changed my view of any of the main characters, except maybe our fellow White Rabbit, because I'm with our sweet Leon, he's really not a REAL bad guy after all!
I was excited for the developments in this volume, even though it really didn't focus on the human we met in the previous volume. I think this volume really highlighted how not everyone wanted the reconciliation of humans and beasts, which I found engaging because it's being presented differently than the main series, I think? I mean, I guess that HAS been shown in the main series of people NOT wanting that reconciliation, but I feel it hit different here when I find out the current antagonist's reasoning? Maybe it's simply that even after all this time, I never imagined people would still want to see beasts and humans separated!
I will say that I was more than thrilled to see a cameo of an old character from the main series! It warmed my heart so incredibly much, and I hope that character's wish comes true because I, too, want to see another certain character again! <3
I hope volume four releases quickly, as I need to know what's going to happen next!
