I absolutely LIVE for KL Hill's writing. I enjoy how easily she allows the reader to get inside of her character's heads and really understand them, even in a short novella like this! The spice was chef's kiss, as always, but the fated mates trope really added to it here! The eerie description of the woods and the voices truly was making my skin crawl at one point. I enjoyed the build in suspense leading up to the plot twist I DID NOT see coming. The ending was outstanding and I really just enjoyed the entire concept of this story!

Can Nell break the spell holding the king of the forest captive? She's always felt the pull to the forest but never knew why, until she reads a book in Mammoth Cave.

I love K.L. Hill's writing. This was a great novelette, and a great quick paranormal read. I love the way the MMC and FMC come together in the end.
