But I can’t look away despite having surrounded myself with the crowd. My eyes track her across the room as she steps into his arms.
“And here I find you one step away from living in a trash can, yelling at people to scram.”
Logan tries not to laugh at her but I see that twitch of his lips. She’s witty, I’ll give her that. That can’t be what made him choose her over me. I’m witty too, damnit.
I almost busted in on them in the study, almost. Been there, done that, got the shared ex to remember it by. This one he wants to keep to himself. I’ll admit, I’m curious. Curious enough that I fantasize about the three of us together more nights than I don’t.
My whiskey is almost finished by the time they’ve decided to escape the room. My glass hits the table a little harder than intended as I wait for the sound of the front door and follow them back out.
I want my best friend’s girlfriend pretty badly, but I want back the only man I’ve ever actually loved even more.
Between Friends is a MFM, why choose, boyfriend's best friend, explicit romance. It's book two in the It's Her series, but is an interconnected standalone and can be read independent of the rest of the series.
Holy spice Samara! Novella perfection! As promised, this is the perfect why choose, MFM, explicit romance! I was captivated by the pure connection and infectious love between Logan, Alanna, and Cole. After a decision was made, I was sucked in and couldn’t wait to watch their relationship grow. The green monster tried to rear its ugly head from Logan but it was overcome by his love for Cole and Alanna. I’m addicted and I want more! PS. I was a little giddy from the cameo of Reed and May!
Between Friends by Samara Reed was such an emotional ride. Alanna’s journey felt so raw and real — torn between the safety of her bond with Logan and the intensity that Cole brings into her life. The way Samara wrote these three made their connections feel believable, messy, and deeply human.
I loved watching Alanna navigate her heart and her fears, especially as Logan’s quiet, steady presence contrasted so beautifully with Cole’s passionate pull. It wasn’t just about choosing between two men — it was about Alanna figuring out who she is, what she truly wants, and what risks she’s willing to take for love.
The tension had me hooked, the chemistry was undeniable, and the emotional depth made this more than just a romance. Alanna, Logan, and Cole’s story is one that lingers long after the last page.
I absolutely loved this novella. The chemistry and banter between Alanna, Logan and Cole was off the charts. Their magnetic pull towards each other was felt on every page. Alanna and Logan have been dating for 6 months when he tells her that his best friend Cole and him like to share. Logan hasn't brought it up yet because he feels differently about Alanna, he knows she's it for him. After all three have a discussion, they decide to give it a go. The relationships between all of them grow and change. Alanna and Logan grow more in love, Cole and her realize their strong magnetic pull and Logan opens up more to his attraction to Cole.
Logan and Cole are best friends and have been for most of their lives. And by best friends, I mean REALLY best friends in the sense that they share with each other. But we aren’t talking about typical things that most friends share, like food or clothes. Oh no, these two share women. That all changes when Logan finds himself infatuated with Alanna and wants to keep this one close and all to himself. Cole, on the other hand, has other plans and sets his sights on joining their relationship dynamic, but will Alanna give in and be on board with this? That is what he’s hoping when he finds them mid-action outside of Logan’s family home, and there’s a glint in Alanna’s eye that says maybe, just maybe she’s into it. Alanna is curious enough to find out what makes these men tick, but will Logan be able to relinquish the one thing that he’s been wanting to keep all to himself, or will jealousy rear its ugly head and break up the duo they’ve been? This one was super spicy but also had an extra level of back and forth and humor that made you laugh out loud. I came for the spice but stayed for the chemistry that pulled on all the book tropes that I love.
Oh my Ms. Reed, this book started with the spice and ended with even more spice. I loved it! I absolutely loved Alanna and her sassy self (lol)….and I could NOT choose between Logan and Cole. Logan was more stern but still showed he cared by making sure she ate and was protective of her. Cole was the perfect example of the boy next door…so sweet and funny but knew when to back down. At first it seemed like he didn’t really know what his place was until he was with Alanna and Logan…then he seemed to see for himself that all 3 could be happy. The banter between all three of them was funny. I highly recommend grabbing this one! You won’t be disappointed!! 5⭐️ 4.75 🌶️
I am completely obsessed with Between Friends by Samara Reed. It starts off perfectly, with spice, which is my favorite way to start a dirty book. I love to dive right in. This book was spicy from beginning to end, and once you start, you’re going to have a hard time putting it down. I genuinely hope Samara decides to give us more to this story because I would LOVE to find out what happens to them next. I LOVE a good why choose, and a girl not having to choose, YES! This book was great from start to finish, and I highly recommend it to all my fellow dirty readers, because everyone needs this story in their lives.
Books that have the word p*ssy in the first sentence? Immediate 5 stars. But in all seriousness, this was such a good book. For only being 143 pages and 70% of that being spicy scenes, the plot was solid. I enjoyed the character’s relationships with each other and the difference in language between those relationships (IYKYK). The spice was well written, detailed, and HOT. It’s very rare I give 5 stars to such a spicy book but I genuinely loved it. Definitely check this out if you love spice AND plot!
Between Friends is book two in the It's Her Series.
This was one spicy read. Logan and Alanna are in an established relationship, but unbeknownst to her, his best friend Cole is interested in joining them. Cole and Logan have always shared, but Logan isn't fully sure he wants to share Alanna. When Alanna is given the choice, we see a big development in steam and spice between these three. If you are interested in a smut filled book with an interesting story, this one is for you.
" And here I find you one step away from living in a crash can , yelling at people to scram."
Oh boy what an emotional, raw and heartfelt read. It's action packed and has chemistry, romance, spice, drama and so much more. I couldn't put it down once I started it. It's a quick read and I finished it in one sitting, it was just that good.
Everything was amazing the characters, storyline and plot. Truly wonderfully written. It's definitely cute and addictive. Highly recommend.
I love Alanna, Cole, and Logan! The dynamic, flirtatiousness of their individual relationships and their throuple was so sexy, but also so sweet. The tenderness and admiration that form between Cole and Logan almost felt like it had been there long before Alanna. The spice in this book was so good! Their chemistry adds so much more to the mix. 🌟🌟🌟🌟 🌶🌶🌶🌶
This book was so adorably cute and addictive. It was pure romance and spice. No third act break up or drama. Just the story of how a couple added in his bestfriend because they always did relationships that way. I could’ve read 100 more chapters of their relationship just to see where it goes.
I loved this why choose novella. It is really well written and the love between the three of them is amazing, and WOW the spice🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ I would love to know what happens next for them. A really good read I highly recommend
A great story of finding love and connection even if it is with two men. I really appreciate the way Logan had to battle with himself. The book was hot.
But he can't look away despite having surrounded himself with the crowd. All the same, his eyes track Alanna across the room as she steps into Logan's arms.
“And here I find you one step away from living in a trash can, yelling at people to scram.”
Logan does his best not to laugh at Alanna, but Cole can see the twitch of his lips. Alanna's overwitty, he'll give her that. But, that can't be what made Logan choose her over him. Cole's witty too, damnit.
Cole nearly busted in on them in the study, almost. But, he's been there, done that already, and they have the shared ex to remember it by. Now it seems Logan wants to keep Alanna to himself. Cole can admit, he's curious. Curious enough that he fantasizes about the three of them more nights than he doesn't.
Cole's whiskey is almost finished by the time they've decided to escape the room. His glass hits the table just a little harder than he had intended as he waits for the sound of the front door and he follows them back out.
Cole finds that he wants his best friend's girlfriend pretty bad, but more than that, he wants back the only man Cole has ever loved, the only man he will ever love.

Between Friends is a standalone novel in the It's Her Series written by Samara Reed. I found this book to be such an emotional roller coaster ride.
Alanna, I really felt for her so much through this book. And yet, throughout this entire story, her journey felt not only so raw and real it felt like one that you could connect with. But, Alanna ends up feeling torn. Logan gives her safety in their bond and she feels content with him. But on the other hand, there's Cole, and he brings this intensity to her life that Alanna has never felt before. I loved the way that Samara wrote these characters and the connections between the three of them, they felt real, messy, and really very human.
It was stunning to watch Alanna not only fight with herself but also navigate her heart and fears through these connections. She had Logan with his quiet, steady presence and this was a perfect contrast to Cole and his passionate pull. The truth of the matter is, for Alanna, it's not just about choosing between two men – it was more about Alanna figuring out who she really is, what it is she really wants, and what risks she's willing to take for love.
The tension between Alanna, Logan, and Cole was undeniable just like their chemistry and it had me enthralled. There was such an emotional depth to this book that was just stunning which made this so much more than your normal romance. I can honestly say that Alanna, Logan, and Cole's story and romance is one that is going to stay with you long after you have closed the book.
Between Friends is such a beautiful read and it's so enthralling that I think lovers of all contemporary romance should read this book. Samara Reed is a stunning author and I can't wait to read what she writes next.
