Following a party thrown by Jon for a group of friends to celebrate their imminent departures for university little did he know that he and and an elderly neighbour, Honora, would be scooped from the Earths surface by alien space-ship and taken to a devastated planet billions of miles away.
The planet Mechum had been invaded by an evil race, the Drassil, who were trying to escape their own final destruction at the base of the astral stem.
Jon vowed that he would return to Earth as soon as he could, and when the opportunity arose he had no hesitation in following his companion who would lead him to freedom.
However things were not all that they seemed and he had to earn the right to return. Through the experiences of physical and mental devlopment, psychological and spiritual enlightenment, myth, legends, and eventually warfare he was able to consider his options.
His enlightened self was able to visit home on Earth but not satisfied, he conspired with a surprising ally who would further assist eventual his aim.
