Overall review:

Down is a good anthology, if you're a fan of microstories that often reduce plot and character development down to a few lines, then commence with the sex action - strangers in these stories often meet, may even exchange names, and get down to the (hopefully) non-baby making. Most of the stories in this collection fit this description, not necessarily criticism or praise on my part - they are what they are, that's it.

The 'standout stories' below are above-average for this often pornoriffic genre (a necessity for some writers, considering the word limits of these works) in that they managed to import some memorability, some lingering meanings and some interesting characters and scenarios into their frakking.

This anthology is worth owning, if you're a reader who appreciates stripped-to-the-slutty/smutty-core reads, with an occasional excellent microstory to spice up the printed proceedings.

Standout stories:

1.) "Like a Virgin. . ." - Maxim Jakubowski: The thrill of a "first time" sexual experience is vividly illustrated.

2.) "The Naughty Nanny" - J. Nelson: A video service man encounters a heated, uncomfortable situation. Good story, with a realistic, relatable ending.

3.) "The Porn Date" - Rachel Kramer Bussel: Two classmates hook up. Intense, well-written.

4.) "Cheating Time" - Jay Hall: A cheated-upon boyfriend gets his revenge. Good, solid read.

5.) "Price to Pay" - Eric Reiter: Well-written piece about a rich guy and a stripper getting together.

6.) "Make It a Double" - Thomas S. Roche: A caffeinated error has hot results. Good write, fun end-line.

7.) "The Lizard Queen" - Julie Richards: Two lovers visit Jim Morrison's grave. Fun read.

8.) "The Party" - Alison Tyler: Solid story; I love the end paragraph.

9.) "Made to Order" - Rachel Kramer Bussel: A lesbian performs for her new domme. Concise, interesting.

10.) "Stained" - Rhonda Lewis: Offbeat (for this collection), tasteful story about a woman's lover whose predilection for her "time of the month" inspires her desire as well.

11.) "Debut" - Sasha Johnson: A diva gets a real-world education in film-set manners. Well-written, different and thoughtful.

12.) "Teacher's Pet" - Naomi Vanderbilt: Bliss and pain inform a woman's in-class activities. Fun BDSM piece.

13.) "Veronica's Lover" - N.T. Morley: Intense entry about a bottom servicing a stranger at her Mistress's whim.

14.) "La Dolce Vita" - Sage Vivant: Fun restaurant quickie piece.

15.) "Life Lines, Love Lines" - Jennifer Smith: Drama and sex at a Beverly Hills party. Solid read.

16.) "Black Magic Woman" - Anastasia Philips: Lusty occultish piece. Solid read.

17.) "The Stranger" - Thomas S. Roche: Truly down and dirty threesome in a bathroom stall.

18.) "Exploring Psyches" - Sage Vivant: A woman and her shrink get it on. I liked the last line of this solid entry.

19.) "Final Exam" - N.T. Morley: Fun, clever test-form write.

Yes, this book was a dirty book. But in all honesty, I think I would have liked it better if at least a couple of the stories were a bit more realistic.
Don't make fun of me!

This book gave me a few good chuckles and even made me blush at times. If you’re looking for stories that aren’t very well written, are absolutely unrealistic, and purely meant to be enjoyed for the animalistic sexual encounters, pick it up lol. It’s an easy read if you aren’t looking to be impressed lol

An excellent bachelorette party gift... short stories that, um, get to the point. Yeah, you know.
