Nathaniel and Jamie meet each other at school, on Nathaniel's first day of public school. Before this, he had not attended a "normal" school, and had no idea how the "real" world works. Luckily for him, Jamie has some answers to those questions, starting with introducing Nathaniel to hardcore, and brutal pornography. Nathaniel, feeling stirred by the things he was raised to believe are very wrong, begins to slowly transform into who he thinks he wants to be. Now, known as "Nate", Nathaniel, and Jamie begin to blur the lines between desire, and justice in those who have wronged them. The "justice" they carry out, in bloody fashion, earns them a nice little following on the dark web. How long can they go on, without being caught? Will they be caught? And, can they, as newly best friends, together, become the heirs to the dark web? This was an engaging read, for sure! The violence, and gore were great, but not over the top. This could easily be an introduction to the genre for anyone who likes torture, gore, and revenge. I felt particularly bad for Nate, having been exposed to a whole new world that he didn't know he was being indoctrinated into. You really feel bad for Jamie, too. Being a relatable loser, bullied by his peers, and basically neglected by his mother. However, you really grow to hate him, with his growing god complex. This was a great tale of the seduction of sexual violence, the greed of money, and the strength of, and lengths one will go to for friendship.
