the art is amazing as always and the horror is definitely in the room with me.

গ্রীষ্মের এক রাতে নির্জন পাহাড়ে হিকারু হারিয়ে যায়। সারারাত তাকে খোঁজাখুঁজি করেও গ্রামবাসী পায় না। হঠাৎ কীভাবে যেনো ফিরেও আসে একেবারে অক্ষত অবস্থায়! তবে সেই রাতের কিছু জিজ্ঞেস করলে হিকারু এড়িয়ে যায়। শৈশবের বন্ধুকে আর আগের মতো মনে হয় না ইয়োশিকির। বারবার মনে হতে থাকে তার বন্ধুর শরীর দখলে নিয়েছে অতৃপ্ত কোনো অস্তিত্ব। সত্যি কি তাই? কী হয়েছিল সে রাতে? কেন হিকারু গেছিল নির্জন বনে?

অ্যানিমে সিরিজ থেকে সন্ধান পাওয়া কিন্তু একটা একটা করে এপিসোড রিলিজের অপেক্ষা আমার ধৈর্য্যের বাঁধ ভেঙে ফেলে তাই মাঙ্গা পড়ে ফেলি। মাঙ্গা সিরিজে ভলিউম ৭টা। সিরিজ কিন্তু শেষ হয়নি, অসমাপ্ত রাখা হয়েছে। অ্যানিমে সিরিজের কাহিনী আবার মাঙ্গা থেকেও কম। অ্যানিমের শেষটা দেখে কনফিউজড হয়ে মাঙ্গার বাকি চ্যাপ্টার দেখতে যেয়ে দেখি কাহিনী তো আরও আছে কিন্তু বাকিটা কবে যে শেষ করবে? হিকারুর সাথে শেষে কী হবে, তানাকার ব্যাকস্টোরি, আসাকোর এবিলিটি নিয়ে এখনো জানার বহু কিছু বাকি।

হরর, মিস্ট্রি, একাকিত্ব, বন্ধুত্ব নিয়ে লেখা "The Summer Hikaru Died" ইন্টারেস্টিং একটা সিরিজ। শুরুতে যতটা ভালো লেগেছিল শেষদিকে অনেকটাই পানসে হয়ে গেছে কাহিনী খামখা টানার জন্য। গ্রামের রহস্য বিভিন্নজন বিভিন্ন ভাবে বলে কনফিউজড করে দিয়েছে। তবে শেষে আসাকোর বলা কাহিনী নতুন রহস্যের ইঙ্গিত দিয়েছে। আর এমন একটা জায়গায় কাহিনী শেষ!!!!! নতুন ভলিউম আসতে আসতে আগের কাহিনী মনে থাকবে কিনা এই নিয়ে আমি এখন চিন্তিত।

The show on Netflix was AMAZING, I had to read the whole manga. It satisfied my craving for ghost stories during the Halloween season and also had such compelling storytelling. It’s set in rural Japan, and we learn about the spirits/lore of the small town with a side plot of monster boyfriend.

someone end me right now oh my god i'm going to be sick? this volume was so good!! i love how Asako and Tanaka worked together, and the connection between Yoshiki and "Hikaru" to bring him back from the other side. Yoshiki dealing with the moral dilemmas of "Hikaru" taking lives is so real.

spoiler on chapter 40.3 - excuse my language but literally, what the fck Kurebayashi??

це було достоту кріпово й бентежно... мені знатно потріпали нерви ці розділи, чесно. сюжет розгортається так само захопливо, але дуже хочецця вийти десь покричати після усього, що відбулося в цьому томі.

мені лишається всього зопар глав, щоб кечапнутись з онґоїнґом, І Я, БЛЯХА, ЗДУРЄВАЮ ✋😭
