Oliver and Steel were just precious together. I loved having a widower MMC and his new love being someone who wasn’t jealous of the deceased spouse. Oliver was a confident DILF and an awesome dom. Steel was an alpha on the streets and a sub in the sheets. Lots of spice.

Oh this was such a cute yet surprisingly filthy little read! I haven’t read any of this series but I wasn’t lost. I am however going back and reading the rest now because I love this quirky cafe!

Steel is a werewolf who never believed he would find a mate. But he wants one. When the Barista - his uncle - sets up a date with Oliver, a widowed human, Steel realises how wrong he was.

Oliver still grieves for his wife who died 5 years ago. His daughters are grown up and he wonders if he should move on. Should he be allowed to move on?

Well well well…Oliver is a filthy dom with lots of kinky toys in his bedroom cupboard and Steel is a huge werewolf who wants nothing but to totally submit.

Loved Oli and Steel - they were surprisingly sweet as well as kinky!

Oh boy this book was juicy! I had a lot of fun reading this story and we got some major details about some of our favorite characters. Steel has grown up surrounded by his family finding love through the Barista. He is happy for them but never really thought it was for him. Things change after a full moon causes him to go into a rut. He's ready now, even though he's still uncertain. Oliver loses himself in work and his grown daughters. It helps keep the grief manageable but he's also lonely. When his long time friend, the Barista, sets him up he's not sure he's ready. Dating again after so long is nerve wracking but when he meets the huge werewolf he's been matched with the attraction is instant. Oliver and Steel are such a perfect match. I really enjoyed their dynamic and how their connection took them both by surprise. Check out this super spicy series, you won't regret it!

I was really enjoying this one until the end. I understand that both Steel and Oli are somewhat close to the Barista, but I think that whole scene with Layla and Death could have been saved for either Layla's own book or the next one as part of the beginning. It just seemed like we went from one book to a completely different one and there were a lot of different characters interacting that weren't the MCs. It took away from the ending for me, which should have been happy for our MCs and instead was very stressful as they were involved against their will in a conflict that was never theirs. I know the author is trying to keep these books connected, but there were probably other ways they could have done it.

First book I’ve read of this author and of this series (so obviously was a little confused on some background info and characters)

Very small and simple book/story, wished it was a bit longer but it was still a good book. Obviously because it was set to be small book it was a little fast and not much apart from only a few days for the story of this book but I still enjoyed it and will continue this series in my own miss matched way.

Lovely story of finding love, healing from lost and learning to love again and how to move forward and feel ok with moving on with someone else and loving again.

If I could give this novella 6 stars I would in a heartbeat! F*cking phenomenal! This one had me BALLING my eyes out and THE TWIST! I was sitting here like 👁️👄👁️ 🫪😮😧😲😭😭😭😭😭 I can’t believe the Barista did what he did.
The scene in the Cafe with Oli and Death made my heart hurt and so full at the same time. I loved this one so much!

The story itself was fine and I liked it focusing more on the human man character although I literally had to put this down and be like what the fuck...... The age gap is whatever and honestly should be the least of everyone's worries if you're reading this series lmaooo

It was cute and I like these fire rapid love stories because it's a nice escape into this weirdly perfect and sexed up fantasy world I wish I could be in versus the actual irl reality.

⭐️3.75 - this one was a WILD ride. I forget how intense Clio Evans can make her third act conflicts and this one was rough. The romance and main plot was sweet and spicy, exactly what you'd expect from a Creature Cafe novel, but the last 20% was what really sold me on this one. I love the mysterious over arching plot that tracks through all the books and the closer we get to book number 20, the more intense they become. Its just enough to keep us wanting more and exactly why I keep coming back!

Next gen chaos

Oil and Steel’s romance is similar to what we see in other books of this series—insta lust, rapid love, fitting together perfectly cause fated mates. But the other things? Wow. There is a LOT happening with the Barista’s family. You get some idea things are not going to be easy with the first part of the next gen series, but things are rapidly happening and it’s a whirlwind. Looking forward to the rest of this both for the fated mate stories but also because I need the wrap up to the family story line

I enjoyed this short read! It's nothing to write home about, but I still enjoyed myself.

The dynamic between the two main characters was interesting to read about. I'll forever be werewolf trash, so it was going to be difficult for this not to hit for me.

With how far deep in the series this installment is, however, I begin to notice just how much the problems in the Barista's life have evolved...and how lowkey lost I am since I've not read all the novellas in this series and much less in order. Oops.

I really enjoyed the story of Oliver and Steel. There was a lot of emotion with this story and I even cried 😭

Of course with it being a creature cafe novella it was super spicy with an interesting new kink of figging 🤣 don’t think I will ever be up for that!

The tension brewing after that ending is going to be brilliant when it hits the fan! Cant wait to read the rest.
