It’s not who’s outside that matters. It’s what they’ve come for.
Fifteen years later, Tahoe isn’t finished yet.
Missing pieces of information have finally surfaced—pulling everyone back to the place they vowed never to return.
Everyone is older. The scars are buried. But the Tahoe house still stands…and there’s something different about it now. Something is off.
Somewhere in the shadows, a killer waits.
When an unexpected visitor shows up, dripping with secrets and suspicion, the past begins to claw its way back.
Then someone goes missing. And the clock starts ticking.
Tahoe never forgets. Tahoe never forgives.
This is book #3 in the slow burning Welcome Home series. You won't want to spoil any secrets, so be sure to read book #1, Knock, Knock, and book #2, Who's There? before you devour this one.
Samara Cove is a psychological thriller author whose debut novel, filled with dark twists and suspense, is set to release in December 2024. Originally from the West Coast, Samara now lives in Texas, trading ocean views for endless BBQ. When not plotting fictional thrillers or hanging out with her family, Samara can be found trying (and usually failing) to keep houseplants alive or watching Tiny Kitchen on YouTube “for research.” She believes the only thing more suspenseful than her novels is waiting for the coffee to brew in the morning.
What an epic ending to a trilogy. Sad it’s over! It was a slow burn series that picked up in each book. I’m not one that really likes slow burns, but this series, the next book couldn’t come out fast enough! Can’t recommend this series, or better yet, THIS AUTHOR, enough!
There's nothing like yet another murder or two in the Tahoe neighborhood to open the third installment of Samara Cove's Knock Knock series. I've read A LOT of books this year, and not even a handful have left me as verklempt when I had to stop reading. It's Me is one of them.
I'm still smarting at Who's There revelation of Richard's surprising connection to Sarah (Kent) Harrelson's first husband's sexual harassment case that led them to the fated Tahoe home and his death. The protagonists are richly developed characters, the kids (now adults) are believable, and the ending, while a little expected, still was delivered with panache.
The storyline is so intertwined, and I'm amazed at how deftly Samara not only keeps it straight but also makes everything make sense. Frankie's genealogical research has me thinking twice about my own (!), as one never knows who or what may turn up. Alessa was a credible antagonist that I found myself rooting against to the end of the book, especially with her creepy stalker vibe. But above all else, Sarah is the cornerstone of a well-written story, fraught with regret, secrets, and difficult moral/ethical choices.
I'm offering my review of an advanced copy of It's Me without spoilers (and believe me, it's so tempting), but in my opinion, if you enjoyed the first two installments, you won't be disappointed with this conclusion that leaves you wanting a book four.

I truly enjoyed this story and was able to see how the ending started to unfold. I can honestly say it drove me crazy wondering what the letter said. I'm so glad I got answers I was wondering about and read things I didn't realized happened. Such a great ending for this story.
“It’s Me” by Samara Cove is a gripping third installment in the Welcome Home series, and Samara Cove delivers another incredible ride. Sarah finds herself back in Tahoe, and the tension is relentless from the moment she arrives. This story is packed with suspense and emotion—I felt frustrated with Sarah’s choices, held my breath through half the book, and still couldn’t stop turning the pages. She never ceases to amaze me, and the ending left me completely shook. A powerful, edge-of-your-seat addition to the series!

My review: Yes!! I was so excited for this book! If you like a twisty slow burn that will keep you guessing & questioning every character, this is your trilogy.
A new character emerges. Sarah’s long lost cousin, Alessa. How did she find Sarah? Well, that’s something you would have to ask Frankie because he’s been digging up dirt on the Kent family all on his own for the past 15 years. Unknowingly inviting danger back to Tahoe.
More dead bodies. Sarah has to go back to Tahoe to that nightmare of a house. Alessa just happens to show up in Tahoe. Is this a coincidence? Can Alessa be trusted? She insists on seeing that house. While there, Sarah gets a call. Frankie has been kidnapped. With a winter storm making it impossible to leave, a power outage with no way to call for help, & strangers she is not sure she can trust, Sarah’s world starts spinning.
“It’s Me” had all of the same twists & turns as the first two books in this trilogy. Like the other two, it had me on the edge of my seat while holding the breath I didn’t know I was holding.
When I was finishing up this book I thought, “No way. Could there, would there be a 4th? I don’t know if this can be wrapped up with a pretty little bow.” Of course it can’t, because Frankie has come upon a letter that Sarah’s mother had written to Sarah many years ago. Sarah CANNOT read this letter.
This is it? This is the end? What did the letter say?!
Well, Samara does it one more time by adding a link at the end of “It’s Me” to “The Letter”. This is the big red bow that beautifully wraps up this trilogy.

The 3rd book and a fantastic conclusion to the Welcome Home series that had all the spine tingling, edge of your seat twists that the previous other two books had. Sarah’s long-lost cousin Alessa shows up at her door out of the blue and her son Frankie gets kidnapped and she makes yet another return trip back to that dreaded Lake Tahoe house. I cringed with every step she made inside that house and feared for her life, knowing the history of what happened previously in that house. I loved all the various characters and not really knowing who I could trust and who I couldn’t because it kept me on edge and ramped up the suspense. I felt for Sarah as she doubted herself and her thoughts and actions. The plot was great and full of action and something was happening at all times. I tore through this book so fast because I just had to find out what was going to happen! And now I need to wait for the newsletter to read the letter! Thanks so much to Samara Cove for an early release copy. An amazing 5 star book!
Y’all! It’s Me is the kind of finale that creeps in slow… then slams the door behind you.
Fifteen years later, Tahoe is still watching. The characters are older, more scarred, and weighed down by secrets they thought were buried for good. When missing pieces surface and an unexpected visitor shows up dripping in suspicion, the past doesn’t stay quiet — it claws back. Then someone disappears, the clock starts ticking, and the tension goes feral. 🖤⏳
The writing is atmospheric, sharp, and deliciously patient. This is a true slow-burn thriller that trusts the reader and rewards them. As book 3 in the Welcome Home series, it delivers a deeply satisfying, chilling ending that feels earned and unforgettable.
“It’s not who’s outside that matters. It’s what they’ve come for.” Yeah… that line will haunt you. Read the series in order. Tahoe never forgets. Tahoe never forgives. 🏚️📖.

It’s Me by Samara Cove 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Thrilling, suspenseful, tense and exciting!! This is a book I didn’t want to put down!
The Tahoe house is back with more drama! Sarah finds herself stuck back at the old Tahoe home and can’t leave due to a bad snow storm. It’s the one place she never wanted to go back to. The story is full of secrets, twists and surprise shockers that I didn’t see coming!
Samara Cove is a fantastic writer and I find myself consistently sucked into all of the stories she’s written, and this latest is no exception!
This is the 3rd book in the Welcome Home series. 1.) Knock, Knock 2.) Who’s There? 3.) It’s Me
I was lucky to get an arc of this amazing book!! **It’s Me comes out December 30th and I highly recommend it!** Make sure to start with book 1 of the series!!
This is the 3rd book in a slow burn trilogy that only picked up speed with each book. Since I read this as an ARC, I fortunately was able to binge read the whole trilogy back to back. It would have been excruciating to have to wait in between! If you haven't read "Knock, Knock" and "Who's There?", definitely read them first then hurry and scoop up this thrilling conclusion.
Throughout the whole trilogy Samara Cove kept me guessing and not trusting any of the characters. Each time I thought I knew who I could trust, she threw in another twist! I love trilogies and this may be one of my favorites yet!
This is book 3 in the Welcome Home Series (Knock, Knock ) (Who’s There?).
With secrets finally revealed, the answers finally come. Having said that it’s been years later and it brings them back to the place and house they never wanted to go back to. Someone goes missing and someone new walks into Sarah’s life bringing a new spin. The book comes full circle and answers the questions I’ve been asking since book 2. I really liked how Samara tied everything up. If you haven’t checked out the series yet, it’s also available on KU.. Available Dec 30,2025 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨
The series continues and so does the suspense…are you ready to continue Sarah’s family story. The nightmare continues with book three in the series. More family drama, more family secrets and more members involved. Sarah is left in the end not knowing anyone she can trust. Will she survive the Tahoe house again? Will she survive her family’s secrets that are so deep that even when some find out, they keep it buried!
This book wraps up the trilogy centering around Sarah and her twisted family. More lies and truths come out in this book about the family history. The Kent family is so complex that you truly can not figure out who is good and bad. These are super fun twisty reads that will keep you engaged in all three books (Knock, Knock; Who's There; and It's Me).
I was lucky enough to receive an ARC copy of this book from the author.
I was fortunate to score an ARC of this book from the amazing author Samara Cove. I must admit this has to be my most favorite series yet! This book had me going from the start! Just when you think the Tahoe house is done. We’re back again with all the twists and turns. Cove does it again! Leaves us guessing till the end. Absolutely loved it!.

First I want to say is that this series was absolutely amazing. The twists and turns Samara created had me on edge and when I thought I got it right here comes another twist. As for It’s me again this was no shocker with the twists and turns. I wish it wasn’t coming to an end because there so much more I needed. I will recommend any of Samaras books because she is a phenomenal author. Also I love all of the characters. They just speak to you.
I’m not sure how she does it, but Samara Cove truly outdid herself with this final installment of the Welcome Home series. This was SO GOOD that I couldn’t put it down and finished it in one day!!!!! The multiple POVs. The storyline that grabbed a hold and didn’t let go. WOW!!!! 10/10!!!! Read this series!!!
It’s Me is the third in the Welcome Home series and I couldn’t put it down! It had me hooked on the first few pages just wanting to know more and how the series tied up. It was definitely a page turner. I love Samara Cove’s writing style. She knows how to draw you in and makes it hard to stop at “just one more chapter.”
Sharp, eerie, and absolutely gripping! “It’s Me” drags everyone back to Tahoe—and the place is more sinister than ever. Secrets explode, someone vanishes, and the tension is relentless. A killer installment that hits hard and doesn’t let up!
Loved it! Great way to tie up the series. You really have to read all 3. Samara is a great author! All the twists and misdirection, amazing! It was great to finally read the letter! I was lucky to receive an ARC of this book!
Samara Cove did it again, this was really a great last book! I seriously was hooked from the start, feeling this suspense on every single page and I was rooting for Sara during every single step on the journey, my heart in my throat! Very well done!
I loved this book it’s highly recommended I love the twists and turns and the things I think will happen and the. All of a sudden it doesn’t and then ur like oh my gosh lol I loved how it went and all the adventures I live her books
Just wish the series continued with the letter. I loved the way she seemed to make scenes that you could "see". The way she developed the characters and described things was terrific! Definitely will be reading more from this author !
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Twisty and Suspenseful writing!! I really enjoyed this last book of this series! That's not what I suspected. Very good read! Can't wait for her next release. Oh and don't forget to follow the link at the end to read the letter 🩷🩷🩷🩷
I absolutely loved book one and two in this series, and book three did not disappoint! It had so much suspense and I had no clue who to trust! I love multiple POVs. The tension was high!
This is really the best one of the series. The way I sat in my chair with my mouth gaping open at a twist, it was unreal. Every time you turned around Samara has a new plot twist. Great read!
It’s Me is a compelling and satisfying conclusion to Samara Cove’s Welcome Home series. Set fifteen years later, the story draws Sarah back into another unexpected trip to Tahoe, where unresolved family secrets, surprising connections, and unsettling discoveries come sharply into focus. Cove skillfully weaves psychological tension with elements of scientific lab work, adding depth and intrigue to an already layered narrative.
The pacing is relentless, with twists that continually challenge the reader’s assumptions. Just when you think you’ve figured things out, the story pivots—making this a true page-turner that’s difficult to put down. I stayed up far too late because I needed to know how it would all end.
Readers should also be sure to read the postscript book, The Letter, which thoughtfully addresses lingering questions and provides meaningful closure. A strong, twist-filled finale that fans of psychological thrillers and the series will appreciate.
