Chelsea only came home for the weekend, already dreading the visit. Nothing she ever does is good enough for her parents, and this time is no different—her father makes a cruel comment about her weight while her mother spirals over a dress she bought for Chelsea. Within minutes of walking through the door, Chelsea feels suffocated and desperate for escape. Thankfully, she knows exactly where to go for air—though she never expects that path to lead her straight to Cameron.
Cameron is the town’s grumpy, gorgeous mechanic with grease-stained hands, a sharp tongue, and a heart he swears he’s locked away. Their first meeting sparks with irritation, but underneath the friction is a pull neither can ignore. Chelsea, with her wit and resilience, pushes past his walls, while Cameron shows her a loyalty and steadiness she’s never known—even from her own family.
This isn’t just a story about instant chemistry (though there’s plenty of heat under the hood). It’s about breaking cycles, choosing yourself, and finding someone who doesn’t just want you as you are but treasures you because of it.
If you love grumpy/sunshine dynamics, small-town drama, and the kind of hero who proves that love is worth the risk, Falling for the Mechanic will leave you swooning long after the last page.

FALLING FOR THE MECHANIC is part of the Curvy Wives of Willowbrook Ridge series. It's a short and steamy, instalove with a slow-burn vibe, enemies-to-loversish, grumpy-sunshine, curvy virgin gets her mechanic, small-town romance. Chelsea is a 26-year-old curvy girl from the city reluctantly coming home for a visit. Cameron is a hunky, grumpy, hardworking mechanic. When Chelsea hits a pothole coming home, Cameron is the grumpy guy to pick her up. The two are drawn to each other, but also bicker. When she gets to her parents' house, things don't go well as they belittle her and put her down. She leaves upset and finds herself back at Cameron's shop. They hang out and when they get drunk, he takes care of her, but will she stay? This was a sweet story. I loved this couple. The banter was funny, the chemistry was pure fire, and the ending was so happy. Her parents were awful but please tell me we are getting a book for Finn! I loved it.
Chelsea was dreadingly coming home for the weekend to celebrate her parents’ anniversary when her car breaks down. She doesn’t have any choice but to call the auto shop for a tow. Cameron appears and it’s instalove. But Chelsea is obnoxious and has a way of driving Cameron nuts. But through all this, Cameron can’t stop thinking about her and how to make her his. Cameron is grumpy and not Chelsea’s type but the attraction pulls them together. Can they make a relationship work? Will Chelsea leave once her car is fixed? Join them as they work through not only their own issues but also their feelings for each other. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Chelsea is grudgingly back in Willowbrook Ridge for her parents' anniversary. When she hits a hole in the road, and blows a tire, she knows the day's just going to get worse. Cameron is working himself to the bone trying to prove to his uncle that the mechanics garage will thrive in his hands, even if he is grumpy.
A short novella with disapproving parents, no matter what you do, an uncle who's motives are misunderstood, and two struggling souls that find their forever. My favorite part was Chelsea finally speaking her mind.

Cat’s Stats MMC/FMC- Cameron and Chelsea Genre- Contemporary Romance Heat- virgin heroine, open door Series? Y Safety? Y Triggers- verbal abuse Tropes- Grumpy v Sunshine, Damsel in Distress, Opposites Attract, Blue Collar Hero, Dysfunctional Family FTW, You Can Go Home Again Mewsings I need Finn ‘s story and the story of his MC. Finn was such a supportive brother to her and I admire that. I thought the grumpy v sunshine was done well, and it proved that opposite personalities can find common ground. But Finn is my favorite character in the story.

This was a grunpy/grumpy trope, and the characters, Cameron and Chelsea, were so relateable. Stone conveyed that small-town feel perfectly, and the family dynamics were painfully clear, as well as the feelings they evoked. Family issues, grief, self worth & esteem all wove together with an undeniable chemistry. These two just seemed to get eachother, despite their bumpy start. I enjoyed getting to tag along on their discovery journey.

Chelsea returns home expecting only a short visit, but one grumpy mechanic completely changes her plans. Cameron may be known for his rough edges, yet Chelsea breaks through his walls with warmth and stubborn charm.
Family drama, grief, and self-doubt are woven into a heartfelt story of unexpected love. This story proves some connections are worth staying for.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Chelsea comes home for an unwanted visit. I liked how escaping her mom and work pressures leads to love with Cameron. They make a good team with her as customer relations and him as the worker.
