A kingdom once united stands fractured, its trust shattered. Shadows linger over Twilight Peak, and the whispers of dissent all point to one Elara. The Vampire Queen, who once stood as their savior against Lilith’s tyranny, now finds herself vilified by the very realm she fought to protect. Rumors of bloodlust and cruelty spread like wildfire, leaving even her closest allies questioning her true nature.
Valen, the steadfast sorcerer who fought at Elara’s side, is thrust into turmoil. The kingdom’s doubts begin to seep into his own heart, reopening old wounds and reigniting his deeply ingrained prejudices against vampires. Yet, amidst the growing darkness, Valen cannot deny the bond that ties him to Elara—a connection forged in blood, battle, and unspoken feelings.
As a new, insidious threat rises, the people of Twilight Peak are quick to lay the blame at Elara’s feet. With their backs turned on their queen, the kingdom teeters on the edge of collapse. Elara herself spirals further into isolation, haunted by her growing power and the seductive pull of the darkness within.
Valen must navigate a perilous reconciling his own fears and prejudices while standing firm against a tide of doubt and betrayal. But can he find the courage to confess the truth in his heart? Or will his hesitation cost him everything—Elara’s trust, the kingdom’s future, and her very soul?
Yajna Ramnath writes like she’s crafting spells—equal parts beauty, danger, and a little chaos.
An author of fantasy, romance, and deliciously dark romance, Yajna builds worlds where love burns, bleeds, and sometimes bites. Her stories are filled with powerful heroines who don’t wait to be saved, dangerously charming love interests who toe the line between savior and sinner, and plot twists sharper than a dagger in the dark.
When she isn’t tormenting her characters (and her readers) with emotional rollercoasters and morally grey dilemmas, she’s doing something equally intense—headshotting opponents in Call of Duty Mobile like the badass she is. Let’s just say her trigger finger is as fast as her plot twists.
Based in a world of words, Wi-Fi, and caffeine-fueled nights, Yajna writes not just to tell stories—but to create entire emotional black holes you’ll gladly get sucked into.
Dark romance with heart. Fantasy with fire. Love that lingers like a ghost.
Welcome to her world. Don’t forget to bring snacks—and maybe a sword.
Listen....my heart was in a chokehold from the first page to the last. I LOVE Elara and she went through SO MUCH in this book that I felt like my heart was bleeding over every single page for her.
What happens when you save the world and no one knows it? Those are the questions that Elara faces day in and day out after the events of Whispers of Twilight Peak. I've never wanted more characters in a book to face the consequences of their actions that I have for the bulk of this cast -- truly, I was disappointed in all of them.
There are so many layers of deceit in this book that I was on my toes the entire time. Some you can spot right away, some you don't see until too late.
This series is full of tension, yearning, fear, jealousy....you know...all the good stuff.
Perfect follow up to book one except now I'm loving Elara in her villain era. Legit, I probably would have responded the same way to what they put her through! This book is so fast paced that I read it in a single night and now I'm ready for the next one. It's like a dark gothic paranormal/fantasy soap opera, and I love it!
