Another one of my favorite coffee table books- the photographs taken by an official White House photographer are stunning and capture so much history! There will never be another president like Ronald Reagan!

I haven't even finished this book yet, but I'm going to call the ball... 5 bill-stars. Fantastic!

The author was an official White house photographer for 5 years. The photos are amazing, and the commentary is very well done. Like John Adams in my earlier review, Reagan is an giant of history and uniquely American. Ronald Reagan is not only the best president in my lifetime, he is the only president to focus on empowering the people rather than empowering himself, Washington DC, or the federal government. Reagan's presidency fueled the growth of America into our role as the lone superpower on the planet.

QOTD

The smiles disappeared after Reagan walked out on Gorbachev after the Reykjavik, Iceland summit ended in a stalemate. Essentially, Gorbachev wanted Reagan to give up research on the Strategic Defense Initiative in exchange for nuclear arms reductions. Reagan said no way and told Gorbachev their meetings were over.

Oh, for a strong, honest president! It feels like a lifetime ago. Well, it has been 30 years, so it's more than a generation ago.

This wonderful photo book has a permanent place on my coffee table!

The greatest modern day president that this country has had. We could use another one like him. Incredible pictures taken candidly during his presidency. It sits in our front room on the coffee table.
