Dan Watters is a UK based comic book writer. His first book, LIMBO, was released through Image Comics in 2016. He has since written THE SHADOW at Dynamite Comics, and ASSASSIN’S CREED and WOLFENSTEIN for Titan Comics.
Currently he is writing the relaunch of LUCIFER for Vertigo’s Sandman Universe, as well as DEEP ROOTS for Vault Comics. Deeply rooted in London Town, and firmly of the Devil's party.
The second issue in this series focuses on Methelough (that's the one-eyed purple tentacle monster) and gives her a surprising amount of characterisation for one comic strip. It's also a credit to the authors for being able to do that without giving her one word of proper dialogue.
I found this one to be both quite endearing and surprising at the same time. Unless they decide to pull a bait and switch in a later issue, it seems like this may be one of TITANS most ballsy Doctor Who comic ranges, and I'm all for it.
We also have a few more alien cameos on top of the ones in last month's release, including Zygons and Saturnyns. Nice to see them again.
