Interesting start to a new series. Elaine is a struggling writer in a bigger town. Her boss sends her home to investigate missing Christmas trees from a local tree seller. Is there more to the thefts than it first appears. Elaine interviews the tree lot owner and learns he believes in supernatural beings. It also appears the small town has suffered break ins where camping gear and food has been taken. A trip
To a local coffee shop leads to a chance encounter with a local resident from Elaine’s past

Thank you to the author for this ARC. This review is my honest opinion.

A good start to Grace Meyer's new cozy mystery. Elaine has a lot to prove to her boss that she is a great investigative journalist. Her new assignment takes her back to her hometown to investigate the mystery of the stolen Christmas trees from McRoy's Tree Farm. Although hesitant to head back home, Elaine's knows she has a job to do. This is a great start, and I could not put the book down until I was finished. According to how book one ended, book two seems promising.

Although interesting, this is not a stand-alone

This is but part one of the story and should not have been it's own novella. The story is introduced, but stops abruptly.
It is an interesting read, but it is not a romance story. Yet. I assume that comes in the next section?
I should've read the reviews to know what I was getting into. Had I not relied on the blurb, and understood what was to happen, I would probably have given it another star.

Elaine finally gets a call for a meeting with her Boss to do an investigative news story (she majored in Investigative Journalism at Columbia).
She is Ecstatic!
Then finds out its about stolen Christmas trees in her hometown of Woodstock, Vermont.
So, let's see where her investigation leads.
I received an ARC and am sharing my honest thoughts. A great read Grace.

WOW

This completely hooked me from the first page to the last. It was the suspenseful escape I was looking for today.....now I can't wait for book two. I also can't wait for Elaine to show her boss what she's made of.

A Good Book 📖

The characters were fun and very kind. The twists and turns were amazing. The mystery was enough to keep you guessing. It really has some good humor also. I enjoyed this book from start to finish.

Christmas at McRoy’s Tree Farm book 1

Cute story, nice characters. Vermont is a pretty state to make the story setting. Kind of a slow paced story.

Fun Book - Book One

This is a clean fun Book to read. I'm enjoying the characters - two sassy sisters, their parents, friends and townspeople. I love that these are series of books that are 60 - 70 pages. You can read a book a day. When it's a busy time that works well. I love a light mystery. It's just nice reading something that is a peaceful story. I love the location setting also. I recommend this series of novels to anyone.
