A pulse-pounding vampire romance novel with a bite of wit!
Billionaire playboy Robb Chatham is trying to settle down with the girl of his dreams. He wants her for her smarts, her sass, and her sweet, sweet blood. But his selfish antics - and one poorly timed selfie with a stripper - drive her into the arms of someone else.
Someone even more dangerous than Robb.
When Liz realizes her mistake, it's already too late. And when the time comes, she must make an impossible decision: to save herself, or save the vampire she's fallen in love with...
Aubrey Rose lives in sunny San Diego, where she likes to lay around in a hammock reading her favorite romances. When she’s not writing steamy stories, she can be found dancing naked in front of the mirror to Abba while her cat watches disdainfully.
I loved that Liz did not care that Rob had money or was a vampire. She did not want to be used just respected. I loved that she stayed true to her self.
Robb Chatham is a billionaire playboy who is ready to settle down with Liz but his selfish antics have driven her straight into the arms of another man and by the time she realizes her mistake it may be too late in this riveting paranormal romance.
Liz and Robb’s relationship is very strained despite the red hot passion that still burns between them. Maybe it’s because of their conflicting personalities, maybe it’s because Robb has grown up or maybe it’s because he’s a vampire and she’s human, but whatever the reason, the reader can’t help but get caught up in their story as they fail to understand each other. Their passionate clashes compete with their fiery desires at every turn providing the reader with lots of entertainment in this fast paced and smooth flowing plot that is full of suspense, excitement and relationship drama. The strong characters call to the reader from the very beginning and ensure that the reader wants to know their story.
Robb’s selfish playboy desires are driving Liz away and making it very easy for their enemy to step right in and take Liz away, of course he has very evil psychotic intentions and Liz will have to choose between saving herself or the vampire she’s fallen in love with. Spine tingling anticipation builds keeping readers on their toes as they wait to discover the outcome of Liz and Robb’s relationship and what happens with psycho vamp. The well written scenes and details bring the story to life and the well orchestrated suspense and relationship drama draws the reader into the story.
The author keeps the reader guessing with a few surprising twists and spices things up with some unique and interesting vampire elements. I was completely enthralled with the story from the very beginning and while the story can be read as a stand-alone I recommend reading Heartbitten first in order to get the full enjoyment from Robb and Liz’s story.
I was gifted this book by the Author Aubrey Rose for an honest review.
Loved reading the end of Robb and Liz's story.
Liz makes some really stupid and selfish mistakes concerning Robb and they land her in a real bad situation. Thad gets his hands on her and turns her, now she can feel how Robb feels, but although she has keen senses, strength and immortality, she feels empty inside. Not even her research for a cure for cancer thrills her anymore.
They supposedly have a cure for cancer and Vampirism that they acquired from Thad when Rob rescued her. Does it work? No one knows and they only have a syringe full to run tests on to see if it works and if it does, is Robb's love for Liz stronger then his desire to be human again? Will he sacrifice his desires for love?
Very riveting, kept me on the edge of my seat! I recommend this story to all Paranormal lovers, quite a twist from other Vampire books.
Wow this book started out with me thinking what the heck is Robb doing! I loved him in Heartbitten. Then in this book he seemed to only want one thing from Liz and he reverted back to my first impression of him.
Meanwhile one has to also be honest that Liz was so driven with her experiments and finding a cure that she was ignoring him. Both of these two made some serious mistakes that caused a horrible situation.
The author did a spectacular job of adding a shocking twist to the storyline that caused both Robb and Liz to make a life changing decision. I loved the way she worked around and through the difficulties between Robb and Liz.
The villain, Thaddeus is once again wrecking havoc and I know you will be as surprised with what happened as I was. Liz’s roommate and lab partner, Jenny as well as Gerry, Robb’s stoic butler continue to play more active roles in this second book.
And finally for me Liz’s character came into full force with who she was, how she felt and what she decided causing an ending that not only unsettled me but also caused me to think, “What would I have done?”
I sure hope there is a book 3.
I WAS GIFTED THIS ARC BY THE AUTHOR FOR AN HONEST OPINION

**I received an ARC of this story for an honest review
This is the second book in a new vampire series by Aubrey Rose. Having not read the first one yet, I was not sure how I was going to like this book. Luckily, the author did not disappoint.
Robb Chatham is a billionaire vampire who is adjusting to feeling emotions for Liz for the first time since he became a vampire over four hundred years earlier. Liz is a scientist who is trying to create a cure for leukemia, which as a side effect, would also cure vampires. She is not used to having a boyfriend, especially someone like Robb. The end result is an argument that is the catalyst to all the problems that ensue.
I really enjoyed this story. I accepted the explanation for Robb's behavior that would have otherwise made me not like him. I really liked Liz and understand her drive and determination, especially once she realizes and experiences first-hand how Robb feels. The only complaint I have is how Liz acted towards Robb that started the fighting. I really didn't understand he behavior and there really wasn't an explanation. I can't wait to go back and read the first one.
Bloodstricken is the second in the series, after Heartbitten (A New Adult Vampire Romance Novel). It continues the story of Liz and Robb, picking up where the first left off. I started reading it immediately after finishing the first. Bloodstricken is action packed and, like the first book, I couldn't put it down. The story is so well written, with complex characters and a well developed environment, that you feel as if you are there. I want these characters to be real, and I want to know them! We world totally be friends!
Thank you, Aubrey, for such great stories!
I received a copy of Bloodstricken in exchange for an honest review.
