Rate this book
A vanished treasure. A looming scandal.
Five women with everything to lose.

Royal Princess Rajkumari Lila Singh arrives at the Annual Royal Unity Summit (ARUS) and lingers over an ancient relic collection. Hours later, those very relics vanish without a trace and suddenly Lila and her four new friends, dubbed by gossip tabloids as "The Scandal Club," are the heist's only suspects.

Unless they uncover the truth, rumors will harden into public disgrace, destroy their prospects, and ignite an international diplomatic firestorm.

Standing beside Lila is Daniel Harrowind, the enigmatic young Duke who may be her strongest ally. Yet his steady loyalty sets in motion a scheme Lila has long fought against.

Armed with wit, warmth, and the unshakable strength of found family, five unlikely women sleuths turn crisis into sisterhood, blending cozy mystery intrigue, a slow-burn romance, and a feel-good women's fiction.

Ocean’s 8 ingenuity meets Bridgerton sparkle in an intriguing caper where women’s friendship and high-society stakes collide.

Will the five Scandal Club ladies untangle the frame-up before the high-stepping Summit delegates — and the tabloids — brand them guilty?

I found Avani Clare's prequel, The Scandalous Five, in June. I was intrigued. Absolutely loved it! Emailed the author to let her know I was excited to continue reading their story. Now for the next part of their tales.

Just finished Reading the first book in the series. Again Absolutely love the storyline and the characters. I kinda want to be friends with all of these ladies!

If you have read the prequel, you have an idea of what is going on. (If you haven't read it, go do that now!) I so want to sit down and talk about this story with someone... I love where it is going.

Now to wait a month for part 2... patience... :)

I did sign up for an advanced reader copy that I received for free. My comments and review are 100% my own.

After The Scandalous Five gave us a delicious taste of mischief and mayhem, Avani Clare returns with Framed, the first full-length book in the series — and this time, the spotlight shines on Lila. And oh, what a spotlight it is.

Imagine five high-powered women, each a force of nature, gathering at a royal summit for what should’ve been a classy, diplomatic event… until someone decides to swipe everything from the museum. Suddenly, our leading ladies are not just fabulous — they’re suspects. The audacity!

Framed is a clever blend of sass and suspense, where the art heist mystery is just as enticing as the fierce female friendship at its core. Watching these women — all wildly different yet perfectly complementary — team up to clear their names and support each other is as satisfying as a perfectly timed plot twist. Clare gives us intrigue, wit, and a subtle reminder that when women unite, they don’t just survive — they thrive.

It’s a quick, engaging read that leaves you right on the edge of a delicious little cliffhanger, the kind that makes you whisper, “Oh, Avani… you didn’t,” while already reaching for book two.

In short: think Oceans 8 meets The Crown, but with more heart, sharper humor, and a sisterhood you’ll want to join — even if it means getting framed.

Framed: Mystery of the Lost Relics

5 high powered women form an unlikely friendship but will it suvive being accused of orchestrating an art heist?

Having read the prequel, The Scandalous Five, I knew who everyone is and what lead up to the events in this book. If you haven't read it, do so now.

Meeting at a summit, these women find something in common but by spending time together in the museum, they are classed as people of interest after every single item is stolen. But who is really behind tge theft and why have they been framed?

You get to see how these women work together to overcome not just the accusations but also how to support each other. This is a fun story that focuses on letting women shine and be strong and seen in a world were they are often looked over. The intrigue of the heist is fun as well. Trying to figure it out at the same time as the characters keeps you guessing.

As it's a quick read, you are left on a small cliffhanger which makes you want the next book so you can see if it all works out and who is behind it all.

Framed, The Mystery of the Lost Relics, book 1 continues where the prequel left off. This book expounds on each character and their backgrounds. Each character has a part to play in this story to not have a tragedy happen and they all step up to the plate. I was even more impressed with this storyline and can’t wait for the next installment so I can find out what happens next. Absolutely worth the read, make sure you grab the prequel and read it first, then dive right in. You’ll love this five-star read, I know I do.

I'm hooked. I love love love this book, just like I did the prequel.

It's a must read for me, 9 out of 5 stars. I've even preordered the next 2 books already.

Avani Clare is a very talented writer. She weaves the stories and characters so well. Her pacing is spot on too.
However, she seems to be a somewhat cruel person as well.... I'm in agony waiting for the next book in the series. I need it in my hands today, possibly tomorrow.... So cruel....

I think I expected this to finish not abruptly stop so this is left on a cliffhanger.

Descriptive detail about each of the five women from various walks of life who are brought together in an unexpected way but most focus is on Lila and Daniel’s point of views. Felt it was maybe a bit choppy or stilted but definitely different from other stories I’ve read so far.

Oh! it ended tooooooo soon! I am going to go back and reread the prequel so I can prolong the experience. Thoroughly enjoying reading about these five feisty women - and their gentleman friend. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
