Death and Lemonade

Rate this book
A lemonade empire up for grabs. A cutthroat competition. A murder that's anything but refreshing.

Summer in Sugar Creek is off to a zesty start as the town buzzes over an eccentric new event—Margot Langford, heir to Sugar Creek's legendary Langford Lemonade, is giving her empire away. The catch? Hopefuls must compete for the business in a grueling test of skill, charm, and entrepreneurial spirit. Locals, out-of-towners, and an alarming number of eccentrics flood Sugar Creek for the chance to claim the prize.

Abby Hirsch has no intention of competing—until she gets roped into the challenge and finds herself facing off against a colorful cast of contestants. But the competition takes a deadly turn when one of the hopefuls is found murdered, and it becomes clear that someone is willing to kill for a taste of success.

With the suspect list longer than the line at the lemonade stand, Abby juggles clues, cutthroat contestants, and her increasingly complicated relationship with Sheriff Ryan Iverson. Thankfully, she has Cassie, Ginger, and her ever-curious pup, Cocoa, at her side—because in Sugar Creek, solving a murder is never a solo act.

Can Abby outwit the competition and unmask a killer before Sugar Creek's biggest event turns into a recipe for disaster? Or will she be the next one squeezed out?

With humor, heart, and a mystery as refreshing as an ice-cold glass of lemonade, Death and Lemonade is the perfect read. Pour yourself a tall glass and dive into another delightful whodunit in the Sugar Creek Mystery Series!

Death and Lemonade

Once again a Nova Walsh murder mystery that adds depth to the characters involved. Her storytelling is remarkable because she is able to create a mystery that is clean, sweet, and can keep readers like myself who are looking for reads that are light and not filled with psychological horror. I’ve now read all her Sugar Creek Mysteries and am eagerly awaiting a next book! Thanks for providing such entertaining reads that relax my sometimes overly stressed days!

Great Book!

Exciting, suspense, and crazy thrill ride. I couldn't stop reading. Family drama can be crazy at times.

It amazes me how family can hurt each other so easily for years. Disagreements can be solved with communication.

Nova is a brilliant writer. I will be reading all the books in this series.
