Shaped poetry. Highly experimental verse with emphasis on psychological distress. Topics are often dark, including mental hospitals and suicide attempts. Not for the faint of moral constitution.
In 1986 at twenty six years old, Brian left his hometown to pursue an art career in Los Angeles. While his professional aspirations foundered, his creative ones did not. He cartoons and writes witticisms that reflect life where things do not win big. His disdain for festive advice givers offers pessimistic readers laughter amid their travails. Brian's work seeks identification with those like minded, whether they have histories of substance abuse, support groups or psych ward travesty. He communicates across to interested readers. He does not instruct, advise or presume expertise in any manner.
