When people think of movement, they often assume it means exercise. What I love about this book is that it shifts that perspective and shows that movement is really the culmination of the small actions you take throughout your day. It encourages you to view movement as a lifestyle rather than a workout.

As someone who works from home and spends much of the day at a desk, I appreciated the book's focus on small, sustainable changes that can easily fit into a busy schedule. It helped me see that moving more doesn't have to mean carving out an hour for the gym it can start with simple choices throughout the day.

The book provides practical strategies that anyone can start using today, regardless of their fitness level. The advice feels approachable, achievable, and empowering. By the end, you'll feel equipped with the tools and motivation to move more, improve your well-being, and live life to the fullest.

If you're looking for inspiration along with actionable steps you can implement right away, this is the book for you!

Really wanted to like this, but it wasn’t a good fit.
The tone really lost me early. Ended up skimming a lot. The premise is supposed to be pretty democratic, but it gets into gym-bro speak quickly. There’s a lot of back and forth. Sometimes the advice is approachable/doable, other times it’s intense & a little alienating. Toggles back and forth. There’s a lot of intermediate & advanced stuff mixed in with the beginner stuff. (Some of it might just be the problem of expertise— if the author is a high-performer who trains high performers, it’s harder to put yourself in the mind of a beginner assessing difficulty.)

I think it needed more early readers/editors that were less immersed in gym culture to make the language & habits more accessible. I’ve been coming out of a prolonged illness and was hoping this book would be something in my reach. I’d say maybe 10% of it was accessible me, and most of those movement recs were things I’d already heard in other places. I think this is maybe more a book for the author’s existing fanbase vs a beginner.

I've read a lot of wellness and self-improvement books and what I appreciated most about this one was its tone. The author doesn't make you feel like you're doing everything wrong or that you need to completely overhaul your life. Instead, the book meets you where you are and offers realistic ways to make positive changes. I found myself reflecting on how often I let a busy schedule become an excuse for putting my own well-being on the back burner. The ideas in this book felt manageable and helped me rethink what it means to take care of myself on a daily basis. The writing is relatable and easy to follow and I now have a ton of ideas I could put into practice right away. Definitely worth reading if you want practical motivation that doesn’t feel heavy!
