Preacher James Dixon's charismatic ways has gotten him between a rock and a hard place with two women. Newly installed as a pastor, Preacher J. Dixon's past comes beckoning and creates chaos in the church. Finding himself starring down the barrel of a gun, Pastor Dixon's life just might come to an end.
A four-time published author, Tamara Rashelle discovered her love for storytelling in grade school, crafting imaginary books, characters, and even author names instead of turning in assigned book reports. That early spark grew into a lifelong passion, leading to the release of her debut Christian fiction novel, Buck, Wild and the Preacher, followed by its drama-filled sequel, Preacher’s Heart. She later shared her own powerful testimony through two more books, offering readers a transparent look at healing, faith, and freedom. In addition to writing, Tamara Rashelle is the founder of Everybody’s Favorite Auntie, LLC, a faith-centered brand offering plant-based meal prep, spiritual coaching, and counseling. Her coaching extends to ghostwriting and mentoring aspiring authors, guiding them through the process of bringing their own stories to life. Whether through fiction, personal testimony, or helping others find their voice, her mission is to lead others toward purpose, healing, and hope—one story at a time.
First, I would like to thank Tamera Rashelle for providing me with this book so I may give you this review.
WOW!! What a book!! Buck, Wild and the Preacher read like I was watching a Tyler Perry movie! It was awesome! This book had everything from bitch slaps, to cat fights, jealous woman trying to sink their claws into the new preacher, love triangle, foul language, characters with unique names, a sexy horny preacher whom couldn’t keep it in his pants-yet looking for a wife, families coming together to heal from crisis, and erotic scenes.
I loved the chemistry Preacher Dixon and Trina shared with eachother. Their flirty banter back and forth cracked me up at times. He wanted someone he could have marriage material with. Trina was everything he wanted in a woman and more.
You would never think a book with Preachers, Pastors, and God would/could be turned into book with sexual scenes and situations. If I had a Preacher that looked like PJ with hard abs-I would go back to church!
Buck, Wild, and the Preacher was nothing like I expected! I loved this book! It has so many plot twists that keep you wanting to find out more. The characters were so accurately described that I felt like I knew them and their struggles were so realistic and relatable. This book covers a whole lot of issues and all of it points back to God and how he has it all under control.
PJ is starting out as a pastor under the guidance of the previous pastor after a life that didn't glorify God. Being a single pastor, women are trying to get him interested, but two catch his eye. Soon he's in a messy love triangle and on top of that they're best friends. Though he knows which one he sees himself spending his life with, he can't seem to let go of the other.
This book has a great message of healing and faith. I really enjoyed reading it and can't wait for more! I highly recommend it!
A book with a bit of mystery, adventure, lots of twists and turns. Don't skip any part or you will be lost for sure. Trina wakes up with a gun in her hand and blood of her lover on her. Only problem is she doesn't know how either one got there but has an idea as to who put them there. She may be fiesty and sometimes rides her high horse high. But she wouldn't shoot her boyfriend over a petty fight would she? Preacher James or Pj as we come to know him. Is lying in a pool of his own blood. Going in and out of consciousness he sees and hears his killers, but he also sees his future wavering in and out of his sight. Before it all goes black. Why why didn't he listen to his gut and make sure to leave early.....
This was a good story with a lot of surprising plot twists and turns. I enjoyed getting to know the characters and look forward to finding out what new adventures come their way in the next book!
Buck, Wild and the Preacher by Tamara Rashelle! I enjoyed this book from beginning to end. The struggles with faith, love, trust, and forgiveness is real. Awesome job Tamara, need a part 2.
This one wasn't one of my favorites but it did keep my attention and I enjoyed the plot and characters. It was a fairly juicy storyline and it interested me. I am glad I got to review this
Buck, Wild and the Preacher is an interesting read. I really enjoyed reading PJ and Trina's story. It is full of twists and turns. The plot moves along at a steady pace and holds the readers attention. There was so much packed into this book. The characters are well developed and well rounded. I found them to be believable and I could identify with one or more of them a time or two. There were some reprehensible characters that you love to hate and some you really love too. I would highly recommend this book to others. It isn't for everyone though due to the religious themes running throughout the book. There are also other mature or controversial subjects as well. I can't wait to see what happens in the next book!
