Never Giving Up . . .

Brooke Chase has been hoping for a promotion. Her campaigns have always exceeded expectations, but her boss, Mia Mitchell, tells her that talent is not enough for leadership. She won't be taken seriously unless she can tone down her exuberance. Board members want data-driven strategies without emotion. Brooke has one of those bubbly personalities that people either love or can't stand to be around for too long. So once again she is told to "tone down the sunshine". So after talking to her mom who reminded her that her business approach is perfect for her and defines who she is, a person who cares and brings light to dark situations. That is what works for her and the "corporate world" may be the wrong environment for her approach. As if in answer to her situation, her laptop chimes and a former project of hers had been noticed. She was invited by Margot Moretti, the owner of Heartstring Hill Heritage Vines, to meet with them to discuss fresh marketing approaches for their family-owned business during a 10-week period. She emails Margot to say she is interested and Margot phones her to talk. She does warn Brooke that they have been "stuck" in their ways and this may be difficult to change. She will work with her nephew Oliver, their wine scientist and production manager. But Brooke is used to marketing skeptics. So she decides to leave Manhattan and head for the vineyard that has been struggling to be successful and where her unique approach to success may be valued.

As warned, Brooke encounters Oliver Moretti who doesn't appreciate the cheerful consultant who is ready to shake up his family business. But working together, attitudes begin to change. Will their attraction develop into something unexpected? Or will Oliver panic over the atmospheric pressure dropping and erratic wind patterns
threatening equipment disaster... and instead of warning her, would he lash out when Brooke's multimedia event heads toward an embarrassing public failure in front of over three thousand people? Could this be the end of their relationship as well as the failure of her business approach? Would they realize that what turned into multiple system failure was the real cause of the disaster, was out of her control, and would have prevented her excellent backup plan from saving the day as it normally would have? And is Oliver ready to push away his own fear and try to fix the damage he has done to her heart? Or is it now too late?

I bought this book because I liked the books by this author I have previously read and was not disappointed by purchasing it!

Ella has written a wonderful story about a marketing person who has been passed over for promotion because she is too energetic and full of sunshine and optimism for board members according to her boss. She receives an email praising her work and asking for her help with a vineyard on the verge of closing down who needs help. She accepts the job and moves to the small town with hope and enthusiasm and runs into a stone wall in the form of the owners nephew who is managing the vineyard.

She falls in love with the place and the people and even the grumpy nephew who manages the operation and his scientific method for producing the best wines.

Both have past fears that surface as they work together and an attraction grows but when circumstances she’s has no control over disrupt her careful plans she has planned he lashes out publicly to humiliate her. After the outburst he finds her vision has increased their visibility and business in spite of what happens and he has to decide if he can convince her to stay before she leaves the next day!

This story is so true to life! In every relationship one has to seriously look at it and decide if you can choose love over fear and let courage give you the strength to face your fears and the future you want to embrace.

I loved this book and I wholeheartedly and enthusiastically recommend it to everyone who enjoys clean, no spice reading but a story that will captivate and pull you in and keep you turning the pages to find out what happens next!

This is the first in a new series and I will read the next book for sure and probably the entire series.

I certainly don’t regret my decision to buy this book and I’m sure you won’t either!

What a perfectly balanced book! Heartfelt in the right places, emotional in others, character growth and development, great supporting characters. It’s like where the horizon meets the distance with beauty in between.

A great blend of technical knowledge and creative brilliance dumbed down to make it easy to read, understand, and connect with.

I love a good grumpy/sunshine story. The characters are wonderful and the story realistic. It's filled with heartfelt, honest emotion, a slow burn romance and the hope of new beginnings. Excellent writing and small town charm. This was such a sweet story. Looking forward to the other books in this series.

Enjoyed the great majority of it. Thought the last couple chapters could have been condensed significantly.
