As someone who lives in the Everglades, this book interested me.
There are parts of this book that I will never use, but I still found some things that got my interest. I find value in gaining information, even if I will never use it. I think it's helpful to understand other peoples practices and ways.
I'm going to hear him talk about this book in a couple of days. So, I may edit this review if I feel that I should.
I think this book does a good job of covering different facets of southern magical practice. I would recommend reading this.

This book delivers exactly what it promises. An immersive swamp atmosphere with plenty of spells and historical folklore. Extremely well-written and the formatting makes it easy to reference.
