Just finished this book and I really enjoyed it. The Librarian of this town is looking forward to the towns festival as she is planning to enter the Apple Turnover Bake-Off.
She finally found another recipe of her Grandmother's recipe for her award-winning Apply Turnovers and she is going to enter to try and win. While strolling through the town the women who has won the Apple Turnover bake-off for the last 5 years came up to her and started saying things that were not true to her but the people around her were now judging her and she did not like what was happening. The next day she was at the festival as it was the grand opening and then the bobbing for apples contest was next and she wanted to watch. The contest just started and then there was a scream and of course she was watching to see what had happened. The organization of the festival was found dead in a barrel of water. If you want to follow along with this story check out this Novella, you will found out lots. Happy reading. Off I go to find my next read in all the books I have.

This is the first in the series. The main characters are Violet and Jack. Violet has been entering the Apple Turnover competition for 5 years and has always come in second to Martha . But this year she feels sure she will win. She has been using her grandma's recipe and found some new notes that she feels will make the difference. On opening day of the festival, Martha id found dead in a barrel of apples used for apple bobbing. The police chief is sure Violet did because she was seen arguing with Martha shortly before she is found. Violet and Jack knew she didn't do it because they were together the entire time but the chief is just as sure that she did and isn't even looking at anyone else . Violet and Jack start to investigate and soon learn quite a bit. But is it enough and soon enough to save Violet ?

Was this “book” written by AI?

Seriously it’s that bad… first off the story is only 90 pages, so $2.99 for the “book” is a ripoff… and then there are so many errors, as other reviews have pointed out though they were much nicer in their ratings… it’s beyond ridiculous… clearly this book was written but never proofread or edited… it’s exactly the tripe I would expect from AI and wouldn’t be surprised if it was… I will NEVER READ ANOTHER Maisy Marple book again… I wish I could give a single ⭐️ to the author as well…

Totally enjoyed this exciting apple turnover tome

I thought this was a great idea for a story and it quickly sucked me in. When rival baker Martha started threatening Violet with recipe theft, my blood pressure just shot through the roof. Ooo! I just had to see this lady get her comeuppance. Then she got murdered and the real story began. Definitely kept me on the edge of my seat.

Maisy Marple has out done herself with this delightful twisted mystery of greed, revenge, envy, and murder! All while surrounded by the delights of the local Apple Harvest Festival and small town characters you will love and distrust... all true Maisy Marple style!

A few plot irregularities

Spoilers here: Hank is “shocked” both times he supposedly finds out about Martha’s will; somehow Pamela is mistaken for “the real Gina”, and other duplications of events and conversations.

A baking competition turns into murder!

The small town librarian is suspected of murdering a competitor with poison.
So many secrets surrounding the apple festival.

Lots of suspects...each plausible for the murderer.

A quick read with lots of interesting characters and clues to follow.

This was one of the worst written books I have read. Multiple errors and in need a an editor. I am deleting the rest of the books by this author. AI? Not worth my time.
