Sterek "No," he repeated impatiently. "I'm not a cop. I'm someone who wants to exchange my money for your sexual services. I was told you were in that line of work."
"I, uh, yeah, sorry," Stiles said. He glanced around again and then up--the full moon was almost directly overhead. Just one of those nights, maybe. "Yeah, I am. I do that."
Okay, Stiles is a 16 yr old runaway prostitute in San Francisco. After about a week on the job, his pimp texts him that "Black Camaro" (or rather this particular dude we all know and salivate over)--
--would like a beej. And there begins our tale.
I don't even know what to say, people, I'm not feeling particularly coherent today--but I was just so impressed by this one. It broke my heart in the best way possible--and yet it was so sweet and bordered on shades of fluff in some parts. In other parts, it was even realistic. This is one of the few fics/books I've read where an eating and pooping schedule is mentioned. I don't normally care--that's a little too much reality for my prostitution-fantasy--but I appreciated that it was mentioned several times. So much better than the rent boy who consumes a chili cheese dog then goes out for an evening of buttsex.
I loved what the author did with the characters--Laura, Derek, Stiles, the Sheriff, Scott, Heather, fucking Chris Argent. I loved how she reimagined--you know what, I'm not going to say anything more about the plot. It's not hard to figure out what's going on, but it was so enjoyable reading it I don't want to ruin it for anyone else. Okay, here's one teeny-tiny-you-could-get-this-from-the-tags-hint: .
And lest I forget the most important part--SEX. It is fantastic. (Btw, all the sex is with Derek--there are no descriptive scenes of Stiles with other men.) We've got kinks for everyone--some light bondage, fisting, comeplay, barebacking, felching...and, oh yes, waterworks.
I am most sincerely not a fan of waterworks. I didn't think there was a way in which anyone could write about urine that I would find, I don't know, interesting? At all? Normally, I would've skipped this fic because of it but I'd heard that Dira Sudis is one of the fanfic authors who apparently doesn't believe we GRers are made of sheer evil. So I decided to give it a chance and I'm so glad I did. I was still a little grossed out by the idea of waterworks and yet the scene just felt so...so...intimate. I dunno, I don't even have the words to talk about it. But in this fic at least, golden showers has joined felching and fisting in my I-don't-wanna-do-it but-it-sure-is-hot-reading-about-it category.
But it's not all sexy sexy golden showers fun times. There is a gross perfect amount of cuddling. And kissing. And at one point Derek makes Stiles homemade hot chocolate with caramel. Also, there's a couple of scenes involving peanut butter cups that made my heart clench. This is what I'm talking about when I say "shades of fluff."
Okay, this is the complaint section. I don't feel like complaining too much because as it is I love it--but I didn't feel like writing a long review either and look what this has turned into. Anyway, I thought it was odd Derek wasn't more possessive. But if he had been, the plot wouldn't have worked out and it'd be a different fic entirely. So, okay, fine. I wanted a more "we'll be together forever" ending. But, okay, that would've been unrealistic. And the end is just so squishy happy--so what else do I want? MORE, that's what. I want a sequel or 200 more pages. More time with Derek and Stiles in a relationship, more time with the other characters.
That's my biggest complaint--IT'S SO GOOD I NEED MORE.
OMG! This story made me an emotional wreck. I read it as a WIP (which I never do but this one was updated regularly) and the anticipation of each update added to my enjoyment.
Stiles is 16. He runs away to San francisco (because of reasons) and becomes a prostitute. Derek is ONE of his customers.
There is LOTS and LOTS of sex. The sex with Derek is hot and and filled with emotions that neither one of them are brave enough to admit. I was dying for these two to tell each other what they wanted and needed from the other. But they were both too scared.
Stiles also has sex with other men because he's still a prostitute. Those scenes tore me up. They're not very explicit but they're heartbreaking.
There's also a watersports scene which I was kind of dreading. I though it would be EWWW (which it was a little at first) but I actually found it really intense and full of feeling.
I have to admit that I was a little disappointed with the ending. Also, what is there melted me but I wanted MORE. More feelings and declarations, especially from Derek. But, as Rosa pointed out to me, that probably wouldn't have been realistic. What I need then is a SEQUEL!
"I'll keep you warm." *sigh* ["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
A 365 pages long Sterek?! Well, there's a first time for everything. :-0
DNF. Okay, so I found this an odd combo of almost hypnotic writing and terribly unsexy sex scenes and a plot that had potential but never took off.
What I liked: * the writing was remarkably error and clumsiness free and the pacing was slow, but compelling. * the plot idea had potential and for a long time, I was properly hooked and wondered where things would be headed.
What didn't work for me: * the characters completely lacked a spark. I didn't feel chemistry, this didn't feel very Sterek-y to me. Derek was emotionally stunted in an unattractive way, apparently suave enough to look cool and drive his Black Camaro with Stiles latched I wish her weird role in this fic had been handled differently, because she was damaging to Derek's image. Stiles just didn't seem right either. His position became more untenable as time passed and . * that whaddafah? * the sex, however plenty, was clinical. It felt like they were working their way through '1001 sexual acts' in a way that very much felt like a medical procedure. No build up, no lust or chemistry. It surprised me that over the course of the story these sessions didn't develop into something more than
Stiles runs away at the age of 16 to San Francisco and becomes a prostitute. Derek aka Black Camaro is one of his customers and he's definitely his favorite.
There's a lot of sex.
We have e.g. barebacking, comeplay, fisting and watersports. I didn't want to read it because of watersports, but others said it didn't gross them out. So, I gave it a go and it did, sort of, felt intimate.
I expected this to be more heartbreaking. It did broke my heart at the end, but I wanted more angsty stuff before that.
I was happy and sad at the same time it ended, because I want more! I'm curious how Stiles deals with all the things he went through and I would want more of Stiles and Derek actually being in a relationship.
4.5 stars I could not. Put this book down. For three days straight.
Sooooo good. I loved the rent boy stuff and of course Derek and Stiles's interactions most. It probably went on just a tad too long, but every scene was so good!. Can you believe out of everything, it's the golden shower scene that I keep revisiting?!? WTF! It was just so erotic, and emotional, and vulnerable and perfect. I'm using the excuse that this only worked since Derek is a shifter, and therefore it meant something different/more to him that a human. And Stiles as well as the reader could pick up on that. But, DAMN
When the book started wrapping up, I wasn't sure if I liked where it was going But it did work out to allow Stiles to return to being a bit of a kid
The lack of half a star is for it starting to drag a little before the climax, and because I was hoping for a better explanations as to Derek's reasoning. It was okay, but actually fairly simple
I may come back with more comments later, but for now it's late, and I'm going to bed (before midnight for the first time in three nights!)
I loved the whole Stiles as a prostitute thing. I can’t help it, I love my tortured characters!
And Derek as Stiles’ best paying customer! Oh yeah!
In this one Stiles is from Beacon Hills, and it turns out Derek and Stiles know each other vaguely from there. Derek is a werewolf, Laura is alive and Scott has never been bitten.
I was a bit underwhelmed by the reason Stiles turned to selling his body. It was pretty unrealistic, but okay… I went with it.
And I was pretty surprised by the talent this writer has for describing a scene that normally would have totally grossed me out. Yes, we are talking about watersports. But it was done really well. And I could understand it more because it was a wolf thing to do. It wasn’t that Stiles was totally on board with it, but he did it for Derek and it turned out okay.
There is also fisting, but yet again, it all felt so intimate. None of it felt incredibly kinky or over the top gross. It was sweet and tender actually. So don’t let these things stop you from reading this. Because I am not a big fan of these things, but I really enjoyed the book anyway.
My one major complaint was the ending. I wanted more. I felt like the book stopped too soon. I wanted more closure.
This fic had me hooked from beginning to end, despite the excessive length. It could do with some editing to cut it down a bit, and some scenes seemed out of place (), though the made slightly more sense after more was revealed about Derek and where Stiles fit in his life. Other than those things, their relationship had a nice build-up, and I liked watching their struggle to keep things professional when clearly their feelings for each other were anything but.
What really hit me in the gut was finding out Stiles' reason for running away, then discovering that . That would cause some major mental and emotional trauma if I were in that situation. But hey, he did get Derek, so that's something.
5+ kinky heaven stars I absolutely loved every second of this book. Thank you to my Kinky Sag Sister for the recommendation! Just.... awesome. Definetly an absolute favorite-reread-kinky-heaven-with-lots-of-good-feelings book. So this totally happened while I was reading this last night: I was sitting on the couch watching The Office with my boyfriend. The episode ends and I said, "I'm going upstairs because I'm reading a book where someone just got fisted and they are about to get peed on and I can't wait anymore. Goodnight."
My update at 77% even thought it was the whole book from the very beginning: "In decent detail they are actually talking about eating, pooping, cleaning out, and aversions to putting mouths, fingers, and tongues near anuses and rectums that have not been cleaned out. FINALLY! I've read books where they hint at it, but not like this. This is phenomenal!! Maybe I am the only one but this stuff does not gross me out. The authenticity is super sexy."
I'm going to have to agree with most other reviewers on the main flaws of this thing - namely the vaguely unsexy sex scenes and the slight absurdity of the premise (Stiles is more rational than that, folks).
But there are also some big, big pluses. The Hooker Life is handled in an extremely realistic manner, and I learned some stuff I had no idea about, and the relationship development is... extremely realistic as well, and smooth and engaging and lovely.
Highs and lows, basically, but there's some interesting character reinterpretation and lovely visuals, so provided you have a decent tolerance level for long, frequent sex scenes that are nothing like [comparisons are nasty though, aren't they? Let's not]'s I'd say give it a go.
This has a lot of heart, a lot of feels, and a LOT of sex. Some very intimate and intense sex that makes Stiles and Derek grow closer under the guise of paid services. Stiles broke my heart but I was comforted by Laura and Derek as his quiet protectors.
Despite being one of the raunchiest Teen Wolf fan fiction stories I've read to date (golden showers and all), despite Stiles being a rent boy (and not the Pretty Woman needs a rich man to save him sort either this story has a really tender side. I get the feeling that the author has great sympathy, and understanding for the characters. I really love the role Laura plays in the story, and I'm glad it's not about Derek saving Stiles from himself, and the big bad world. I like that, even in the end, Stiles' still needs professional help, and that his time on the streets changes him. There is no magic penis, no sexing their way to good mental health, and I appreciate that. I also appreciate that Derek needs Stiles as much as Stiles needs Derek, and that are able to help each other. A really good, really sexy long story.
So this story..I can't believe how much I loved it, because if anyone had put the bare bones of the story before me I'd have said no way, nu huh, not for me. And yet it was for me. Oh, it so was for me. I have decided it worked for me because it is fan fiction.I don't know why this makes it work, makes me love it, but it does.
This story is all about Stiles (oh, okay - so major clue their why I liked it and even though he 16 year old Stiles in my head he's WAAAAAAAY older than that. Okay.) And I lvoe reading about Stiles. I love his thought process, his brain is a beautiful place and fan-fiction generally (and this is no exception) gets Stiles down pat. Perfectly written Stiles is a wonderful thing.
It took me a little longer to reconcile Derek's 'role' in this story. I did manage too, but it did make me uneasy to start with. The author cut a very, very fine line between abuse of trust and 'that's life' - but she managed it (IMO) and more than anything I could see the (un-discussed) love Derek had for Stiles.
DNF at 85% - combination of reading and skimming. I gave this a very fair chance I feel. But it was heading toward one to two stars and I just didn't feel like wasting any more time on it.
I picked this up thinking it might be another A Mating Moon - it is not. I seem to be not on the same wave length as this Sterek author. I have read another Sterek by them and it didn't work for me either. I seem to have an interest in this author's plot bunnies, but as soon as I start reading their work, I realize the poor bunny has been slaughtered. Basically their work is too bizarre for me and just doesn't make sense. The sex is really twisted too in the context of the situations. Derek and Stiles are barely recognizable and this didn't feel much like a Sterek. As rent boy smut it works, but don't look for too much more than that from this one. If you are looking for a similar Sterek rent boy AU, A Mating Moon is much better suited and better composed.
I couldn't resist this...like seriously could not resist. 15 mins into the new year...waiting to pick my children up from New Years party...what should I be reading? Challenge books...nope. I had to start this, it called to me...I did force myself, after a nap to read a couple challenge books...but then I couldn't wait, and had to finish this. It was addicting.
How often can you say that "watersports" was done in a non-yucky way? (sure, I don't shy away from it, but it's not something that I've ever said, it was kinda sweet before)
I'm not going to try to put up gifs...scroll around. There are beautiful ones all over this page. If you're not big on the kink tags, don't let them scare you away. They were all well done, and hot as hell.
I like the setup. I like the plot. I read this whole fic, anticipating what'll happen next. But I also found myself bored. You know something is wrong with a story if it's midnight, you're procrastinating sleep by reading fics, and the fic you're reading is making you drowsier.
A lot of the sex scenes felt like PWP even though the overarching plot is very compelling. The middle of the story lagged for this reason. The sex itself was more clinical than erotic, which didn't help. The fact that Derek is going through his kinks with Stiles as a rent boy while simultaneously trying to help Stiles not be a rent boy is kind of skeevy.
Then the ending, where all the juicy bits are, felt rushed. If you're going to have that much build-up, then you need an emotionally satisfying way of tying it together. Particularly with . I felt like Stiles's reaction to the revelation was strong, but then it slid into complacency. You'd think that three months of living on purely survival instinct would have changed a guy at his core, but you'd be wrong.
Really enjoyable writing style, and a take on Stiles and Derek, which if not completely original had interesting twists and turns.
Novel length, so the guys were more fleshed out than in some fic. Although at this juncture it's safe to say that MY versions of Stiles and Derek are fully engaged in MY head.
The sex worker aspect I struggled with, but that's my issue, and maybe because Stiles is young in this as well, it detracted from the overall pleasure.
For the writing and character development 4 stars, but I took 1 away for sex worker/ youth.
It has to be hard to write a STEREK story with Stiles as a prostitute but still keep him as Stiles. The writer did such an amazing job with keeping them in character. I cant explain how perfect this was. I could see Stiles and Derek clearly.
Another of my favorites. I will probably read this every year. Even though it takes me way out of my comfort zone there is so much emotion in it I cant stay away.
Sept 2019 On vacation I love to read old favorites, Sterek stories are always my go to for rereads. I love this one. For one Stiles and Derek are hot in it. Second, they are totally themselves. Stiles is sassy, smart, and in denial. Derek is totally out of his comfort zone but still continues to do what he can to help Stiles. Three, I love stories with Laura alive. I know Laura and Stiles would have made great friends.
This was an almost perfect book. And this is coming from someone who usually hates prostitute fiction.
Stiles runs away from Beacon Hills to San Francisco and ends ups turning tricks. One of his customers end up being Derek Hale. Derek recognizes Stiles from Beacon Hills, and, because they kind of know each other, they both feel a professional relationship with Derek paying Stiles for sex works for both of them.
Note here that Derek is a ridiculous tipper.
Stiles' "relationship" with Derek is, by turns hot, sad, sweet, and incredibly fucked up.
That description doesn't do this story justice though. It's so powerful, the feelings evoked by this, I just can't adequately describe it.
Where I drop a star is this...Stiles is really clever, but I just didn't buy him running the way he did. I didn't buy he wouldn't check in with Scott, or someone at least once.
When you find out My heart broke all over again for the life he's lived the past few months.
But, bottom line...what a story!!! Totally recommended to Sterek fans!
Although this has a lot of sexy times, what with rent-boy-Stiles being paid by Derek for sex, it's actually quite poignant and heart-breaking too.
Long, complicated Sterek in which Stiles knows nothing about werewolves, and yet we can see Derek's wolfy goodness the whole time. It's adorable.
So is all the negotiation over how much money Stiles should be paid, how feisty and fierce Laura is, and the final 25%? Gah, that's the heart-breaking part.
Really appreciated this author's ability to balance out the tender with the kinky... (oh, this Derek, he's just a little bit kinky, I tell ya).
This one is pretty long and angsty. I might have liked it more if it had more plot development (or at least a much longer epilogue) and less kinky smut. It's pretty nice, though, so if you feel like reading this sort of Sterek fic I can warmly reccommend it. I can't STOP reading Sterek, so it's always nice to find a long readable story :)
It's very readable but I guess I feel like Also a kid as smart as Stiles would never ever react that way, and I can't get past the utter ickiness of 16 year old Stiles and Derek.
In this AU, Stiles is an underage prostitute in San Fran and Derek is his best customer. Tons of sex and a bit of melancholy ensues. Undertake this one only if you have time, felt like a 1,000 pages but was probably closer to 300.
This was good but weird - a WHOLE lotta porn, then everything resolved in the last tiny bit. Like, you don't even find out he's a werewolf till the last few pages (ditto all that other spoilery goodness). Props for the actually-kinda-cool watersports.
