Balancing a fake identity, a deadly tournament, and a secret rebellion? No sweat.

Juggling my new relationship with Salem while my feelings for the rest of my demon hybrids spiral out of control?

That’s where the real danger is.

After our trip to the surface, we have to pretend we don’t know the Games are a scam to cover up a secret rebellion. The headmaster’s neck deep in the coup, Hell’s royalty are playing their own cutthroat game, and my magic—unpredictable as ever—is still a wild card.

Worst of all? My secret—that I’m not actually a guy—is a ticking time bomb.

I have to tell them the truth—about who I am, about what I feel—before it’s too late. But if I say the wrong thing, I could lose them forever. If I lose them, the Games will eat us alive.

With a death match competition looming, the pressure to get control of my powers has never been higher and if I can’t?

My spark will die before it ever has the chance to set Hell on fire.

I’ve loved this series but I do not enjoy having to read another series or books just to understand what happened between books 2 and 3. I did read the bonus content but this book still starts off somewhere else with no explanation except it’s in another book and series that I have not read nor have any desire to do so. With that said , I was able to figure much of it out within a few chapters but it was annoying and made it hard to enjoy.

On Par with Book 1

Warning! Spoilers ahead! Don’t read if you don’t want to know what happened!
I really enjoyed this book and this series. There’s everything I enjoy. A female pretending to be a male at an all male academy with a few of the guys in the know. Kit Kat finally shifts into a few things, a lioness (they thought since she was a lost one from the surface, with how young “he” is, his shift is coming out as pubescent, aka not fully matured as “he” didn’t have his big lion mane), an Alicorn (winged unicorn) and a freaking dragon! Kit Kat was unable to hide her female status after she shifted into a dragon, so unfortunately Jasper (Prince prickface), Anton and Zavida found out before she was ready. She had told Salem at the end of book 2, and Xeres figured it out from the beginning but only told her at end of book 1 I think. She also told Slash in this book as she couldn’t hide what she was in the water. She had the guys slowly show her their shifted sides, at different times to help her cope with her mental health. The 3 she told, were actually super supportive and weren’t pissed at all, it made Salem and Slash feel better in a way because she wasn’t a dude since they had never felt attracted to a guy before. Oriel was told she was a girl when he kissed her. Same thing with Salem. It was nice to read her telling them the truth when they made a move on her, her conscience reared up and she made the decisions to tell them the truth as she felt comfortable and somewhat confident they wouldn’t tell anyone. I’m a bit sad that they didn’t react in that guilty way I expected they would from how they treated her in the first book, but I realize it’s because they all started treating her better besides Jasper. Her sassy ness, her extreme defense against those weaker than her, her mental health was a big portion to this book but it was in support of her working thru his/her issues. There was quite a bit of MM, not my cup of tea but it was hot to read. I loved reading how the guys were trying to give her gifts, not of monetary value but what they think would fit what she’s interested in. Oriel with his gems and teddy bear, Anton with his books and notations, Salem and his thoughtful and carefully put together meals, zavida I think gave his clothes to her after realizing she came with a small backpack with virtually nothing in it. Her shifting didn’t come till later. When she shifted into the lioness (roughly 60% in) and dragon at the very end, her magic got pissed off enough that someone was talking down to Jasper, it forced her to shift to defend him. The dragon squished/killed the Major (he’s one of Jaspers Dads underlings). Even tho they butt heads, she believes in sticking up for him when he can’t. Well, her mouth usually does the talking without having a filter but these times, that pit in her tummy grew until it took over and she shifted. She also displayed incredible powers while training in class that Jasper taught. A power blast, which made everyone fight hard enough to kill ppl. Her aim with japenese throwing stars was accurate every time and the pain the demon felt from the star, she fed off it. They still don’t know what her demon side is, even if there’s hints like her getting hyper/high from eating crunckleberries. Jasper mentioned how rare Djinns were in the 2nd book, and I thought maybe that’s what she was… some of the times her magic came up, was when she was wishing she could do something to fight back. So maybe?

I loved how Kit Kat never backed down from telling Prince Prickface off, or when he was being a jerk, additionally, I loved how she actually apologized when she was in the wrong to him. This book had Jasper being more vulnerable with them all which was needed because he needed to grow as a character.
This book had more political drama than the previous ones but it was easy enough to follow along if the reader paid attention. Dr D or Dank had a few more features in this book, the demon doctor took a liking to her, along with the beast master (taught familiar studies for those in year 3) as the guys took her to meet him since she has Dottie, her familiar.

Overall I really enjoyed the story/series. Even though at the start of the 2nd and 3rd book there was a review of what happened in the previous books, allowing the reader to catch up without having to the read the previous books, I still like to read the previous books so I’m fully caught up with all the emotions and their painfully slow romance. Seriously, great book. I can’t wait to see how Jasper, Anton and Zavida handle knowing she’s a female and not the male she pretended she was.

Good

So this book picks up right after the jaunt to the fae realm, and after some events in the Secrets of State U, and Faetal Attraction series (you do NOT need to have read those BUT it helps if you have).

WARNING! Cliffhanger! Also it ends on a cliffhanger. This one isn’t super traumatic, probably a 3/5 on the scale, less if you read the bonus chapter which helps a lot too!

Kit/Kat’s secret is getting out. First Xerxes figured it out, then she had to reveal it to Salem, and it’s not long before all the events conspire to bring each member of the Caliphate into her confidence.

Meanwhile, events at Discordia are amping up, as they prepare for the games, even as Kat starts to discover more about her own heritage and abilities - some of them rather surprising.

This book is really all about Kat learning more about herself and coming into her own. She’s able to deal with her triggers better, tends to trauma dump less, and is finally getting to know more about who and what she is- with the help of her new friends.

There is a lot going on in this book, even as it seems like not a lot at all; because so much of it is on the personal growth scale, rather than the overarching story front. There is some change there too, but it’s not as big a change.

We see some intriguing growth on the parts of Jasper and Zav too, as well as learning a few tidbits about our other characters. There are a couple of intriguingly secretive chapters though: where events happen to one character, but our observation point is from a different character. I admit I’m dying to know what happened during those events.

Without spoiling the story, I can say this one is a must read for fans of Kat, and also for those enjoying the shenanigans in the Legends of the Ourobourous world. It adds to the intricately stitched tapestry, and adds just a few pertinent pieces.

An enjoyable addition to the series (and world), it’s nice to see Kat healing and finding her feet in her new reality.

This is an entertaining read for RH/Academy fantasy lovers.

4 ⭐️/1 🌶️—This remains a SLOW burn. There wasn’t much advance in the plot, but Kit is slowly starting to share her secret with the men. I haven’t read the other books in the extended universe, which left me a bit behind in the beginning, but I just rolled with it. Like the previous books in the series, this ended on a huge cliffhanger. I’m looking forward to the next book in the series and hope it comes out relatively quickly.

I am really loving this series by Cassandra Featherstone! I have been lucky enough to be a part of the ARC team for this series since book 1 and am so blessed for it. I want to start by saying that I don’t think I’ve added any spoilers — everything I’ve described below can be found in the synopsis of all 3 books. Zero Spark is book 3 in the Discordia University series. It is very important that you read books 1 & 2 first because these are not standalone’s and must be read in order.

The series follows Kat Campanella, a human foster girl, mistreated by the system and the people she’s supposed to be able to trust. She’s simply waiting for graduation so she can fly the coop of the foster care system and start a new life. However, all that changes when she receives an acceptance letter for Kit Campanella, to Discordia University, a prestigious and private school for boys. And not just any boys… demons and demon hybrids. What’s a girl to do? Disguise herself as a guy and go anyway! Veiled Flame (book 1) introduces you to Kat/Kit, the underworld, the college and her new roommates as they navigate their new life. Quiet Burn (book 2) has you more familiar with the school, surroundings, their struggles, etc., as well as continues to build on strengthening relationships. Kit has a group of friends and the adventures begin to grow.

Zero Spark (book 3) continues Kat’s journey. We’re seeing a lot more relationship building and trust being laid out. I absolutely loved this book in particular because we’re finally getting some answers — and more questions. We’re understanding more and more how the demons and hybrids tick and what all manipulates them. I love all the roommates, though Oriel is my favorite. This series is a serious slow burn and leaves you with more questions and theories but it’s such a fun read!

I enjoy Cassandra Featherstone’s work because it’s unique and magical in a way that seems a bit different than the normal fantasy book series that I read. I like that she truly focuses on building the world for the reader — sometimes it feels a little long winded but it’s really not a strong issue, in my opinion. I like how she mentions players from Discordia University and Secrets of State U in the other series, allowing a possible crossover at some point (*fingers crossed*). Another reason I seriously enjoy her work is because she is very LGBTQ+ and mental health inclusive. I don’t think I’ve read anything by her that doesn’t represent in some way!

I really enjoyed this installment and am already ready for book 4. As far as spice goes, don’t expect anything — there was a bit of spice (maybe a quarter of a chili) in book 1 and book 2 gives you a promise of the fact that spice is to come; however, they’re not spicy yet. This is a very slow burn with maybe the slightest hint of edging. ;)
I definitely recommend this series though.

Zero Spark is book three in the Discordia series, and I don't care how many times I have to say it: if you're not reading this series, you're missing out. I know I say that about all of Cass's series, but I really mean it. I smiled and laughed my way through this entire book, and if that’s not a sign of an excellent book, I don't know what is.

Kit/Kat is making a lot of progress in her mental health. She's opening up more and is finally willing to accept help. Kat is also letting her demon out to play, and I loved it. The guys have a lot more trauma than I realized. Plus, they are all so neurodiverse; I'm surprised I didn't realize it before. Kit fits in more with them than anyone realized. I love the relationship developments between Kit and the guys. She's stepping out of her comfort zone and is being rewarded for it. Slash has been the best surprise. His support and protectiveness when it comes to Kit were absolutely adorable and surprising from a future general. Slash isn't talkative, but when he does say something, it's profound. He and Kit have some surprising conversations.

This story was a lot lighter than I expected. Sure, the royals, Headmaster Darkstar, and the Caliphate Games are problems on the horizon. However, they weren't the focus this time around. Each of the guys is opening up, and the bonds between them and Kit are growing. I liked seeing the guys' softer sides. There were a few surprises, all of them centered around Kit. Some shocking, some not so much. However, it's what I've been anticipating the most that made me the happiest. More of the guys have been let in on the secret. Eek! It was perfection.

Cass ended Zero Spark on a killer cliffhanger, and I mean that literally. Those final few chapters change everything. Everything in my soul needs to know what happens next, and I don't think the bonus scene is going to cover it. I'm willing to make a deal to get the next book sooner rather than later.

I am voluntarily writing this honest review after reading a #gifted ARC via Literary Inspired. ZERO SPARK by Cassandra Featherstone is Book 3 in the Discordia University series. It’s a spicy, open door, 1st person, 8 POV, contemporary paranormal romance with tropes including demon university, hidden identity, slow burn, deadly competition, why choose, enemies to lovers, shifters, BD$M and kink, magic, rebellion, and chaos. The author is writing several series concurrently, and, unless books are read in publication order, details will be missed. Over the course of this series Katerina Campanella, a foster child in the human realm, was accepted to Discordia University, placed in a dorm with the Royal Caliphate, posing as a male student, and attracting the interest of her seven floormates. She is gradually emerging as a mysterious type of demon/shifter and feeling attraction toward her floormates in return, trying to prepare for a deadly competition with little or no magic or control and much less strength than her fellow students. The further I have gotten into this world, the more I am enjoying the story. Now that the author has surpassed the halfway mark in the series, it is easier to follow, makes more sense to me, and I find myself eager for the next installment. Kit/Kat is becoming less redundant than she was during the first book as the other characters now know her better. I love her snark and resilience. There are also things to like about all seven demon shifters. I have read a few books in a couple of other series by this author, that there is a definite theme in her books. Among those are why choose, paranormal educational institutions, and deadly competitions. The cameos that each group are playing in the other stories is interesting, and important to the plot of their own story. If you enjoy chaotic, why choose, paranormal romance which stretch out across a five novel series but even more novels for the complete picture, then buckle up because this is a wild ride! You definitely won’t want to start with this one! You can find all of Cassandra Featherstone’s novels in KU.

Jumping on tippy toes

I've mentioned this before but I LOVE this series.
Secret girls are like my kryptonite.
Anyway, book three picks up with the Caliphate still at the Appalachian. P.s. it's super important that you (the reader/fan girl) read the bonus material and also follow along and read the other books in the LOTO world, it's interwoven and makes more sense that way.
So KK and the boy band know that the big bad is coming but as yet, they don't have the same information that Rogue and Morgana have (see? Read the other books!)
So they return to Hell, because they have class and training for the 'Games'.
They also have friends and allies to consult, enter Dr. Dank and the Keeper.
Then three of the cutest things ever written happen, Oriel take KK on a date, Slash shifts and declares his intentions and Jasper moves out of his own way to try to make nice and a super cute moment happens.
Plus Salem, X, Annie and Zav are all on board with getting to know KK better 😉.
The big reveal at the end of the book when KK starts to emerge is 'chef's kiss' but Jasper immediately goes back to being prickly.
So, to wrap up - Read the extras that CF provides. There's probably going to be a test.
KK is a badass.
Boys are dumb.
Demons aren't all evil.
Familiars are the business

This book covered so many topics but mostly I think it's about when you find the right people, your sharp edges and be softened with empathy and compassion. All of the characters in the Caliphate are damaged, some of them worse than others but the point of the Caliphate is they're a balanced group and even though the 'boys' are actually heaps old, they're growing into a family.
Plus they all need therapy.
I genuinely love this series and I'm crazy excited for the crossover.

Zero Spark: Discordia University Book 3 by Cassandra Featherstone is a phenomenal hidden identity why-choose romance. The first 2 books must be read first along with the Bonus content to fully understand what's going on in the story. Kit/ Kat has been outed to two of her men. This story is a slow-burn and we're just now finally getting a little low Spice romance between Kat and a few of the guys that know her secret. The story is filled with action and suspense and readers never know when something's going to pop-off and hell is starting to feel more dangerous as the games approach and Kat still can't control her magic. We finally get some glimpse of just what Kit might be and it comes with some more surprises. Will the group be able to get themselves ready for the game or wiĺ the distrust and secrets tear them apart?
I really loved this book. Finally some of the men are discovering Kat's secret and it only leads to good things, lots of chemistry and a newfound closeness. However things are very precarious with Jasper as usual. He just can't seek to help his snark. Kat is coming into her own and her powers and it surprises everyone when she shifts for the first time. Kit is starting to heal from all her trauma and I absolutely love how supportive her men are being. I was left completely blown out of the water with the cliffhanger Featherstone chose to leave readers hanging from.
If you love books filled with well developed characters and plots that reach across multiple books and series, then you'll love watching this story unfold. If you enjoy paranormal why-choose romances with themes of hidden identity, forced proximity, found family, past trauma, royalty, enemies to lovers, magic, shifter- demon hybrids then Zero Spark is a must-read!

This book in terms of what happened when a bit slower for me than the last two. Like I said in another review Kit and Morgana’s stories aren’t necessarily my favourites just because the fact that that to me they feel old timey in the way they speak and things. But I didn’t enjoy the series up until this point and I hope I continue to do so after. It has nothing to do with the author in regard to the way the she writes or anything like that it’s just my personal preference on why I didn’t read it five stars.

With all of that being said we did find out more about our FMC and what she shifts into. We found out some more about the guys, what bothered me was we got theories on who she could be or why it was that she was left in the human world but nothing was really explained nor were we really given answer it was more of like hey here is a wild out there theory here’s what happened but I’m not gonna tell you anything in regards to the specific type of people I’m talking about. So that bothered me.

We did end on a cliffhanger, and the guys all know her secret now. Whether involuntary or voluntary on her part. And the Novela picks up right when it gets out to the last three people that didn’t know.

Honestly, I just can’t wait to see where this is going and how this universe is gonna come to fruition in the end

I'm obsessed with this series

This series grabbed my attention immediately and every book just makes me love Kit/Kat and her men more. I will say I do need the catch up on the other series that intertwine.

This book has a lot with Kit/Kat getting closer with the men and slowly revealing her secret to them. All of the men are also working with her to teach her as much as they can before the games begin.

We definitely learn more about what Kit/Kat is and her abilities. Her first shift was completely by accident and Now they have to help her learn to shift in and out if her form(s) with precision. Plus being able to master any abilities that pop up.

This story is really about Kit/Kat's growth as well as the growth in the caliphate. With everyone getting closer it's getting harder to keep her secret and the growing attraction between each of the men.

This book makes you feel all the emotions. I love how much everyone has grown and changed since she joined. Unfortunately some really big things happen at the end leaving us to wonder how they will deal with that cliffhanger and what is next. I need to know immediately.

Zero Spark is the third book in the Discordia University series written by Cassandra Featherstone.

💜 university setting
💜 mysteries
💜 chosen family group
💜 unknown powers

We pick up where the last book and novella left off. They are in the elevator trying to gather their wits as to what they may face when the doors open. This trip has been surprising and full of unexpected twists and turns for all of them. Salem now knows Kit’s secret and is quite pleased with the information. Will they be able to figure out what is happening and why strange things are happening? Will Kit be able to keep their secret from the whole group? Will they be able to figure out Kit’s powers?

This was a great addition to this series and the overarching storyline that is happening in this world. The character building goes so much deeper as well. We get to know more about each of the characters and they each grow more with each other in the group. I really liked this installment and getting to know more about their world. This book does end on a cliffhanger and I can’t wait until the next book comes out.

As soon as you turn that last page you want more!!!! I have loved this series since the first book and continue to love it.

The neuro love in this authors writing will always have a place in my heart. How the characters don't just over come something after one chapter, and that you can be both healed and not healed at the same time.

The only small negative (and the author mentions it so it is not against the book, hence the still 5 stars), is it is best to read two of the other series to follow along with the entire story. I have read State U, but not the other one, and while I did find parts slightly confusing cause I was missing context, it wasn't anything that stopped me reading. I personally dont have the mental capacity to maintain 3 different but interwoven story lines and all of their characters, back stories and demon/shifter types. As it was, when "storm dragon" was mentioned it took me a solid minute to remember who that was and his story (and I only finished State U before starting this one). but as I said, I could still follow along with this story!!!

I had been really looking forward to Zero Spark, and it absolutely didn’t disappoint. I know the author keeps on warning us about the uncharacteristic slow burn, but I totally don’t care, because there is so much else to enjoy! The relationship building, the revelations, the man who just can’t avoid being an alphahole (and we still secretely kinda love), the healing, the found family vibes, the “us against the world” attitude, … I could probably go on and on a while longer like this, but I just love it all!

This third book unlocks more of Kit Kat’s powers, but with every answer there are a lot more questions along the way as well. It’s fun to see the men flabbergasted though; just for that I’m hoping there is even more in store for her. Most of the men are showing they are worthy of one of my favorite fmc’s ever, but others still have some work cut out for them. However, I believe it will be magical when they finally come together. And I can’t wait to watch it happen!

Book 3 and wooooow is all I can say.
This author as always doesn't disappoint, the attention she has to works building is next level between these books and those of this world that cross.

In book 3 KK did a bit more, she is coming out and truly trying to see what the connection between her and the boys is and will be.
The secret she guarded seemed to have found its way into others hands and now she can only hope that those that know will guard it just she had.
But its plans never seem to work out for some I love that these characters never d o Wyatt you think they should or what you thought they would do when you first learned about them.

I can't wait for book 4 and to se where this journey takes our kitkat and those of her circle. Only the gods.. and the all knowing goddess author know for sure

I need more now! Another fantastic instalment in the Discordia University realm of the Legends of the Ouroboros universe. I love this series the most of them all, not to say I don’t love the others but something about Kit/Kat’s story really speaks to me and makes it draw me in and hold me engaged more deeply than the rest. This book feels like a lot more time spent growing characters and developing relationships, and I am here for it. I love the references to Morgana and Rogue, and their crews, and anticipate the time when we will see them all converge.

The last chapter, wow! That is one emotional version of a cliffhanger, and I am sure the next instalment won’t disappoint, and it can’t come soon enough. I have been impressed with Cassandra’s writing style from the first book I picked up, and it just gets better, I look forward the next read, whichever realm that comes from 😎

ARC Review: Zero Spark by Cassandra Featherstone

This series is my obsession!! I could not wait to find out what happened next after Quiet Burn so I bought a membership for Cassandra’s Ream so I could get a hit of my obsession every couple days! Well worth it!

The developing relationships between Kat and most of the guys are so sweet and I love seeing them dote on her. 100% wouldn’t mind a Salem, Slash, Xerxes, and Oriel in my life.

The world building and tension is awesome but if you’re not reading Faetal Attraction and Secrets of State U, there might be some confusion. I personally love how much they cross over.

I’m rooting for Kat wholeheartedly and hope that she’s able to come out of her shell even more despite the set backs she’s currently facing.

Also had to google what an alicorn was. I had no idea there was a different name for a winged unicorn.

Go read this series!

I voluntarily reviewed "ZERO SPARK" I thoroughly enjoyed this adventure these characters take you on dealing with secrets, rebellion, corrupt headmasters, deadly tournament, danger, magic not co-operating, intense drama keeping you on edge.
Kat & her guys pretend not to know the Games are a scam, the Hells Royal Demons have their own agenda, the headmaster is corrupt & only a couple of guys know she's a girl when the secret comes out to the rest will she lose them for good.
Kat needs to get control of her powers before these games if she doesn't her Spark could die before she has to do what she came their to do to do causing them great problems.
Will Kat reveal her secret to the rest before its to late, the cliffhanger leaves you wanting the next book asap, what a page turner.

Absolute must read

I love this series. So much. This book made me laugh, gasp and rage. There were some real vulnerable moments that helped the group heal a bit. We have relationship growth between characters and the caliphate in itself has some growth with the changes in dynamics. I still love me some Dottie. That sassy little kinkajou is just the best sidekick that Kit Kat could ask for. There’s just the pesky (not so) little secret that is hanging over Kit Kat and unfortunately secrets like that have the worst timing when it comes to coming out. So while yeah we have moved like 19 steps forward, we’ve also moved back like 12. I’ll be anxiously waiting for any little bit more I can get from these characters.

Loved getting to learn more about Kat! The shifts were epic, ALL of them! And a pleasant surprise. Of course we knew she was going to be special! Love her relationship with each of her guys, especially Salem. Love that panda shifter, and his propensity for wanting to feed Kat all the time. The guy's reactions when she told them her secret, were absolutely swoon worthy. They weren't mad at her and understood her reasoning, which I adore. Jasper kind of redeems himself in this book, and I am all for it. That cozy moment between Kit, Jasper, and Zavida was soooo sweet! My favorite moment. Did end on a little bit of a cliff hanger, and left me wanting more ASAP. I love how intricate the story is, and how it connects to other stories as well. Fantastic read!

We finally get to know some of KitKats shifts and genuine expressions of trust between her and the guys🤫❤️; along with some more explicit flirting♨️
Absolutely love this series and the way it lets the characters grow into their relationships and not just make anyone a Mary Sue. The emotional and mental struggles are real and dealt with in a realistic way and timeline. Nothing is rushed or forced, which makes the emotional stakes feel all the more real. Add in a plot full of conspiracies and mysteries that heightens the stakes even more and all that combines to a book I just couldn’t put down and can’t wait to read the next instalment of this series ✨💥🔥❣️❣️❣️

I so love the characters in this book. Kit/Kat is an amazing lead character. To go from being human to oh by the way your a demon and need to go to school in hell. The first two books really brought a great story and let us get to know the characters. This one brings Kit closer to the males in her group. Her secret is something she is very careful about revealing and I love the reactions she gets. The complexity of trying to figure out who and what she is and put up with some males , mostly Jasper, shows how strong willed she is. The ending is a cliffhanger and I just can’t wait to see how things will be changing.

This is the third book in the Discordia University series. I love this series!! Cassandra Featherstone has easily become one of my favorite authors.
Every book in this series just keeps getting better! The characters are awesome, the setting is just crazy and the story is amazing. I love everything about this book! Although I do have a soft spot for Salem, he is not my favorite MMC. My favorite MMC is Oriel. I just love his vibe and who he is. I need to know more about him!
Thank you, Cassandra Featherstone, for another amazing book in this series. I cannot get enough of this series. I am waiting on tenterhooks until the next book is released!!

Kit is climbing away at the normal pace. We definitely get some answers and some shit is reviled. The book has emotional progression but not much story wise. I still love the story. Will be reading the next, but hoping for some more answers, world and story:)

CF has a particular writing style that I feel conflicted about. If you read this far you have made your own opinion about it and all the extra chapters, and things that feel missing. This book is no different.
Can’t decide if it’s a 3 or 5 so 4 it is 😅

This is the next book in Kit/Kat's story. KK is slowly learning to trust the guys & learn more about herself. Cassandra Featherstone is amazing at world-building & giving you really in-depth characters from multiple POV. I don't want to post any spoilers, but we get some crossovers with some favorite characters in the universe. KK gets closer to all of the guys, but especially a few. Secrets are revealed & KK and the guys seem to be dealing with a lot of craziness on top of your normal day to day crazy. I can't wait to see what happens next. I definitely recommend this book!

Kit is amazing. This is a pull you right in kind of read. She’s such a strong character that you can’t help but love her. I am really enjoying these books. Cassandra is proving to be one heck of a writer. As she’s been a new author for me this year, I am really enjoying every book I’ve read so so far. The stories are always filled with so much action, the twists and turns, the chaos and everything else that’s written just grabs you. I’ve become a huge fan! Thank you so much for allowing me to be an ARC reader. It’s been a true pleasure reading these awesome stories.

I am so in love with this series! Cassandra does such an amazing job with her world building and attention to detail. Things are definitely getting interesting with our FMC and some of her harem-to-be. I found my jaw on the floor a couple times with her power and some of the relationship developments. I have to say the humor is my favorite part. I absolutely love Kit's personality and her quips and jabs at Jasper literally have me laughing out loud. I hope you enjoy reading this as much as I did!!

KitKat can handle anything. Right? It's just maintaining the 'boy' secret, a dangerous tournament, and talk of a rebellion. Piece of cake. Dealing with her feelings for Salem and the others. That's the pickle. The Games are ramping up, but that's not the only thing going on. The headmaster is corrupt, her powers are not cooperating, and the royal demons are playing their own 'game'. Can she tell her caliphate who and what she is? Will she admit her feelings? Will she survive the Games and her secret fallout? Only time will tell.

I love this series and this is the best book so far. How the author makes each character so unique yet still get them to gel together is beyond me. They way their masks start to come off, even the Prickly Prince’s, as they begin to trust Kit is done well and all interactions between the 8 main characters is realistic. Things get easier, as well as harder, for Kit now that some know her secret and she discovers more about who, or should I say what, she really is. This is definitely my book of the year. I can’t wait for the next one.
