Arrangements are meant to benefit both parties, but what happens when it’s only one-sided?
Fiery Aries, Parrish Wells, is caught off-guard on her birthday by the arrangement of her marriage to the two-sided Gemini, Klay Ramirez. The arrangement is meant to benefit her father and Klay only. She gained nothing from the arrangement other than the title of wife. Unlike Parrish, Klay goes into the situation optimistic. Parrish begins to warm up to him, learning the two faces he shows her.
A life-changing event occurs in Klay’s life, and just when things are getting on the right track for the two, he pushes Parrish away. His actions leave them in a space neither of them are sure they can come out of, forcing them to see the ugly sides of marriage before ‘I Do.’
This book was decent. To me the characters didn’t fit the story. Klay giving the brother updates? Wack! He definitely didn’t seem like the type to answer to anybody, especially since the marriage was arranged. I do like that this arrangement actually took time and wasn’t extremely rushed. They actually got know each other and dated. I do feel like he should’ve given her an engagement ring before getting married. Trent was never addressed or dealt with.
The dialogue felt off and disingenuous. I’ve never met a man who calls his thing a shaft. Parrish talking about how expensive food is just didn’t seem like something a person of her caliber would even mention.
This arranged marriage book was a really emotional book to me. Klay and Parrish's fathers did the arranging which came as a shock to both of them. I enjoyed how they went about spending time together and getting to know one another. I didn't expect the author to make me so emotional while reading this book, but she had me crying real tears in several parts of the book. My heart went out to everyone in the book. The way that Parrish supported Klay, and the way Klay knew that he could lean on Parrish was really heart-warming. Great book that I thoroughly enjoyed!!
This is the series that keeps on giving! New to this author and Author Fallynn West gave all the feels!! 125 pages and she made them count!
Only because the author made it a point to state she identifies as a contemporary writer, I can only say that this book, reads to me as an urban romance, Mami 😉.
I, however, enjoyed every pearl and morsel. There was nothing extra. No unhingement. Although he didn't play about his girl. No vulgarity. Just 🤷🏾♀️ felt good. They stood ten toes down for each other.
Book 15 of the BLP Signs of Love Series was simply amazing and I loved every minute of it!! Fallynn did an outstanding job writing this arranged marriage romance.
Klay and Parish’s love story started as an arrange marriage and slowly it became so much more. She was everything he needed when the darkness tried to take over when life became too much.
If this book or series is not on your TBR you are missing out!
I loved everything about it and wouldn’t change a thing ! Ms. Fallynn West just earned herself a new follower because now I need her catalog. That was so satisfying and the picture was painted precisely with each word!! I have a HEA! 10s across the board ! Gonna take a wild guess that Trent was the last one in the basement lol because he sure disappeared lol but I would definitely recommend it to more folks than I already have
I knew this book was going to have a little edge to it but the emotions were not expected. Watching someone you admire wither away is just cruel. The tears that rolled down my face with Klay's and his family was unreal. I am happy Parrish stayed by his side and helped him through the darkness.
This was so beautiful and sad at the same time. I was hoping Klay's father would have at least hold on until the wedding. Parrish and Klay found love not in an traditional way but I'm glad they found it
No greater love than a father’s diligent attempt to solidify his own legacy….”Gaining the Heart of a Gemini (BLP Signs of Love - Book 15)”Parrish & Klayton journey of reconciliation, resolve, resilience & a serendipitous union.
