Fallon Vale never thought a simple tweet could change everything. But when she dares to share her deepest, darkest Halloween fantasy, the game begins. A masked stranger watches her. He follows. He teases. And with every stolen glance, every shadowed step, the line between fear and desire blurs.
Alone, exposed, and aching with anticipation, Fallon discovers just how thrilling it can be to be hunted… and how intoxicating it is to surrender.
#StalkMe is a dark, erotic thriller about obsession, forbidden attraction, and the dangerous allure of giving in to your deepest fantasies.
When reviewing books I use this method: 1 Star - DNF'd the book 2 Star - The author took time to write & publish the book but it was missing something. The grammar was bad. The editing was bad. It wasn't worth finishing but I finished. Would not recommend. 3 Star - It was meh. It was just okay. It wasn't terrible but wasn't worth recommending. 4 Star - Worth recommending but will probably forget about it after a few days. 5 Star - Roman Empire. Plays like a movie in my head and will never forget. This is the type of book I will promote all over social media.
I never dreamed of being an author. I just got the bug in early 2025. I am in the process of writing my debut novel to be released in Spring 2025.
We love FMC who knows what she wants and craves. It all started with a Tweet post, and he obliged ! MMC is obsessive and possessive and dangerous and loves the chace. 2 perfect ingredients for a Halloween stalker dark romance! I cant wait for more from Simone Sumner listened on Audible Narration was superb !
i was given a free ALC of this book in return for a review. i don’t know if i would’ve loved this book more as a physical read but the little chime noises thoroughly set me off. this is a very short dark romance novella and was an okay storyline, the chimes just made me mad 😭😭 if you’re going to read it, read it physically.
Be careful what you wish for. The main FMC #stalkme and that is what she got. The Crow did everything a stalker should have done. Follow the characters around Halloween being teased, played with, and given instructions. Will she follow them as directed or will she decide this is too much. Ms Sumner did a great job grabbing the attention of the reader and keeping it. I highly suggest listening to the audio while you read. The narrators do a great job in capturing the characters rawness.
Simone did an awesome job on this story. I cannot wait for more of Crowe and Fallon. This is a dark romance with a touch of thriller. Please read your trigger warnings.
This book had me hooked from the get go. The narration was phenomenal! I absolutely loved the mask. This is my first book by this author and it definitely will not be my last.
Nice dark and twisted read. Who knew one little post online would lead to such danger. I loved the thrill of the chase. Definitely check the triggers though! great read and I look forward to reading more from Simone.
This is a free code for an Audiable listen. She’s a newer author with a few books under her belt.
The story was a solid stalker romance style story. Though the main male was too interactive and communicative, its was more like a forbidden style but made him a stalker. He left too many notes in a single day/interaction. I felt it needed more angst and intensity of secrecy and that feeling of “omg is he still around”. The friends were oddly supportive but also not. Not many stalker romances have open communication like this one did amongst friends.
I was disappointed in the face reveal. He gave himself away at the diner, but also, his name wasn’t revealed (unless I missed that). It was too simple.
Carving his name into her and there was no mention of the pain, seeing her scream or in her pov. Some areas lacked depth and description like that scene.
Overall, the story was well written. The music threw me. Between chapters it made sense but in chapter gaps, it felt over used. Loved that the two readers read their parts even if it wasn’t their chapter. Nothing more cringe than a female trying to read a dudes part and same for a male trying to change his voice for the females lines…. So glad that wasn’t the case with this listen!
Definitely one I’ll keep shelved. Quick easy listen. Less than 3 hrs if sped up to speed 7 and still able to understand everything.
#StalkMe pulls you in quickly. Within the first chapter, there is a moment that feels almost light. It comes from a joke posted on social media. That tone does not last. It shifts into something much darker, and that is where the story really settles in.
From there, it leans heavily into obsession and intensity. The atmosphere keeps you slightly on edge the entire time. The deeper you get, the more unsettling it becomes. I found myself wanting to see just how far it would go.
The audiobook narration is what truly elevates the experience. Ann Dahlia does an incredible job handling multiple voices, each one distinct and easy to follow. She carries the emotional weight of the story and makes everything feel grounded and believable.
Voss Koening adds a completely different layer. There is a controlled, almost chilling intensity to his voice that fits this story perfectly. He brings a presence that makes certain moments hit harder. I felt that tension right along with Fallon, which made the experience even more immersive.
There are moments where the story revisits similar beats, but it feels intentional in reinforcing the obsessive tone rather than pulling you out of it. I stayed fully engaged from start to finish.
If you enjoy darker, more intense stories with strong narration and an unsettling edge, this one is definitely worth the listen.
When you post your darkest fantasy online, who’s already listening?
Life and relationships haven’t been kind to Fallon. Jaded yet yearning, she posts a cryptic message just before Halloween: she wants to be stalked, chased—though in reality, she’s aching to be truly seen. Unbeknownst to her, someone already has been watching. For years.
When an invitation arrives to a closed, rundown carnival on Halloween night, Fallon is faced with a choice: stay safely in the light, or step into the shadows she’s secretly craved. Is what she feels fear, excitement, or the guilt society has taught her for desiring what she does?
As the night unravels, Fallon must confront her deepest truths and surrender to the darkness she’s always denied—because waiting in that dark is Crowe, her obsessive stalker, and perhaps the only man who’s ever truly known her.
A deliciously eerie blend of psychological suspense, taboo desire, and self-discovery, Stalk Me pulls you into a dangerous game where fantasy and reality blur until you’re not sure which side you’re rooting for.
Where to start, this is unhinged but in the best way. Obsession, stalking, and hunting, this is a dark romance that kept on giving. Crowe is the definition of ‘Touch her and you die.’ He is a cat who loves to play with his mouse, but the devotion he has for Fallon is unmatched! And although he tests her limits, he never did anything that she didn’t want. Amy does an amazing job voicing Fallon and all the female characters! I loved her southern belle voice she put on when Fallon and her friends were doing fake calls! Voss has ‘professional daddy’ vibes. He has such a deeply strong voice that makes you melt. This had me gasping, eyes widening, and blushing profusely! If you’re looking for something soft to get you into dark romance, you’re looking in the WRONG place! But if you want spice, red flags, a FMC with no self-preservation but knows what she wants, and a MMC who is obsessive and a professional hunter, then this is for you! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🎙️🎙️🎙️🎙️ 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ Please check the trigger warnings before you listen or read!
After a few too many wines, Fallon spills her darkest desire online, only to be met with a very real response.
Not only is she curious about it, but she’s almost inviting of it.
When things get extremely real, Fallon is not only fearful but also a small part of her enjoys what is happening. The fact this person is claiming her as his own.
Crowe is unhinged in the best way. His darkness drags you into the story even if you don’t want it to. Very much touch her & die vibes, stalker & possessiveness, completely unhinged, all the things we love in a good MMC.
It has a revenge vibe with his actions, & her recognition & acceptance of her true self which I really loved.
The voice actors were perfect for the characters, giving them life, pulling you into their story. Those ‘good girl’ were chefs kiss! This book gave me faith in audiobooks again, it was so well done.
It felt a little repetitive at times but apart from that I really liked it.
Thank you for the code for this! 100% worth a listen. Such a fun audio.
This book was DARK, delicious, twisted, and so freaking addictive I couldn’t put it down. Fallon’s one little tweet spirals into this game of shadows and obsession that had me on the edge of my seat the whole time.
The masked stranger??? LORD HELP ME. The way he watches her, follows her, teases her—it should be terrifying but instead it’s HOT AS HELL. The tension had me squirming, the push-pull between fear and desire was perfection, and every single scene felt like my heart was racing out of my chest.
Fallon’s vulnerability mixed with her curiosity made it so easy to fall into her perspective—I was right there with her, craving every glimpse of him, every dangerous step closer. The way the fantasy blurred with reality??? OBSESSED.
Simone’s writing is sharp, intoxicating, and laced with that perfect mix of erotic tension and thriller vibes. It’s obsession, it’s surrender, it’s dark romance at its absolute best.
This book is like Halloween candy laced with danger — you know you probably shouldn’t indulge, but once you start, it’s impossible to stop. Fallon’s innocent tweet sets off a chain of events that’s sexy, suspenseful, and totally addictive. And the masked stranger? Pure dark fantasy material.
I’d give it a solid 3.75 stars — super entertaining and fast-paced, with just enough bite. There were a couple of moments I wished for a bit more insight and depth into the characters’ motivations, but honestly? I was too busy enjoying the ride to care much. The atmosphere was perfect for a spooky, seductive read.
If you’re into taboo vibes, tension-filled chase scenes, and stories that blur the line between fear and desire. #StalkMe is exactly what it promises — a dangerously fun read. 🖤👀🎃
I really enjoyed this book! I found the writing to be very well-done and the characters well developed from start to finish. The initial plot-hook was entertaining and frankly relatable so it definitely had me invested in seeing what would happen. I honestly couldn't get a read on whether I liked Crowe at first but he grew on me throughout the story and the way he toyed with Fallon had me pining more I care to admit. I loved the slow escalation into what felt like an absolute fever dream of a finale. I think the major scene toward the end was pulled directly out of a fantasy I didn't know I had but now here I am looking up abandoned carnivals like it's a totally normal search. Great read overall!
If you are looking for a short, thrilling read with good heat, this is the book for you. It will give you the murder, spooky vibe that a lot of dark romance readers crave. The author does a great job of pulling you in and keeping you interested throughout the book. I enjoyed the banter between the main character and her friends, but how her demeaner is much different with her stalker.
I've been following this author since their debut novel and I love how their writing is advancing and they are becoming one of my favorite dark writers.
This book is also in audio and the narrators did a great job! If you are an audio person, definitely check them out.
The author does an incredible job telling the story while both Ann Dahlia and Voss Koening do an incredible job bringing the story to life.
From the prologue I was HOOKED into this story. It will keep you on the edge of your seat and disregarding all responsibilities so you can listen/read the next chapter!
Finding out who Crowe is was shocking but I also LOVED how realistic Fallons friends were about everything from the start! This is definitely a story that I could see unfolding in the real world because of how the author doesn’t dig into the ‘story telling’ norm where things just aren’t realistic.
I am so excited to get #chaseme after living in #stalkme
Simone had my attention from page one. We start off seeing Fallon's Halloween fantasy posted to the internet. She thinks nothing of it until.... someone seems to want to give her that very fantasy. And her fantasy is not all that she hyped it up to be.
I could not put this book down. I had to read it all in one sitting. It had the right amount of drama and spice. This book kept me so captivated.
Some of my favorite quotes:
"Anyone who touches you dies. You belong to me. No exceptions."
"She'll call me insane. Maybe I am. But this isn't insanity. This is devotion. This is worship."
This dark, twisted little novella is like temptation wrapped in shadows... you know you shouldn’t give in, but once you do, there’s no turning back. Fallon’s innocent tweet spirals into a deadly, obsessive game with a masked stranger who’s equal parts terrifying and irresistible. The tension between fear and desire had my heart racing, and the atmosphere was perfectly spooky and seductive. While I wished for just a little more insight into the characters’ motives at times, I was way too busy enjoying the wild ride to care. Dark, obsessive, and deliciously addictive—this story delivers exactly what it promises.
I was lucky enough to be given a code for this to listen on audible for free by one of the narrators and I will forever be grateful for this because what a book. The only reason I've given this 4.5 stars instead of five is that in parts the main characters were a little repetitive and it did feel like it had copied a few elements from Haunting Adeline, with the 'run little mouse', fair ground and mirror maze however it was vastly better written than Haunting Adeline and I loved it more as well. Amazing book, really well written and narrated beautifully as well.
Stalk Me by Simone Sumner hooked me from page one. Dark, obsessive, and deliciously twisted — just the way I like it. The tension never lets up, and the possessive energy? Whew. If you're into morally grey obsession with just enough romance to make you question your sanity, this one delivers. Simone Sumner writes stalker vibes like it’s an art form. Consider me fully watched… and not even mad about it.
It's my first book by Simone Sumner, and to say that the audiobook has been amazing would be an understatement. Voss definitely brought out Crow in all the best ways, and hearing him portray such a complex, and layered character was brilliant. Ann made Fallon come to life in the best ways possible, and this being the first audiobook of the year gives me hope the entire year will be filled with amazing books.
5 stars for the book, 5 stars for narration. Highly recommend!
Simone has delivered something truly gripping and impossible to put down. From the very first page, the tension builds in ways that blur the line between fear and desire in the most thrilling way. #StalkMe pulls you into Fallon's world where obsession feels dangerously beautiful and every shadowed moment leaves your pulse racing. If you love dark, steamy thrillers that keep you breathless, this one is an absolute must-read!
While drinking, Fallon made a post about wanting to be stalked and pinned against the wall while being taken. Crowe saw the post and was all too willing to comply.
There is a lot of spice. Alot of darkness. I really enjoyed the book.
My only complaint is that I wish there was more of a plot line. Other than that, I felt the book was very well written and was a really good read.
For a quick read, and a dark stalker romance, it has enough of a plot for a full book, but instead is just a spice filled novella. Definitely quick enough to read in a couple of hours, I enjoyed the fact that her friends were in more than one chapter, and that the book had brought warning to social media but slyly.
Fallon has zero self preservation skills and finds herself in the dark with a masked stranger and even though she should absolutely not want it and should 100% be terrified, theres something about the stranger that makes her feel safe, seen and wanted. Crow is the definition of touch her and d1e, hes been obsessed forever and now shes in his sights... hes not letting her go.
I listened to this on audible and the female narrator was perfect for this book. The male and his gravelly voice was good as well. The Female main character was so good and perfect for this dark romance/thriller. I can't wait to read more from Sumner. Mary Reader received this book from the publisher for review. A favorable review was not required, and all views expressed are our own.
The audio narration for this book was amazing. The story was quick, which i enjoyed, and i lived Crowe's chapters when they came up. The Little music part that came up between chapters kept making me jump i was so engrossed in the storyline. This was exactly how a stalker story should be. Crowe was deliciously awful. Voss Koenings voice just fitted him perfectly! Ann Dahlia was great as Fallon!
Oh my gosh, what a perfect spooky season read ! 😍 tell me why why #StalkMe makes a stalker sound like a Halloween fantasy ?! There was a perfect mixture of spice, jealousy, and gore 🎃🤣 Oh and love me a man in a mask !! 🥵
