The book opening was really discordant with the first two books. Like a heavy metal band having the first song on the third album be electronica or something. After the first few chapters it finally settled back into the groove. What bugged me was the mc always doing what the enemy wanted. In life you never want to go in the direction your adversary wants. Boxing, wrestling, football or even in business; if your enemy wants you in a corner you do everything not to end up there.
The series started off strong. This book like the rest of the series was pretty action packed. Ultimately, I found myself disappointed. The MC is so emotionally stunted as to be completely unlikable. He doesn’t grow and change at all. He seems not to care about anything. He doesn’t care about money, people or even his own life. He never thinks deeply about anything. The book and the series would have been much better if he had some emotional depth.
This has to be one of the most annoying main characters I’ve ever read about. Velik is totally unlikable and doesn’t care about being liked. At a certain point in the book the author actually writes how the MC is stupid and arrogant, which is the exact same thing we’ve been thinking the whole book. I don’t recommend reading this third book because you’ll never get that time back. What a total disappointment.
this was very rushed. it's like the author just got tired of the series. book one was a very thoughtful look at the character while book two focused on the state of the country. both were very well done. then everything else just got dumped on book three
This story of a monster hunter with zero social skills was a very interesting entertaining read that I enjoyed reading. It has some god bs but overall great stuff.
I truly enjoyed this series, I normally don’t leave reviews, But I liked the way The author built this world of fantasy and (system) for his readers. Read this for your self’s you’ll enjoy it
This was by far the worst book in the series so far there's like four characters in it and three of them are only in it for like a chapter or two it's pretty much just the protagonist running around in a list of the things he kills .
