Cheating Cheese

Rate this book
Bigfoot mayhem, a hippo baby shower, exotic wine and cheeses… served with murder.

When Winifred Page-Lopez and Anna Hanson team up for Katie’s baby shower, anything can happen—from hippo magic to a mystery Bigfoot to… suspicious cheese? Estes Park’s Bigfoot Days Festival adds a layer of chaos for Fred’s nerves and Watson’s corgi anxieties as the charming mountain town is overrun by yeti calls and fur-covered Bigfoot fanatics.

Fred’s hope of retreating to the Cozy Corgi’s mystery room with a dirty chai is put on hold when Watson discovers a body frozen in an icy river. In a mystery knottier than a forest full of Sasquatch tracks, untangling this web of lies and long-buried secrets will require trusting an unexpected ally.

This time, Fred confronts a nemesis more monstrous than any Bigfoot creature… because truth may come at a higher cost than anyone expects.

(This culinary cozy mystery includes a recipe for whimsically chaotic—yet dangerously delicious—rocky road bars.)

Another amazing mystery!❤️. This one was very unexpected! The owners of the shop sold expensive wine and cheese which a lot of it was illegal! At the baby shower for Katie the expensive cheese and wine that was bought, Katie being a google queen figured out it was all illegal that was sold to Anna! Fred's ex husband came into the picture again because the store owners in question their son became suspicious of what they were doing! Another person involved found out that the owner had killed his mother and he was locked up in a cage for weeks! Fred and Watson didn't wait for Susan and got kidnapped and also put in this cage! The father got Robert out but Fred told him the whole story that he had been kidnapped at birth! He hit is dad on the side of his head with a bottle of wine and killed him! His mom came in with a rifle and was going to kill Fred when her ex lunged at the mom and she shot him and from the force she hit her head on the wire gate and died! Definitely a book to read!

It's so tempting to review it as "Katie's Bigfoot Baby" like a headline in the World Weekly News rags of old. Weren't those fun?
Truthfully this was a roller coaster from the get go. We meet Sandy Castle (Rocky's cousin) whom you will meet again in a new series. You can honestly say the two deserve one another.
The main theme of this book is: Parents. Some are surprises, some disappointments, some truly terrifying, and some yet to be. It's also a story of redemption of characters you wrote off as unworthy in previous novels. All in all, one of the best reads of the series.

I love this series so much!

These books Never discipline! I only took off a star because I would have loved to have had much more description of the baby shower, like decorations, who was there, the find the hippo game, etc. I feel a bit cheated just getting snippets and then the narrative skipping ahead. I still loved it dearly though. I miss the days when we were so spoiled, we got a new volume every month, but I suppose waiting builds character.

WOW... This Mystery has Everything

Murder... Food... Dogs ... Food... Dogs... Yeti's ..whoops, Yeti's? Yes, as in Bigfoot or Bigfooties... And happy endings!

If you've read the series, you know all about the Branson saga. I think this tops all of that inside one book! Highly recommend the Cozy Corgi series.

Start with Book One and you'll enjoy a richer, deeper experience. Book 39 will be waiting at the end of that enjoyable journey and perhaps Book 40, too!

Cheese, Eine, and murder!

Another great story from Abbott that brings another of Fred’s nemeses to an end upon discovering a plot revealed by Anna and Carl although few believed them. Uncovered during Katie’s baby shower and Estes Park’s Big Foot Days, Fred and the Scooby gang uncover the plot and bring the culprits to justice as usual. But always with humor and the delightful antics of Watson and his friends. Wonderful read!

Another cozy corgi Mystery. I will always read and reread this series. In the newest book it is Bigfoot Festival days in Estes Park Colorado. Like many things this is an actual event that occurs each year. Katie’s baby shower and the reopening of the historic theatre is also occurring at this time. Growing up in Colorado I love the setting being Estes Park. How some locations even inspired similar locations in the series.

Another great addition

I love reading about the most current murder in Estes park. This one is no different, although I was surprised a previous baddie became somewhat of a good guy
