When he said, “Take Me Home For Christmas,” the Hollidays might be more than he bargained for…
Shae Holliday has kept her boyfriend, Nate Carrington, all to herself for four years. Carefully shielding him from the mayhem that is Holliday Ranch. Tucked away in rural Colorado, the ranch is home to her loud, chaotic, and competitive family who treat Christmas like an Olympic sport.
When Nate springs a surprise two-week holiday stay on her, Shae panics. Not only will he be meeting the Hollidays for the first time, but he’s meeting them during the wildest, most over the top season of the year. Between gingerbread house rivalries and off-key caroling in town, she’s not sure if he’ll actually be relaxing at the one place she considers her safe haven or bolting from the small town of Evergreen Ridge before the Christmas lights flicker on.
Despite sleigh rides under the stars and stolen kisses in the barn, Shae’s only focus is every obstacle the trip keeps throwing their way, leaving her to will their relationship survive Christmas with the Hollidays?
Such a fun read! I loved everything about the Holliday ranch and all of their traditions! It really got me in the mood for Christmas. The imagery was lovely and I loved Quinn and her little hellions. I can’t wait to read more from K.G. Willow.

Shae Holliday has been intentionally keeping her boyfriend of 4 years Nate Carrington away from her family, shielding him from the insanity that is Holliday Ranch. Tucked away in rural Colorado, the family ranch is home to Shae’s family ranch is home to her loud, chaotic, and a competitive family all who treat Christmas like it’s an Olympic sport.
Suddenly Nate springs a two-week holiday stay on her, and suddenly Shae finds herself panicking. Not only is Nate about to be meeting the Hollidays for the first time, but he’s going to be meeting them during the wildest, most over the top seasons of the year. Between the gingerbread rivalries, off-key caroling in town, Shae honestly isn’t sure if Nate’s going to be relaxing at the one place she has always considered her safe haven or if he’s going to be bolting from the small town of Evergreen Ridge before a single Christmas lights have a chance to flicker on.
Even though they enjoy sleigh rides under the stars, stolen kisses in the barn, Shae knows that her only focus is every obstacle this trip keeps throwing their way, and this is leaving her to just will their relationship to survive Christmas with the Hollidays.
I have to say that K.G. Willow has written such a beautiful and fun novella for the 2025 holiday season! And honestly, I just loved the storyline, plot, and subplot behind this story and I could only just imagine just how stressed Shae must have been feeling about bringing Nate home for the first time, especially at the holidays.
And with how intense her family is, I could understand how stressful it could make it for Shae. But I loved every moment watching how everything played out after Shae and Nate arrived at the ranch.
This story honestly brought so much sentimentality to my heart and reminded me of what it was like what I would take a SO home for the first time to meet my family. Family is important to me and this Christmas is so hard for me as I just lost my dear mom this past February, so this heart-warming book brought back some very special memories, memories I’ll hold dear for the rest of my life.
I highly recommend this heart-warming book and you just need to read it for your self and read all the fun, heart felt holiday monkey business that the Holliday family gets into.
Christmas with the Hollidays is the kind of story that reminds you that no family is perfect—and honestly, that’s what makes it feel so real and comforting. The Holliday crew has their fair share of chaos, misunderstandings, loud opinions, and those moments where you just want to step outside and breathe. And I loved that. It felt like looking into a holiday gathering. Most of us know all too well.
What really stood out to me was how K.G. Willow shows the beauty in the mess. Everyone has their own quirks and issues, and the family doesn’t magically become picture-perfect just because it’s Christmas. Instead, they stumble, argue, reconnect, laugh, and love in the most authentic ways. It’s a great reminder that not all families are perfect—far from it—but there can still be warmth, support, and genuine connection in all that chaos.
This story gave me holiday comfort without pretending life is flawless. A heartfelt, relatable read that made me appreciate the imperfect people who make the holidays what they are.
Thank you to Twisted Chaos PR and K.G. Willow for allowing me to read this prior to the official release!
Shae and Nate have been together for several years, but this will be the first that they are with Shae's family on the ranch. She's nervous about the chaos that may occur and drive Nate away while Nate is thinking about finally getting to meet her family and possibly something else. Can these two overcome any relationship problems that come up during this over the top Christmas extravaganza in Evergreen Ridge?
This book had me on my toes with the anxiety both leads produced. I felt the emotions jump off the page of what they were feeling about every conflict, every happiness, every moment of love between them. I loved the traditions the Hollidays had as it gives the reader ideas or excitement about what can be done around and on Christmas. Without spoilers, my favorite moment was the first present scene. My heart swelled and melted. It was an amazing holiday read that also gives a little bit of a door opened for more to come. x
Christmas with the Hollidays is a really well done holiday story full of chaos, misunderstandings, but over everything, love. Nate loved Shae and she loves him. He wants to spend this Christmas with her family. Two weeks on their farm. But while Nate has beautiful intentions, Shae is horrified at the idea. Since her sisters husband left because the family was too much for him, Shae has been scared that he family would run Nate off as well. But what Shae doesn't understand is that Nate wants this. All of it. All of the family drama and chaos. He chooses her above it all. The story is beautiful. But what threw me was Shae. I thought her family dynamic was amazing. I loved the way they celebrated the holidays with events everyday. I was really upset at the way she turned everything into an issue when no one else was making things an issue. I thought her family was going to be horrible or we were going to find out she suffered some sort of trauma at their hands the way she was being. But they were lovely people. The story is wonderful and I loved the way it ended!!!
Huge thank you to the twisted chaos pa team and to the author for the gifted eARC in exchange for my honest and spoiler free review as part of the Christmas playlist series.
K.G. Willow created such a fun novella for the holiday season! I absolutely loved the idea behind this one as I can only imagine the stress Shae must be feeling about bringing her boyfriend home for the holidays. Especially learning just how intense her family could be, it was honestly so much fun seeing how everything played out once they reached the house. It honestly brought back such a nostalgic feeling for me which made me even more excited for the upcoming holiday season. Family is really important to me so I love a book like this that helps to bring that cozy family vibe to the forefront for one of the best holiday seasons of the year! You will just have to read this one for yourself to see all the holiday shenanigans the Hollidays get into.
Ugh this was the cutest dang Christmas novella I have read this season. I was initially worried with the MCs were already a couple when the book started I was worried they would break up and I had already started to like the MMC so I didn’t want that. Rest assured they are together the whole book. This book was just a romantics dream the MMC is the perfect boyfriend always calm and dedicated when his girl is anxious and chaotic. You fall in love with both of them in these pages and I am so glad they will get their happily ever after, I hope to see more from this author and these characters in the future even if it’s just a little epilogue I can drown myself in to continue loving them. I was provided this book as an ARC through twisted chaos PA and above I have provided my honest review. Stars:⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Spice:🌶️🌶️🌶️
Shae and Nate’s story was heartwarming and a delight to read.
After an announcement by Nate that they’re spending Christmas at her family’s ranch, Shae hits epic levels of panic. Based on her reaction, I was expecting full mayhem, craziness, and outrageous antics. Instead, Shae is anxious about the differences in their worlds, and when little things happen, her anxiety makes it so much worse.
It comes to a head, and Nate rightly calls Shae out on her actions. This wasn’t your standard romance, but it was the more realistic tale that you need to show the work that goes into building a relationship.
I adored this sweet story. The family was gorgeous, their relationship was gorgeous, and I loved the storyline. Just the right mix of nostalgia, sweet and quirky to go with the family antics.
Thanks K. G. Willows and Twisted Chaos for the opportunity to read in advance.
Perfect Holiday Read: Family, Fun, and Festive Mayhem! This novella by K.G. Willow is a blast! I absolutely loved the premise of Shae bringing her boyfriend, Nate, home to her intensely chaotic, rural Colorado family during their most competitive Christmas season. The Hollidays treat Christmas like an Olympic sport, leading to genuinely funny situations that instantly brought a sense of fun and nostalgia to my reading. If you appreciate a book that celebrates the crazy, loving, and cozy heart of family during the holidays, this is for you. Dive into the chaos and see if Nate can survive two weeks with the Hollidays! Thank you to the Twisted Chaos PA team and K.G. Willow for the gifted eARC for this honest, spoiler-free review as part of the Christmas Playlist series.
This book was a cute, funny, and sweet small-town Christmas romance. Shae has been in a relationship with Nate for 4 years. She has been home a handful of times but never with Nate and definitely not for the holidays. Shae has spent the last 4 Christmases with Nate's family or just Nate in the city. When Nate announces that they will be spending Christmas either family, she starts freaking out. Their families are so different and based on how holidays are with his family, she feels it will be too much and it will ruin their relationship. They leave to spend 2 weeks on her families ranch, right away she feels like everything is going wrong. Can she open up about her feelings? Will they work through it and get their happy ending?
Christmas with the Hollidays by K.G. Willow is Book 8 in The Christmas Playlist. It focuses on the relationship between MCs Nate and Shae.
Shae struggles during the holidays to see if Nate is compatible with her family or if he'll run for the hills.
There is a lot of character growth on Shae's part, and a lot of patience on Nate's. The story goes into the backstory of why Shae feels the way she does, and follows Nate on the whole goal as to why he wanted to spend the holiday with Shae officially.
The story was sweet and emotional. A really good read. Super cozy with hint of open-door spice.
I love the main characters so much! They are so cute and relatable!
Shae is from a small town and loves her family's Christmas traditions. She is afraid to take Nate home to experience her whole family, who embrace all the traditional Christmas must-do's!
Nate is from a family with money, who do things are little quieter and with much less dramatic enthusiasm. He is determined for Shae to spend Christmas with her family after 3 years with his family.
I can not wait to read more from K. G Willows!! I absolutely fell in love with her writing style!
Christmas With The Hollidays is book eight of The Christmas Playlist Series.
This was one chaotic Christmas read. The Hollidays are a chaotic and rambunctious bunch of individuals. When Shae brings her long time boyfriend, Nate, home for the holidays, she expects all the worst things to happen. And some bad things do happen. But Nate is such a great guy that nothing really seemed to faze him and he was able to embrace this family and feel the love from them. This was a super cute read and I loved every moment of it.
Eek, this was such a sweet novella and it left you with nothing but warm fuzzies. Shae and Nate come from very different backgrounds and he surprises her with 2 weeks at Christmas with her family. Family who are A LOT (in a good way). She spends most of her time in a panic that he won’t be ok there with every moment that is ln’t perfect and is instead utter chaos, he spends his time falling in love with it. The relationship between them is nothing but life goals and I found myself rooting for them to live in happiness.
I loved this so much. I was hooked and could not put it down. This short holiday read was fantastic. Nate loves Shae, and after finally going home with her for Christmas, he also falls in love with her family and all their chaos. Shae is nervous and wants everything to be perfect, and I loved how Nate showed her it already was simply because he was with her. This was such a sweet holiday read, and I enjoyed it so much.
This book had me feeling a lot. I was anxious. I was intrigued. I was happy. I was unhappy. I was surprised at how immersed I became in this family and story in such a short read. I really felt like I was in the family and experiencing things along with them all. It just goes to show that my family isn’t the only one that’s crazy during the holidays. But no one does the holidays like the Hollidays.
I absolutely loved this novella. Shae and Nate were great characters and I loved her family. The love and naber was so much fun. For being a novella, the storyline was well thought out. I do wish it was longer, just to stay on the ranch longer. I can't wait for more from K.G.!
KG Willow delivers a heart-squeezing, Hallmark-sweet holiday romance in Christmas with the Hollidays, blending cozy ranch-life chaos with a tender exploration of what it means to choose love—every single day. Shae hasn’t been home for Christmas in three years, a fact that quietly weighs on her more than she lets on. Opposites in nearly every way, her thoughtful and dependable boyfriend Nate decides this is the year he changes that—surprising her with a two-week trip back to her family’s ranch. What begins as a heartfelt gesture quickly becomes a crash course in controlled chaos: spilled milk, shattered ornaments, mischievous siblings, meddling relatives, and a horse with far too much personality. For Shae, every mishap raises new questions about whether Nate—steady, calm, and a little city-soft—is really prepared for the whirlwind that is the Holliday family. But Nate proves, again and again, that he’s all in. His patience, humor, and unwavering love anchor the novella, turning each chaotic moment into a quiet reassurance that he’s not going anywhere. Willow writes with warmth and charm, capturing the magic of coming home and the beauty of finding a partner who embraces every messy, lovable piece of you. With wholesome humor, tender moments, and small-town holiday ambiance, this novella wraps you in all the cozy feels. A holiday treat that leaves you smiling—and absolutely wanting more time with Shae, Nate, and the entire Holliday crew.
