And somehow, they’re both trying to save my heart.
Colin Adams is the kind of man who communicates in grunts, glares, and spreadsheet edits.
He’s also my new boss—which would be fine, except I kinda tackled him with a knife roll on day one.
Now I’m running the kitchen at his luxury resort, where tension simmers hotter than the ovens. Especially with Colin watching me like I’m the recipe he doesn’t understand—but can’t stop tasting.
It starts with a late-night tasting that ends in silence and stars. Then there’s the beach walk where he opens up—and brushes my hand like it might break him.
By the time he kisses me in the kitchen, and again under the moonlight…
I’m already his, whether I say it out loud or not.
The gala proves we’re unstoppable together.
But when Paris calls with the job of my dreams, he doesn’t fight for me.
He better make up his mind, because I’m a sucker for a sexy French accent.
While I really enjoyed this story, there were a couple of places that the timing didn’t make sense. It’s like weeks were skipped. Maybe even a month from one sentence to the next. Some of this could be the actual format of an ebook but at times knocked me out of the story.
I think if it were a little longer it would be better. I think Grace and Colin needed to have more actual interactions the audience would read about instead of infer.
