Jana Richards has tried her hand at many writing projects over the years, from magazine articles and short stories to paranormal suspense and romantic comedy. She loves to create characters with a sense of humor, but also a serious side. She believes there's nothing more interesting then peeling back the layers of a character to see what makes them tick.

When not writing up a storm or dealing with dust bunnies, Jana can be found pursuing hobbies like golf (which she does very badly) and reading (which she does much better).

Jana lives in Western Canada with her husband Warren.

Psychic Leah McKenna doesn’t want the gift she’s been given. The ability to see things others can’t comes with more problems than rewards and she prays for nothing more than a normal life. But when the image of a boy being abducted crosses her mind, she knows no matter how uncomfortable she feels, she must help find him.

The premise of SEEING THINGS, from Jana Richards, is a sound one. No one would deny helping a family get their kidnapped child back, and Leah enters a family rife with secrets, issues, and drama.

The boy’s uncle, David Logan, doesn’t believe for one moment she can actually see things, even going so far to admit she must be complicit in the abduction. With the reassurance of the local police Leah has helped in the past, and the proof of her own vision before his eyes, David comes to understand the gift Leah possesses and how much it is a burden for her.

Leah and David work together to try to solve who could have taken the boy and as they do, an undeniable attraction forms. Neither wants a relationship, especially when their every thought should be on finding David’s nephew. The more they search though, the deeper their feelings grow.

Rife with possible suspects, the duo comb through them, discovering secrets about the other and just who could have pulled this off.

I am a big Jana Richard’s fan. Her books are always fast paced, ticking clocks of suspense that leave you unable to close off the story at the end of a chapter, but demand you read on until the end.

You’ll be guessing over and over as you read each page of this book, thinking you know the answers. But, like the expert storyteller Ms. Richards is, she will have the final say in just exactly whodunnit, leaving you both surprised and thrilled with the outcome.

5 stars for an excellently told story from a wonderful writer.

This book kept me intrigued from the first chapter. The fact that one of the MCs has ESP was amazing. Her talents were not just close your eyes and see it all, she had to wait and analyze some of the visions she kept getting. The pain and disbelief that David had showed in a mean vindictive way. His past traumas were standing between him and the woman he was falling in love with. I highly recommend this book to all readers who love thrillers.

In a break from her usual small town romances where strong families are at the core of everything, inventive author Jana Reynolds treats her fans with a new talent for writing edge of your seat suspense. In this case, a child abduction—fed by long standing greed and nourished by long standing family secrets—is filled with understated, profound grief and misunderstanding.

Based on a scale of 1-5, Seeing Things merits a 6.

I really enjoyed seeing things! It was entertaining and mysterious. It definitely had me on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next. The only negative I can say is that there are a few parts that are a bit drawn out. Otherwise I would give it 5 stars. I really did enjoy the read.
